Tell Me Why got proper regional pricing along with a 50% off sale. Might be a mistake though.

Thank you! Just bought, couldn't finish it because my gamepass elapsed, hoping my save file still there.

i'm outraged that the ultimate edition only costs €99.99, should have been €149.99 at the least

Standard Edition is using Valve's recommended regional pricing for most countries (sorry Brazil), high chances of it being increased in the next couple of hours.

Of course they ignored the recommended price in Brazil :cryingwhyblob:

Not even a launch discount, I'll wait for a sale.

i just want a mod to plaster Raikou and/or RAITA artwork all over a car, I'd probably buy it even if it cost €200 then...

Probably gonna wait on the summer sale for FH4 then. It's not like I will be playing the game right away and I have finished it through WinStore years ago.

And I know for a fact that if, say, Epic had bought Bethesda the very same insufferable group of PS superfans who will lose their shit if/when large Bethesda franchises go exclusive would have told me how stupid I am for not being ecstatic about Epic offering all those great new opportunities to Bethesda. So.... whatever.

Yeah, that's exactly where I'm at. Big acquisitions like this suck but my dislike for both Sony and their fanboys makes it hard not to get some enjoyment out of the whole thing.

And even though they're doing a lot of the right things right now, I'm not naive enough to expect Microsoft not to start sucking again in the future. With all these acquisitions they've been making, if and when that happens, the impact on Steam will be even bigger and worse than the EGS could ever dream to be...

edit: Also fucking CHRIST at that forza pricing lmao. Yeah okay, I was willing to impulse buy at the right price but I guess it's gonna have to wait for a sale.

damn, they really fucked south america! except arg that had his regional price.
yay chile paying more that us, that really regional price!

This was expected. I imagine 'some' games are already contracted to appear on systems and will slowly stop over time, unless they really need the GAAS return on investment or try to work out some kind of quid pro quo with Sony/Nintendo.

my thinking since the acquisition announcement has been that (Deathloop and Ghostwire aside) only multiplayer/GaaS titles will be on PS5 going forward. could be wrong, of course, and either way PC gamers will be fine, everything should be on Steam and Game Pass PC at launch

Queen mentioned Game Pass possibly coming to Steam which means the Bethesda games would hit Steam GP day one. I'd be happy with that.

I really hope this is true. I'm not paying €70 for Microsofts games, nor am I planning to support uwp games with encrypted game files.

Is now purchasable.

€70 for a 3 years old game? F*ck off Microsoft. 😡

Castlevania LoS1 beaten.
This game is much better played on Easy or Normal, harder difficulties just make the combat a somewhat worse experience IMO. I still find the series middling with a mix of good and bad stuff but the good stuff are commendable.

Gonna do the DLC next but I always find it hilarious how
How Satan in the first game has a well fit body

Then for the next 1000 years he'd been hitting the gym

Anyone gloating about exclusivity and console wars because you're not affected, remember that the only reason you're not affected is because of the decisions of people in charge, and that could change anytime.

Just imagine if Sweeney was in charge of Xbox today. He would literally be buying every single dev from Steam top sellers list and delisting games from Steam every day all while crying about 30% cut. The fuckery levels involving Bethesda would have been astronomical for PC gamers too.

Luckily Spencer seems like a normal person who can read the room. But with how much they are growing and acquiring I can see him turn heel soon.

I know I'm poor as dirt and also a cheap bastard but I'll never understand how so many people manage to buy so many games on release/full price...

In principle, I could afford to buy games at that price, but I still couldn't justify paying 70€ (or even 60€) for a game to myself.
In the vast majority of cases that is, where the one asking is some huge publisher. I'm actually a bit more willing to pay 60€ or at least close to it for high-quality independently published "AA" or "B" games in under-served genres I like.

But the MS's, EAs, Ubisofts and so on of the world really don't need me to pay absurd prices for their games.

I pay up to 150 PLN for games. Made an exception for BG3 and paid 200 since I know it won't be on sale for a long while anyway and actual RPGs are very rare.

I still remember when paying 135-150 PLN at launch got me a Ubisoft collector's edition with a sick figurine, steelbok, comic and shit (SC: Conviction and AC: Bortherhood). Now you can't even get a key to the most barebones version for that price smh.

i pay whatever the fuck i feel to pay ... ultimately i usually wait for conent complete version and there are usually just some limitiers that lowers the max price i am willing to go.
For example any game with expiration date (as in always online singleplayer) or with potential future compatibility issues (mostly DRMs or UWP) lowers my baseline price significatly . I also often get toons of random promising indies for some reason :coffee-blob:

Although occassionaly i get steam wallet cupon for a fraction of the price , which changes the counting with "wallet cash" singnificalty .

what is the best way to play the Crossbell ones after that?

Realistically speaking, you must be prepared to wait indefinitely for the western release of Crossbell duology, for two reasons:

1. The original games are 11 years old by this stage and marketing any old games is risky in terms of business since it will most likely earn less profit than newer games like the Cold Steel arc.
2. The script size for the duology is massive and will take considerable effort to localise. Any production house will be reluctant to take on the project because of point #1, above.

However, the PC version of the two Crossbell games are available for purchase legally, and unless you're averse to downloading a fan-made patch and adding the games manually as a shortcut in your Steam library, I'd say the best way to play the Crossbell duology is with Geofront's patch.

You can purchase Trails from Zero from DLSite for 2750 JPY (they accept foreign credit cards), and you can get the patch here. Secondly, Trails to Azure is available from Joyoland for 60 CNY (they accept Paypal). The patch for Azure is still unreleased, but you can keep an eye out for it here.

I recommend reading the instructions on Geofront's website regarding purchasing Azure though since it's not advisable to activate its license at this stage due to its DRM.

That's the thing, though -- "Phil" isn't our buddy, and he's not reading a room. He doesn't give a crap what you or I think. He works for shareholders and to further his career. Right now, leadership thinks they'll make more money selling on PC. What you said about Sweeney is right on, though -- someone like him ends up in charge and watch everything we're taking for granted right now change overnight.
