Anyone know of a simple tool/utility to resize a non-resizable Game window?
I've tried a couple of Window Resizers but obviously they don't work.
I've been using Magic Borderless to do it but don't want to have to login to Steam each time i want to run an old game.

I love summer but I'm lucky enough to have central air conditioning. It can get pretty here, up to the mid 30s, and humid.

Yep stupidly hot here for me too. Last couple of days have cooled off a bit but earlier in the week its was over 30C in the flat. I live in a relatively newly converted office building and there seems to be an obsession in England to completely insulate new buildings to the max which is great for the winter but means everyone sweats their bollocks off all summer and with rising climate change it doesn't feel like it'll be long until we meet our fiery death.

Also for my non American friends what do you guys think that the FBI actually does? The IT crowd is a UK show so I found it weird how they show the UK police (do they really wear a hat? The only people here that have headwear are the sheriff people)

Any way my confusion comes from what would they show the FBI when they don't have jurisdiction in the UK, or were those messages that generic that everyone in the world got the exact same message?

I think part of the joke is mixing everything up into a parody and overeaction.
FBI is for Federal crimes or ones that cross state borders, CIA are the spooky spy people more likely to be international, then town, county, state troopers etc. Also, Hollywood and TV Shows have a lot to do with the muddled perception of US Law especially as how would we really know as we don't live there?

And yup, UK coppers do wear hats and will get a bollocking from their superiors if seen out-and-about not wearing it. Usually it's a peaked hat, sometimes a brimmed one for the WPCs, a lot of the time it's a baseball type cap and i think the old-style helmet is usually for ceremonial or publicity events now-a-days but i may be wrong.

The insulation is not just for the winter.
You're probably letting too much sunlight into the building, what kind of blinds do you have on your windows? Do you close them?

Yep close the blinds as soon as the sun moves round my side. Only a 1 bed flat. Its a block of about 50, the ones on the other side get the sun all day and my side has it from about 5ish to sunset. The whole building just heats up to the point where by 9-10 at night its 30c. There are no windows that open though, we have these floor to ceiling window panes and one Balcony door so we just cant get any airflow. There is an extraction system but it was under spec'd and doesn't really help. Same with the heating, when i moved in the top 2 floors weren't getting any hot water because the developer didn't put a large enough pump into the central system. Shame as its a lovely flat, just the systems don't really complement it.

Still i don't want to complain too much as a lot of people have it much worse than me so ill just sit here in my pants with my freezer blocks and wet towel wrapped round my head and buy play some games.

Well, kudos for the attitude. 🙂

I suddenly really wanted to try this (even though the full version releases in 2 days, but apparently saves carry over).

Played for a bit over an hour, enough to confirm what I suspected: this is 100% my jam. Also seems to have no issue running at 100 FPS -- sadly no Ultrawide support right now.

30°C at night? I'd die, my god. I'm so sorry for you.

PC Cleaning complete. Is it normal for a PC to reboot during startup after installing a new drive?

45 c is when you know summer is starting
50 c+ is when it IS summer.
[UWSL]Here in Belgium the temperature rarely goes over 30 in the shadow, but the air is humid so it feels warmer. When I was on holiday in Turkey, it was 40c and this was only bearable thanks to the sea breeze and the huge swimming pools. [/UWSL]
[UWSL]I can't even imagine what 50c+ feels like. :([/UWSL]

I hate summer. It's 35°C outside and 30°C inside. For next summer, i will definitely buy an mobile air conditioner. That means no more buying games as the electricity cost in Germany are very high. lol
Be sure to buy and airco with split units. These mobile airco's that blow the hot air through the window don't work, as this air is being replaced by other hot air from outside. They only use lots of electricity and make a hell of a noise, so we've sold ours.

Now we have a split airco in the kitchen, because it's oriented south with a lot of glass. Without airco, temperature was rising over 40c, the chocolate was melting in our cupboards. For our bedroom, we're using a quiet fan to blow air over the bed.

Well, if your ecological/green political parties aren't complete jokes, make sure to vote for them come the time for it. It isn't going to get better all on its own.

I need a comfortable gaming chair but I can't afford it. I work my ass off and I can never afford shit.
Pro tip: ignore these overpriced gaming chairs. Just go to a shop for office furniture and buy a decent office chair during the sales. Mine sits better than every gaming chair I've tried so far. And when one of the components was broken, a guy came to replace that part here in my living room. 😁

Yup, i ended up buying a 24/7 Security Shift Chair from Office Hippo i think. Not the greatest to look at but it's comfy, adjustable and has a big butt-pan for my slender, bony ass that not even lockdown weight-gain has managed to fill. Also, Fabric coated all day long. Plastic or leather just get sweaty and sticky in summer. I'm sat here in ball-soup, i don't need it to be double-cooked from radiated heat too.

I have actually considered that. Will need to wait for a good sale though.
