Kvik £180 + £20 Delivery for the most expensive method according to the calculator. Not as steep as i was afraid of.
Still £200 tho, hmmmm. Also "Only 7 initially supplied quantity left." wow, does that mean they only have 7 of them?

Downunder.
Huh. I'm not sure myself. Seems weird that they only ordered 7 of these things for such a big release.

Oh god, that is so tempting. I'd love to get the Evangelion and Macross Sets for a Mecha-Christmas!
I'm going to check my bank... might treat myself to the Collectors Evangelion at least even though i'll have nowhere to put the cards up.

Here's the link to the Zaavi page for the collectors' edition to see what's in it.

edit:
... and bought. Couldn't resist. It'll be an Evangelion Christmas Binge for me i hope.

I'm planning to get an OLED TV on Black Friday. Rewatching NGE on it will be an experience. :flare_bath:

I really haven't been watching much lately.
But I did just finish watching Sonny Boy, from last season. And boy (pun not intended), was that a ride.

I can't really describe it. Very weird. Very surreal. Very open for interpretation. Gorgeous visuals. Beautiful use of music. And somehow still a strong core theme to tie everything together. I really really enjoyed it.

I guess this quote from an episode review on ANN is pretty fitting:
Right now, I feel the best description of it is a (relatively) cohesive animated smorgasbord of philosophical thought experiments presented via deadpan psychedelia.
Definitely worth checking out if one is interested in something way outside of the "mainstream".

Need to check it out!
I'm completely out of tune, I didn't even realize the fall season already started 😅
Same. I just saw that it was up here. This season seems to have a few promising shows.

86 season 2. Which means you should watch season 1 asap :evilblob:

Digimon Ghost Game has a strong start
Just watched it. Fully agreed, very strong start and the theme is super interesting.
Hopefully it can stay strong.
Also, why did they get freaking Sawashiro to voice the MC's digimon? Lmao.

Was in the mood of discovering a new show from this season. Started Gundam 0079 :sweaty-blob:
It’s old and slow, but it has its charm.

And this also leads me to say how astonished I am by how bad Crunchyroll is. Occasional buffering from hell, shit UI, and what are those 3-4 times in an episode when my stream always cut and buffer, are those points meant to show ads that I don’t get ?

Yeah, can't believe that they managed to hire her for such a long running series, as she is always busy doing voiceover for news in the morning.

Ghost game continues strongly.
The second episode was fantastic. The way they handled the enemy Digimon of the week was great and we have an evolution insert song!! (and not whatever the bloody hell Appmon tried to do)

It's fantastic :baseballblob:

Reminds me of 01 and 03 but with horror elements.

Yeah, I'm also getting strong Tamer vibes from this with Gammamon being around in physical form and the horror vibes being reminiscent of Tamer's more serious tone.
I'm absolutely loving it so far.

Wow this season really is stacked.

Just watched Shikizakura, and that is 100% up my alley.
(Darker) Super Sentai, the anime? Sign me the fuck up.
It also looks really impressive. Battles and characters are entirely CG but boy is that great CG. Very expressive and dynamic with great camera use. Action is hype :sweaty-blob:

And one more!

The Faraway Paladin also had a very strong start. Really enjoyed it.

Sakugan is great. Parenting is a rare theme in mecha anime, and this show pulls it off really well in episode 1.

Summer was a bit of a drought for me, I basically only watched the second half of Tokyo Revengers, but yeah I have a shockingly long list for Fall.

Spring was wild, though.

Heartfelt story, great visuals, and a banger soundtrack, imo one of Hosada’s best

Over the weekend I randomly came across this chinese series called Ling Long (Spirit Cage): Incarnation and tbh I'm blown away, it is exceedingly excellent.

In the not-too-distant future, the human world has long been overpopulated. Humanity marched to the stars in search of a new home, and just as this was going on, the moon's alignment caused massive earthquakes to ripple across the world, lasting several decades. Humanity was demolished. When the land finally recovered, humanity reemerged to face this strange yet familiar world. Will we, who once lorded over this domain, still remain the masters of this world?

The visuals are really good, the world and worldbuilding are super interesting, there are many complex characters and it has both kick-ass action and complex interpersonal conflicts caused by the societal changes in this post-apocalyptic world.

The opening is also very cool and unusual

(I should say I'm also not done watching yet, but so far it's just been getting better)

Finished watching the 1st season of Spirit Cage (the one I posted about above).
It kept being excellent. Wow.
Also it is intense. The 2nd part in particular goes hard. :sweaty-blob: This is definitely not for the faint of heart. It gets extremely brutal, both visually and emotionally (if that makes sense?), yet there's just enough hope and catharsis that keeps it from spiralling straight into suffering-porn. Definitely hard to watch at times, but also thoroughly fascinating and engaging.

Definitely looking forward to season 2 (which was already confirmed thankfully).

Recently I've been watching Mushoku Tensei (caught up to current). I like it well enough as far as Isekai go... i think it's one of the better ones... so far.

I also started watching Demon Slayer, to see what all the hype is about. And I'm like enjoying it episode by episode, and then comes 11 with Zenitsu entering the picture and I just cannot like the guy for some reason. I find his character to be immensely grating lol.

So, I've started reading Date a Live in earnest while I wait for Season 4, and fuck me it's dawning on me from as early as Chapter 2 just how horribly abridged the anime is.

Fuck me, I always sorta laughed at the cryptic Reddit memes to the tune of "They turned an entire Volume into a single episode" but now I'm seeing firsthand how bad it was in terms of story that got cut out to put it on TV.

Weekly update about Ghost Game continuing to be stellar. This episode just felt so fresh. Can't really think of anything like it happening in previous shows.
Ghost Game is defninitely up there with Tamers already for me.

And I guess I could throw in some quick updates about the other stuff I've been watching.
Faraway Paladin: Still excellent.
AMAIM: I watched 2 episodes and when the 3rd came out I didn't feel motivated to watch it, and haven't been since so I guess that's that.
Shikizakura: After the super fun first episode I feel like this has been slowly losing me. Just all around average. Haven't watched this week's episode yet.
Sakugan: I watched the first 3 episodes, they were really good. Looking forward to more.

I'll think I'll start with 86 Part 2 soon. :evilblob:
