It was a pretty terrible show. Lots of ads and game I didnt care about, tons of new egsclusives because publishers never learn, and a slew of very pretty but boring/uninspired-looking games. There were only a handful of good things, like the gameplay trailer for A Plague Tale Requiem (but it didnt need to be in this show). I hope I learn for next year and just go to sleep :)

Yeah, just changed it to again. It was DoW that had the Blood Ravens.

The Smurfs are just a bit too boring for me.
You could play one in the online mode though!

But yeah I understand that Ultramarines are kind of the boyscouts of the spacemarines but the game was still fun

Anyway, lots of stuff to play regardless of what Square Enix or Sega do or not do:

Currenly playing Crystar, Maneater and Sprit Hunter: Ng.
Still need to do the DLC episodes for FF 15.
I'm also itching to try a few more games I got from the Fanatical bundle(s) and the last Choice (Greak and 8Doors mainly).
Games in progress: Wild Arms Alter Code F, Fights in Tight Spaces, Halo Multiplayer, GTA4, Dreamscaper and Puzzle and Dragon Z... Yeah, whatever they release won't affect me. And I will be playing the Gunk on gamepass in a few days.

Don't get me wrong this is in no way going to stop me from playing this.

Anyway, not had a chance to go through all of the anouncements last night. What did I miss that is now EGS exclusive? Other than FFVIIR?

Forgot that I also still need to play the latest area in Genshin, and there will be another one in a month already apparently, lol. I'm actually getting open-world fatigue at their current pace :grimacing-face:

Maybe I'm just a boomer, but I don't see what is so impressive about Forspoken that it commands one hundred and twenty dollars asking price. :flare_lmao:
PS5 game, that is all. I guess in a few year new games are gonna launch directly at 100€.

As for P4A, it was so obvious that I'm not surprised would have prefered to be a bit cheaper, though,

For the price of 1 Forspoken, you can get 2 Elden Ring on Voidu.
Preordered it there yesterday.

Alan Wake 2 has me hyped, and i'm also excited for Space Marine 2.
I'm also very excited for Quantic Dream's Star Wars game, in so far i am excited for Quantic Dream games, which means i'm not excited at all but will still enjoy watching it as a pisstake

Reimagined.... From what? Is this a remake situation I'm not aware of?

I'm not going to lie, the meltdowns in this thread because of SE and Sega did are glorious.
Daily reminder that a vast majority of japanese devs don't care about their costumers in general and despise their pc costumers in particular.

I'm just "happy" that my prediction 70€ (well, it's $70=80€) for a nearly 2 year old game was correct 🙃.

Joking aside, we're gonna see that cycle every few month (people getting excited by a japanese publisher doing something and then getting extremly dissapointed) until the end of time or we become one with the singularity that wins the metaverse wars, whatever happens first.

Forspoken doing very well on early preorders.

Digital Deluxe @ 150€ is 150th in top seller list.
Regular Edition @ 80€ is 300th.
You'd think that the first game to try the 80€ thing would be a more popular/hyped game, not a new IP that some people are not even sure what it is.

I have now completed an astronomical total of 3 games released in 2021! :flaregalaxycat:

I should get around playing III and IV, some day ... i'll get to it.

Meanwhile Persona 4 Ultimax peaked at 5th place last night when preorders first went up. It's currently in 14th place, but that's kind of skewed since it's early in the morning and subscription services (EA Play, Fallout 1st and Star Wars: The Old Republic subscriptions) are being charged.

Damn... Amazing results! What a runaway success!

Sorry to distract from the TGA talk but this looks interesting and people have been talking about Firefighting games here before...

Thank you, Please resume shitting on the TGA.
I have been eyeing this for a long time!

After sleeping a little...

- I'm still a petty man. Since there was no chance of Psychonauts 2 winning, I'm glad the big award went to It Takes Two instead of Deathloop, which I liked but think it was way over hyped by critics.

- With its stupid base USD price and only -10% regional difference over here, Forspoken will need at least a very fast 66% off before I even start to consider buying it.... ouch.

- They really need to trim this show down, but I'm guessing that would mean cutting the few awards they actually gave on the stage...

- While there were some nice surprises during the main event, the peak for me was the in the pre-show with Homeworld 3. But seeing no one in the Twitch chat guessing correctly what game it was made me feel so oooooold :( ( not.. it's not Starfield....)

Sigh, so many trailers behind age check, any place to watch them all together without logging in and no TGA fluff?

The UE5 Matrix tech demo looks pretty good except for some special effects like explosions (isn't UE5 big on particles, weird they botched those) but I guess it makes sense it's not as perfect as other tech demos which are far less interactive/varied in how they showcase the technology so every little thing is polished.

Tchia looks like such a rip off of BOTW with some Odyssey thrown in. Did they have to lift so many mechanics wholesale then say inspired by New Caledonia, lol? Embrace it honestly rather than pretend everything shown is your own creativity, this goes beyond Genshin Impact's in the end minor similar elements.
