I understand.i'm serious as well
i don't own a single game directly on udontplay ... and i don't plan on changing that ... ever
also - ubi can fuck right off (and not because they left steam)
but i do ... i HAVE TO use that piece of crap each time i want to play a ubi game on steamI understand.
But how can you say something sucks/is bad if you don't use it?
The UPlay that launches when you play a Ubi game on Steam isn't the same UPlay you launch when you launch UPlay without Steam, some features are missing and the overlay is the only thing that stays the same in both Steam-Uplay and non-Steam uplay.but i do ... i HAVE TO use that piece of crap each time i want to play a ubi game on steam
yes, it is ... the only thing that isn't there is the storeThe UPlay than launches when you play a Ubi game on Steam isn't the same UPlay you launch when you launch UPlay without Steam, some features are missing and the overlay is the only thing that stays the same in both Steam-Uplay and non-Steam uplay.
Then Steam or Uplay is screwing up on something on my end because non-Steam Uplay works fine here.yes, it is ... the only thing that isn't there is the store
The thing is that live service games need as many players as possible so if anything this will hasten Ubisoft's 180.
I respectfully disagree because Mario + Rabbids is a utterly fantastic game. I think there are brilliant developers at Ubisoft, but the top management needs a complete makeover. It's a company that has practically nothing left to offer me, there's no longer any quality in it, no talent, no brilliance whatsoever, it's the gaming equivalent of a fast-food chain.
There is, but the game is really not that good.true
i will play Valhalla, though ... once there's a crack around
This. I'm glad I got off this franchise a long time agoAssassin's Creed died with 3, you've just been playing its mangled corpse that finally finished rotting.
Yeah. They have a ton of talent there but every year the output seems more and more soulless unfortunately.I respectfully disagree because Mario + Rabbids is a utterly fantastic game. I think there are brilliant developers at Ubisoft, but the top management needs a complete makeover.
Not necessarily related to that but this tweet on Amazon is...somethingOpen 3D engine from Amazon of all companies. Huh.
I'm curious.
It's a heavily modified CryEngine if i remember correctly. Yeah, Amazon with an Open Engine, where's the catch?Open 3D engine from Amazon of all companies. Huh.
I'm curious.
This is old, they have apparently removed such requirements.ahh, there it is. You have to use amazon Services
As Gizmodo reports, the new system has been called "Midnight Patrol" and it requires gamers to have their face scanned while sat at a computer if they intend to play games. Their face is then matched to a registered profile which includes their real name and age, a system Tencent introduced in 2018. If the person is a minor, then a hard limit is set on how long they can play and when.
When it comes to face image computing, Chinese researchers' works are really really impressive. I am pretty confident Tencent's tech is state-of-the-art.I'm sure a few people will attempt to use a mask or photo of an adult to try and fool the system, but whether that works depends on how good Tencent's tech is.
Time to buy the game.RDR 2 DLSS update next week

Depends what do you want from the Online mode. If you go and play it solo you go around and do story missions if you didn't do those before and then you can do basically various errands. for the most part you are left alone and there are cheaters but not that many of them overall. And then you have standard PVP modes. Is GTA Online good ? Is Red Dead Online Good ? Are they full of cheaters ?
Yeah not interested in PVP, but if there are online exclusive missions or coop, me think I should finally play those games.Depends what do you want from the Online mode. You can play story missions alone or up to 4 players in Online mode. There are not that many of them though. You play online if you just want to chill out and enjoy amazing RDR2 world. Other than that it is pure grind to buy anything. especially since they lowered gold payout.Yeah not interested in PVP, but if there are online exclusive missions or coop, me think I should finally play those games.
Tencent Will Use Facial Recognition in China to Prevent Late Night Gaming Sessions
Minors are only allowed to play games for 90 minutes per day and not after 10 p.m. in China.www.pcmag.com
I just picked up Little Busters as well!I spent last night looking at some off-steam VN sales and and DRM free games so i'm not sure i want to spend tonight looking for more discounted VNs.
I picked up Little Busters! last night, it's supposed to be great so i'm looking forward to it.
I also picked up NKODice for some childish fun and Spacebourne because i've heard it's a really decent Space game.
The demo a couple Steam Festivals back was super early but I enjoyed what they were going for. I'm always down for more Kunio-Kun/River City inspired games.

Yeah I played until the pirate game then jumped off until Origins because they were pretty much all the same thing. I didn't like how rigid Origins was with the level system (like how it was pretty much impossible to beat someone 1 or 2 levels above you) so I didn't even bother finishing that and haven't looked back.This. I'm glad I got off this franchise a long time ago
Same. I just ignore these live service games (and everything from Ubisoft tbh). Lots of other games to play instead that are so much more fun than doing repetitive tasks.I'm so tired of live service titles. I want to play a game, not have a part time job grinding out battle passes.
Look on the bright side. At least the franchise you love continues to exist.Watching franchise that means a lot for you being butchered over the years is really painful. I guess that me being fan of AC games came to an end. This is not franchise that I fell in love anymore and it looks like that things will be even worse.
This. I didn't mind using uplay, especially when uplay keys were dirt cheap on 3rd party keystores. Boycotting these keystores is one of the many things that turned Ubisoft from one of my favorite publishers into a company that I no longer want to support.ngl guys, Ubisoft's case will always make me sad, I kind of grew up with their games, I have some very fond memories with the pop trilogy, Rayman, splinter cells. I still consider pop trilogy as one of my fav games, I have some very personal attachment towards it.
It'll always make me sad where they stand now vs what they used to be.
