I went with Fists too myself. Instantly fell in love with it on the tutorial island! If you ever need tips on Fists, feel free to ask! Although you'll find yourself sticking to one weapon soon enough. :p It can be a bit hard and not as optimal to jungle between two different weapon types on your first play through. Fists are best for KI damage, so that'll be your primary focus. Human enemies cannot keep up with it.

Another tip regarding burst counters - you can also use it to get out of the exhaustion/out of ki state. Either use a Yokai ability or just the burst counter itself. The second option works best with Feral.
That feels even more broken to use, I'll admit. As for fists, I'm mostly switching between high and mid stance, I'm not sure what use there is for low stance yet but I'm also still quite early in the game!

Never could get Nova working on the recent Android 10 and 11. It doesn't seem to support the gesture based controls, always minimising when you swipe up to get to the home screen.
I think this is due to Google not providing a proper API for third party home screens,

So far THPS 1+2, MW and Cold Ware are yet to be broken. So i doubt that Crash will be either if it uses same DRM.
there probably is nothing really break-able , looking at other Acti stuff :-/
  • well MW and Cold War are both "always online" with Arxan on top
  • THPS1+2 has Denuvo and also claims to be "always online" on PC (i remember reading reports of connection derping and game crashing cause of that)
  • from the other stuff on Battle.net , apparently Warcraft 3 remaster is getting to some ridiculous levels as far as "online DRM" goes aka "Even the textures and configuration stuff is streaming from their servers now."

I used to use Nova religiously, but I've switched to Smart Launcher 5 and never looked back. I just can't get enough of the app page with the auto-sorting categories.

Good news I was able to confirm my Nier CE PC pre-order with CE. They have charged me and I should not have anything to worry about....the best part is that since it's a digital code I will get that before I get the CE itself (nice) I may even end up ordering the game on Steam and preload and then refund the game (I have done this once before)

Breaking the Law! Breaking the World! Destroy it! .... Judgement!
(Different game sure but i love that track and it has the same name!)

Do we know if Judgement is a timed exclusive on Stadia? It has to be coming to PC at some point, right?

Regarding Euro Truck Simulator 2 and using your phone as a steering wheel:

I tried out Steam Link Remote Touch Controller yesterday, and can report back that it "technically" works.
Start Steam Link with only the control layer active, launch the game, go into the controller configuration and add gyro as "JM: Steering".
The phone will then work as a steering wheel.

Only problem is, it was too sensitive, and prone to flip out.
Now, I didn't have a lot of time to test it out properly and I am no way an expert on how the Steam controller config settings work (almost nothing is marked in any informative way), so I wouldn't call this entirely doable yet, but it is an interesting concept, and it might be possible to fix with further tinkering.

I took a look at that job description. Summary:

  • Triace is hiring 3D VFX ARTIST and 3D ANIMATION ARTIST
  • They will be mainly using Tri-ace's own 3D engine and maya at work
  • Tri-ace has 3 production departments
  • Specifically mention home office is allowed

The third point is relatively interesting. I guess they are able to work on at least three projects at the same time, likely one big in-house project (eg. Star Ocean), one for mobile (ie. Star Ocean -anamnesis-) and the last one for outsourcing work like Xenoblade 2. They did not mention which department is hiring so the project can be anything.

I wonder what explains the significantly lower price on EGS... in Europe compared to America. Who is in charge of price conversion at EGS vs. Steam?

I'd guess, EGS adjusted their prices to be slightly below Steam recommendations to appear first of deal sites etc.

16,79€ is Steam's default for $20.
There has been other games using same 15.99€ on epic vs 16.79€ on Steam.

(Humble Store overcharging by 2 cents in EU is lol tho)

Just finished Mafia Remake, it was really good! (bless HB price error)

Now I'm undecided whether to buy and play RDR2 and/or Final Fantasy XIII; I've been told to play other RPGs first, since it's not that good, nevertheless I'm curious for the combat system.
The real issue is that I don't know if I can afford such time-consuming games right now, not even considering Nier and RE8 coming in a month or so:unsure:

Also, let's remember that GG.deals is an Epic partner (IIRC it was GG.deals) so they usually appear first either way as special deals)

Stuff is always $1 or so more expensive on Epic for me (AUD). I assume the stores used different exchange rates at different times to set defaults.

All 3 are shit, Humble is the only one using a floating exchange rate. USD$20 is about AUD$25.88 atm.
Not that I've ever bought anything on Epic though [UWSL]:face-with-stuck-out-tongue-and-winking-eye:[/UWSL]

my guess is that $20 --> €16.79 ---> rounds to €15.99

which tbh seems the SANE thing to do, €16.79 looks like a meme price, regardles of the actual reason I would do the same if I were them.

Regarding FFXIII.
I have played all FF but XV and XIII was the worst and weakest of all games by far.

If you don't mind an extremely linear JRPG (corridors map) almost to the end of the game and with little to explore then go ahead and give it a try. I tried to play it a few weeks ago for my second playthrough with end game grinding in mind and couldn't bear the many flaws the game had as a FF game.

It's not a bad game but it's a bad FF game which is my point.

Interesting. I used to use the gyro in the DS4 and SC with ETS2, and I had quite a good time with it. If you get another chance to mess around, try and see if the game does less freaking out if you switch the control type from whatever it's set to (joystick or wheel in the game settings). One is a lot slower, and works nicely with gyro.

I don't know if it helps, but in the Steam Input gyro advanced settings, I like to increase the dead zone outer a bunch (100% or close to it), while turning on gyro lock at edges.

decided to complete my Dragon Quest collection and finally get FF8 as it's one of the few FF games I haven't played yet, already going through the FFXIII trilogy atm but I plan on playing VIII this year at some point

About halfway through my fourth Preythrough. Hopefully my last one, just wanted to get the remaining No Needles achievement. Turned on survival mode too, and goood god I love this game so much. So many ways to accomplish your goals even without abilities. I even discovered two new branching dialogue lines.

This has been a lot more tense than the usual campaign because the enemies are way more of a threat. I'm very nervous about the upcoming encounter in the Power Plant reactor room. Oddly enough it's the elite phantoms that are giving me the most trouble, I guess because it's harder to immobolise them effectively in large numbers.

I know all the major secrets and scripted moments by now but still got scared twice. Once was when a mimic fell on my head. Rude!

Actually scratch that, I might go for NG+ to get revenge on the Nightmare that immediately blasted me to death when I got out of a gravity shaft.

I'm so hyped for Deathloop, really hope it can deliver the same satisfaction in exploring every nook and cranny.
