I don't know about games media, but the reason I ignored LiS2 was because I couldn't handle the writing of the first game. The whole American school drama is something completely foreign and uninteresting to me and I found the main character (Chloe) to be extremely obnoxious.
Looks good but I'm afraid of it ending up as a glorified tech demo instead of a competent game.
Eh, it's the mobility that won me over. That remains a fair criticism though.
The game is a year out, so who knows it may have a mix of areas with npcs to interact with and these open forests etc.

The new LiS looks pretty damn amazing. No doubts that I'm going to love it.
Forspoken looks promising as well but yeah, we definitely need to see more.

Laying the blame on the games media is odd... A very vocal chunk of LiS1/BTS fans completely wrote LiS2 off as soon as it was revealed because they were only interested in shipping teenage lesbians. The LiS subreddit is basically exclusively about Pricefield.
I've seen so many people say "I couldn't relate to the characters in LiS2" which is telling. It's called empathy. Maybe Alex Chen can teach it to them.
The engine and traversal look really good. On the other hand, the Isekai wave has reached even games it seems, we've gone full circle
.I'm still wary of how genuine that footage might be, on account of Squeenix and their FFXV E3 reveal which was literally faked.

+1 , will never stop calling the franchise Life is Cringe because of that
also its not really my kind of genre anyway

I don't care about all LiS games equally
From a tech perspective it looks awesome, and I like that they are using their own engine (even if it might not be the best business decision). The mono-/duo-culture trend in engines is just so boring from an enthusiast perspective
I'm really happy that they seem serious about actually making this game (which wasn't so apparent when it was just a "project"). Perhaps they can even ship it on time given that it doesn't have the burden of being a huge existing franchise.

Hey, I started my replay of Disgaea 1 !
Turns out it wasn't that hard, I just had to start the game
I had forgotten how convoluted the whole thing is.
What I hadn't forgotten and was reminded of is that I fucking miss AA JP games. Yeah, I know, Disgaea keeps being made, but so many others.

Life is Strange is one of my favourite games of all time, but the sequel was underwhelming. I'm sorry.
I view the first game as a masterpiece, BtS was fantastic too, but LiS 2 was just a bit above mediocre for me.
I liked it just fine but I really haven't felt the need to revisit the series. I bought Before the Storm despite my feelings on the very concept of a prequel to that story being "but why" and never got around to playing it. I was going to check out LiS2 after playing BtS, and since that doesn't look like it's going to happen at this point...I played the first LiS and didn't like it

yeah, this might be the first LiS i won't be getting anywhere near the launch windowAt 60€ at launch, LiS is dead to me

I know, and I probably should, but I don't like skipping games in a series. And honestly, I just can't bring myself to care enough to buy LiS2 at this point.
I just pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition for $108.19 Canadian.
Especially as the original was only $20 on release.
Looks like I'll finally get to live out my life long dream of playing a game as Deanna Troi with the new Life is Strange game.

You can download third party games that are on EA Play with a linked Game Pass account. Titles like Breathedge and Pyre are available for me. EA Play Pro titles don't work, but that was to be expected.
this could be good, give me more indie games on Game Pass please
Some textures sure do pop out and seem a little better detailed or have better clarity than when played through a base PS3.
Can't wait to get the new Life is strange stuff for free in 2.5 years
