You compared it to P4G and I explained why that's a flawed comparison. There are also different considerations to make when pricing a SMT game versus a Persona game.

Plus this is not a late port to PC - this version of the game only came out last year in Japan and PC is getting a simultaneous release with Switch and PS4 in the West.

It's a high price, but that's the Atlus tax. It's still in line with their usual pricing for remasters/remakes of older games such as Strange Journey Redux, Soul Hackers and the Devil Survivor games.

If you're shocked by this then you won't be buying the niche Atlus games going forward. I don't know what else to say.

It's not really about buying it, but whether it's defensible. To me, even if it was re-released a year ago, the work that went into it is a far, far cry from what creating the full game had been, let alone makng a game today. I think the orders of magnitudes of cost aren't even comparable. It's just greed, and it's fine to call it Atlus tax, so long as we agree it isn't right by a long shot.

Those changes are not an excuse for $50 price tag with DLC on top. Mafia remake was $40, C&C Remastered Collection was $20 - both had way more done to them than SMT3 remaster.

I agree. But many pc gamers have proven that they are willing to play absurd prices for late ports and remakes recently. So this doesn't surprise me at all.

I wouldn't mind the price so much if it had proper regional pricing but paying 249 BRL on a half-assed remaster of an almost 20 year old game is a very hard sell, specially with something like Scarlet Nexus releasing close to it and being 20% cheaper despite being a 60 USD game.

Plus odds are P5R will be this exact price so I might as well save up for that since it's a game I haven't played.

The main thing having to do that this uses images of real life people.

Yes anime porn stuff does get banned from time to time (not all of it though) but those are just "drawings" and this is about real life people.

I think that steam still has issues with patched content and stuff so while it maybe "censored" it may still be very easily to activate that stuff back up again.

Also remember that SIE decided to ban SS2, or something like that and because of that the game was pulled from the PS4 before they could sell the game since there was backlash about the game or something.

Just bases off those two I would go with the MSI one but thats mainly because I have both a PS5 and a XSX and being able to play at high refresh rate would be good. On the LG on it seems that you can do 1080p @ 120 and 1440p @ 100fps over HDMI 2.0.


The two biggest things that I was looking for and couldn't find information on those pages was what type of HDMI do they use and what the brightness like? Brightness is linked to HDR from what I recall.


Overall the LG one is nice but I also think it's older, the MSI one is newer and there for has some nicer features. But also likely cost a bit more compared to the LG one.

Since price is a factor be aware that these are Gsync compatible which is not the same is Gysync certificated. The main difference that Gysync certificated cost more but also works on more refresh rates over DP. So you can have Gsync work between 50-120 fps and it will not be a problem but with the compatible ones the gap is way smaller than that. Which is also why they cost less and why the FreeSync monitors were way cheaper.

Yeah when that one came out it got a lot of praise it was not perfect but stuff like the 1GTG on IPS was one of its main selling points.

Their respect for the average player/consumer is almost non existant and their economic practices are egregious. Maybe my opinions stem from the fact I didn't grow up on consoles so most of their franchises/IPs are alien to me, and the fact I don't like anime or their usual tropes, but it's time we all put eastern and western devs/pubs on the same level of accountability and demand the same respect from both.

From a "casual" just play once (only doing one playthrough) and never play it again sort of thing then yes.

The main reason that DS OG is still better is because of some of the mods that improve the game. Some of them from what I heard are even game changes, from what I recall there is even this one that is an expansion to the game and stuff like that will likely be focused on the OG version of the game but if you have no intentions to use any mods at all then the remastered version should be good enough for most people.

Yes, absolutely. Some purists might disagree, but as a Dark Souls connoisseur I'll allow them to be wrong in this instance.

That said, if you only have access to PTDE, it's still fine with DSfix. It's just less active in terms of online and doesn't have the QoL additions that Remastered offers.

Having recently played PTDE with DSfix it is a solid and a good experience that you could play instead of getting DSR. If you don’t already have PTDE then DSR is a better choice however, I think. It’s just too expensive to get a key for it nowadays and first time players won’t notice DSR’s quirks.

It's a very weird/unique game, hard to fully recommend it. It's basically like a "choose your own adventure" game that doesn't really give you much direction of where to go or what to do, but has a lot of routes you can go with.

I'd say if it gets a delisting discount its worth trying out.

Uguu, I can't decide if I want Savior on PC or Switch. Every penny counts, but for a genre that can quickly get repetitive, portable play in bed wouldn't be a bad thing.
And Death Mark still tempts me, even if it's far too graphic. I guess it's the pent up frustration of not buying games for two months, but ffs I could at least splurge on games that are safe for life [note - for 10 bucks with Daedalus in one of the Fanatical bundle, I'm not paying full price for it]

All these platform conundrums would be resolved with a mobile phone + razer kishi + steam link, but hey, I have trouble budgeting cheap ass games already, so a phone and a pricey accessory...

I've only changed the grid images for a few games that haven't updated to the new style or are generally butt-ugly (looking at you, Sekiro). I like to have the logo there so it's easy to identify. Haven't been really thorough about it, so I only changed a handful that bugged me for some reason.

Come to think of it, the Sekiro one looks off because all the other covers of From's games feature some dude and then here's this pretty landscape all of a sudden. I'll have to change it again some time.

Well, this game, during the first 30 minutes, has all of the world being thrown into Hell, with demons feasting on tasty human flesh/souls throughout the game
It's a game that doesn't shy away from killing you off during the tutorial fight.
It's also a game that lets you add Lord of Flies, Beelzebub to your party and let them fight alongside Goddess Shiva and Archangel Michael..
