People don't understand how big is Farming Simulator as franchise
They really don't. They are actually good games from what I have been told.
One of my best friends owns a farm, spends every day in the crops and with the animals, and yet chills in front of the PC to play some of this after a long day at work.

I got a few bugs in Battlefield but nothing that extreme like in this video.
But I am in line with the message of the video and the bullshit Trailers Multiplayer FPS titles want to sell us how the experience will be like.
Well, I only paid 15 bucks for it anyway and can use the sub for other EA games.

Played 7 matches with a friend in Halo (4vs4), we won 6. It was good night for Halo XD
my friends already uninstalled because random crashes in mid match(no option for reconnect) and at least 75% matches are in US Servers (We are in SouthAmerica)

Personally I'd play the original Half-Life first and save Black Mesa for another playthrough later.

You can also smoothly continue right into Opposing Force & Blue Shift with the original.
If you haven’t played the original HL1, I would recommend playing it over Black Mesa. It has aged well and I still find it to be the superior experience. I haven’t played the Xen portion of BM yet, but I never found it problematic in the original as it is quite short.
In a way yes, you can play BM as a way to get the HL1 experience. The first 3/4 of the game, the part on earth, is mostly faithful to the original game but the Xen part is completely different, for the better.
Afair all of the setpieces and story beats of HL1 are in BM.
Hmm, while most of you seem to prefer HL1 for the first playthrough, I think I'm still going to go with Black Mesa. As I said, I've played the first one a few times (never finished it past the part where the soldiers came rushing in), and with BM it's probably a fresher experience.
For a replay I'd then go back to the original.

Still thanks everyone for their input!

This game popped up on my steam recommended list, looks pretty good.

  • Sneak and fight your way through a dangerous post-apocalyptic wasteland
  • Outwit hordes of rabid infected, some with deadly special abilities
  • Scavenge for materials to craft into weapons and supplies
  • Risk undeath by using powerful mutations to make yourself stronger
  • When one survivor dies, start up again as another, with new unlocks based on progress
  • A tense and moody, atmospheric zombie experience

So far no issues for me. At least no major issues like that. I had 0 crashes but I did have some visual bugs like scoreboard not showing up properly when I hit Tab and things like that.

Like the Godot bloke shows. There are many apps and games that will need a whole bunch of interface changes to make them usable at the screen resolution and screen size of the Steam Deck.

I'm just thinking that some of you are going to be disappointed by the reality of the usability on Steam Deck of some of the games you have in mind. Things will get better and we'll see games with Steam Deck specific UI changes in order to make them more easily playable but not for a while. Especially for UI and Info heavy games like Strategy and 4x games. they'll need a fair bit of retooling i'd imagine.

tbh i own GPD Win3 and so far hasnt really been dissapointed in games i play on it :p But yeah some of the obvious ones like the UI and Info heavy titles will be quite the pain ... but the "screen resolution and screen size " being such big problem is imo quite overblown

If I can't perfectly play "Typing of the Dead" using the onscreen keyboard on the Deck, I'll return it scalp it for 10 times its value and write GabeN an angry email.

Soooooo...... I guess that the Nvidia leaks were real after all. People thought Chrono Cross remake was BS and well.....
Kinda hope Square can find the original pre-rendered backgrounds in higher resolution. Probably very unlikely, but that game looked pretty stunning at times and the music is just sublime, easily one of the best OST of all time.

Considering they lost FF8 I'm not holding my breath.

just as i was getting "eh" as exams crawl towards me and my smtv love drains, i was getting hopeless for there truly was no games to play
until IOI interactive shadow dropped that hitman 3 would get PC VR, replayable elusive targets and new DLC maps after a 2 year long content drought

so basically, i'm kind of

Anyone with any experience with this store? They seem to have Starlit Season keys.
Yeah, I am curious too. If I VPN redeem, would that work :thinking-face:

More indication that the Chrono Cross remaster is real makes me happy. I'll take most PS1-era remasters from Square Enix but Chrono Cross is probably my most wanted one now that I finally played all the way through the original a few months ago.

Well, you heard it here first folks - FromSoft's own Instagram is telling us to pirate Elden Ring.

Goddamnit I should have refreshed the page first before posting.

In any case though, to crosspost from Knockout

Yeah, this sounds like a classic case of a Japanese ESL social-media editor pushing that post without knowing all the implications of the words on the screen in English. Given the history of all the names for various projects that they pitched to western publishers over the years where the western publisher bounced it back "No, no, we can't use these words in this context in English/[respective regional language], it's racist/sexual connotations/etcetc"

Genuinely fascinating how PC games from the current app they've been trying to hawk for the last two years aren't counted at all on your play history, but GFWL games are. How do you even fuck up like that?

i'm not seeing enough talk on the big Hitman 3 news
the game experienced a gigantic content drought right from release, with lame DLC escilations and no listening to the community

literally out of nowhere, they've made it official that they will add in january 2022:
  • raytracing for PC (which is cool for some)
  • PC VR, which is an amazing addition i've been waiting for the longest time (since it was leaked in the files shortly after release), i can't wait to actually go full john wick in a realistic setting and not in a sandbox world nor a game where i'm restricted to only guns (looking at you boneworks and half life alyx), i'm actually so hyped for this dude, I CAN'T WAIT TO PLANT EXPLOSIVES INSIDE OF AN AMERICAN BANK AND THEN PROCEED TO SHOOT FIVE GUARDS (IN A VIDEO GAME)
  • replayable elusive targets, this is something the community has wanted for SO LONG; we were so tired of the same community contracts and missions, so the fact that we're getting replayable elusive targets in a sort of arcade form (where you can just play them whenever) really adds a ton of replayability, especially when it comes to the more worked-on targets like The Black Hat, The Undying, etc
hitman 3 vr is one of the reasons i bought VR in the first place; you have no idea how much I want to do a realistic john wick moment, just imagine; you're in the roof of a heavily guarded building in paris having a fashion show, which also has a secret auction for the bad guys of the world to buy info at, and you pull out your silenced pistols and then silently take them out one by one, but then you CAN DOUBLE WIELD THEM AND TAKE TWO GUARDS OUT AT ONCE and then you CLIMB OUT OF THE WINDOW OF THE ROOF AND THEN INTO THE TARGET'S BATHROOM and when the target is in the room you literally open the world, say "i'm done on the toilet, now it's your turn." and then just SHOOT THE TARGET IN THE HEAD IN VR OH MY GOD PLEASE IT CANT COME SOONER I HAVE A CRAVING FOR MURDER (IN VR)
