Why the hell has Gog started to display prices in Swedish Kronor here? We haven't been part of Sweden for last 210 years!. Get on with times.

Or at least charge us Russian prices, that would I accept even tho we are now independent.
15 days locked out of the Steam market simply for changing phones is too damn long, there should be an easier method at least when you still have access to both devices. Or is there one but I forgot about it? ONE PIECE World Seeker cards going for quite a lot. Bad timing.
You can.

Forgot about that. I don't really like to use it too much because it never felt right to give an extension so much access to a site that where I have so much "monetary value" invested, but recently I'm really missing this feature since with all the Epic drama I'm trying to either buy or at least keep an eye on several smaller games. Thanks for the reminder.
no problem :)

in other news ... i think Teeth pretty much nails it here (regarding all those articles praising EGS):

Thanks! But too late now.

Also "After transferring the authenticator, any new trades or market listings will be held for a couple of days to protect your items in case your authenticator is ever transferred by a malicious person." so it doesn't prevent a lock completely?
When I transferred to my new phone the lock only lasted like 2 or 3 days. So yeah, there is still a lock, but way better than the 15 you're suffering now. :p

I'm on Mac, to uninstall there you just delete the app.xD
Technically I believe the .bak files are still on your drive even after deleting. I don't know if those get removed automatically later, but I just went in and dumped everything I found in /Library/Application Support/Epic

I don't know much about network stuff, but this seems pretty cool.

Today we are releasing APIs that make this service available to all Steam partners. This gives you:
  • Access to our network, giving your players protection from attack, 100% reliable NAT traversal, and improved connectivity.
  • Tools for instantly estimating the ping between two arbitrary hosts without sending any packets.
  • A high quality end-to-end encrypted reliable-over-UDP protocol.
These updates are available as part of the Steamworks SDK v1.44 release, available now.

Yeah I looked in there but didn't see anything that seemed to be related to epic. Which is strange, so have to make a better look later.

I really don't understand why curators can review games pre-release, and especially without having gotten keys of them.

This is for Dwarf Fortress, so theoretically I guess it's not that bad since you can actually play the game somewhere else. Although, apparently the the game might get some UI tweaks, and who knows what the audiovisuals are going to be like. So why let reviews go up?

They're the same thing. A Platformer is also known as run and jump in Europe. STG, short for shooting (implying a shooting game) is the term used in Japan for shoot'em-ups or shmup.
There's nothing wrong in a genre having multiple ways to refer to it.

It has been done. Boy that final mission :sweaty-blob:

Monthly Challenge completed lashman :)

Still gonna continue playing it in multiplayer, and there's also the DLC pack missions!
Wait how many missions does this damned game have?! I don't feel like going for another 40 or so missions =_=

Of course there's something wrong, shlooter is the only correct alternative :minos_cow:

89 :p + 49 DLC missions, if you're so inclined.
And you should totally continue, you haven't even seen the really cool stuff yet!

I totally recommend taking the time farming mission 2 (or some other "easy" ones) for some Hard/Harder/Inferno weapons. Level 30-50 weapons make most of the missions a piece of cake. And the others at least manageable, lol.

Steam Blog :: User Reviews Revisited

Some time ago we made some changes to how we presented the User Reviews for games, and their resulting Review Score. We talked about those changes in this blog post. As we describe in that post, we want to ensure that players who've played a game can voice their opinions about why other people should or shouldn't buy the game, and that our summary of those opinions into a single Review Score should represent the likelihood that a future purchaser will be happy with their purchase.

Since that post, we've continued to listen to feedback from both players and developers. It's clear to us that players value reviews highly, and want us to ensure they're accurate and trustworthy. Developers understand that they're valuable to players, but want to feel like they're being treated fairly. We've also spent a bunch of time building analysis tools to help us better understand what's happening in the reviews across all titles on Steam. With that feedback and data in hand, we think we're ready to make another change.

That change can be described easily: we're going to identify off-topic review bombs, and remove them from the Review Score.

Eh I dunno if I can: These next 3 months I'll be busy with a college course and I have very little interest in playing games during that period.
I can finish up Testament of Sherlock Holmes and MAYBE a few other short games, but EDF 4.1? I'd say I had my fun with it and I commend it for the scope and approach it takes in making your battles feel epic in scale, but I don't feel like doing 40+ more missions with the Ranger (at least) to further appreciate it.

depends on how much you pledged, i guess
Base amount, was just shy of $30.
So I could recoup that by selling the Epic key and then still get the free stuff.
BUT it's still very tempting to stick the knife in of course to Gollop and Epic over this...

It's nice if you could find someone that wants an Epic key...

edit
Gameplay Time Tracker seems to start track Steam Client Bootstrapper for some reason, how do I make it to ignore it?

Hmm, better to refund the PP pledge, or sell the Epic key and get the free Steam key?
Your choice.

Personally, I went for a refund, because I have no desire to support them any more. By keeping the pledge, they would keep my money, and I would be sending the message that I'm OK with a developer doing what they did to me.

I'm the kind of a strange guy that cares about how I'm treated, as a customer. When I work, I try to treat my customers well. And when I buy or contract something, I expected, at least, to not be treated poorly, as if they're doing me a favour.
When a developer treats me well, they have my full support, I'll be buying their games day one, and support their efforts. But, if I'm treated poorly, yeah I'm gone. And after the crap they pulled, I couldn't possibly continue with my pledge.
I was not OK, at all, with what they did. They sent a video to backers saying "Good news! You're not getting what you wanted, and that we promised! Oh, but we're giving you some free DLC". Yeah, no thanks. If they at least provided a download outside of the EGS, I could have re-considered. But, after their interviews and comments on Reddit and other websites, even if they went back, I would still be refunding.

They really don't care, at all, that people are upset.
Julian Gollop commented to Eurogamer:

"I don't think the Epic deal will affect Phoenix Point on launch," Gollop said.
(...)
And while Phoenix Point's community is shouting loudly on the likes of reddit, Gollop said he hasn't seen significant numbers of backers request refunds.

"We sent an email to all our 47,000 backers on Tuesday informing them about the Epic deal," he said. "The following day we had 1300 requests for refunds. The day after it increased to 1600. We don't anticipate that more than five to six per cent of our backers will actually request refunds in the long run."

EDIT: Forgot to post a link to the comments I quoted above:
