We are just a few days away from the launch of the first Konami 50th Anniversary Collection.

Anyone else looking forward to it?

I'm hoping we may get more info on the upcoming Castlevania and Contra collections soon.

Just personally speaking I am only interested in the Castlevania collections. :x

Not much of a Konami fan in general, but I also wouldn't mind if we eventually got the 1st ZoE to go with the 2nd one. It's weird PC only has ZoE2.

I'd murder a lot of people for Konami Beat'em Up collection (Asterix, TMNT, TMNT2, Simpsons, Vendetta) and also for Konami Bemani collection (DDR, IIDX, Guitadora, Popn and SDVX).
No chance in hell we're getting either though...
I've been staring at the monitor for an hour, with choice paralysis, I don't know what to play
I mean, the Literature Club is full of cute girls!

People, especially on Era, scoff at the notion that you could grow out of games, but I have tried 4 different Pokemon games in the last month (Crystal, Y, Ultra Moon, and Alpha Sapphire) and can't really get "hooked" like I did as a kid. This all started cuz my little brother told me he was watching the old 90's Pokemon and I decided to check some old episodes myself and got my nostalgia button triggered hard.

Even so... when it comes to the games I just can't seem to have the same patience/appreciation for these titles like I did when I was a kid. Back then I played all the way up to Pokemon Platinum on release day and enjoyed the heck out of them.

I feel like something is wrong with me. o_O
Pokémon games, hmm.
While I have a 3DS with a bunch of Pokémon games, I pretty much only use it when I don't have access to my PC, since when given the choice to play on a PC or 3DS, I pick my PC every time, ^^;
(While I guess emulation would be an option, it would feel like a waste to play an emulated game over something I've actually bought on Steam),
I still enjoy the games, but I'm just not a big fan of handhelds, and so I'm looking foward to this quite a bit:

Finished Sekiro.

Got the Purification ending whatever that means. I saw people saying that they're going for their third or fourth playthrough already but boy, while I really enjoyed my time with it I need a break, don't know how those fellas can take so much Sekiro in so little time.

Now I want to start Edge of Eternity, but dunno if I'm really up for it.

This thread goes as well as I've expected.

It always astounds me why people always goes out of their way to argue for "Nintendo's right", even when Nintendo is in the wrong in this instance.

Admitting it is not piracy goes against our corporate overlords wishes and we can't have that.

People would go nuts over the dastardly things I do with my modded switch. Nothing.

Thing is, once you know what to do and where to go a a new playthrough can take very few hours. I said to myself that i wouldn't do NG+. But i got an itch to see how far I would get and before I realised I was in NG++ with nearly everything maxed out.

So, someone mentioned 7.62 High Calibre in the Euro-jank RPG thread over on ERA. Anyone here played it? It looks a bit interesting... Like a low-budget 3D Jagged Alliance 2...

I've played it recently, and it didn't age well at all. Gameplay and controls are very confusing, so I didn't bother trying to get into it and abandoned it after I farmed trading cards.

This past weekend I finished Utawarerumono. This was a game I consider a diamond in the rough. If you're familiar with the Trails in the Sky series, Uta shares a number of similarities which I think will appeal to Trails fans. The way the game structured was also Trails-like in its execution, where you begin in a small village (or Town in Trails in the Sky FC) as a mysterious guest and during the course of the game, the true nature of the world revealed organically through the protagonist's interactions with powerful characters which may or may not become their allies. The game was not without its blemishes, though. The SRPG mechanics is rather sparse, mostly because there wasn't a lot of unit types variation, and we don't even have access to magic/AoE type units until almost halfway through the game. While the levels sometimes make good use of choke points/obstacles, the lack of Turn Limits in all but 3 levels could almost take away the challenge in the normal difficulty. Secondly, I had an issue with how the protagonist can (sexual content in the game) sleep with the younger characters without making it optional through dialogue selection or other mechanics. Of course, you can skip through their H-scenes, but the notion that the scenes even exist rubs me the wrong way.

"Roadtripping with my harem~"

Despite all that, I think Utawarerumono is still a good game, there were a number of themes which were quite touching and you get to know the characters and invested in them in the same way you love the characters in the Trails series.

I just finished up with case 1-3 in Ace Attorney, and I can say that I'm now a new fan of the series. There is something unique and satisfying about trying to pick apart a witness through logic. While I also enjoyed the investigation segments in the same way I enjoy solving P&C adventures' puzzles, I feel the courtroom segment is where the series truly shines. I love the soundtrack too and splurged on the OST after solving case 1-2.

"Marbles are optional~"

I'm looking forward to playing cases 1-4/5 since almost everyone says these are the best cases in the first game.

I'm glad you are enjoying it. :)
You still have some great cases to look forward to.

This series is a lot of fun, and makes great use of its excellent soundtrack.
I'm hoping more people unfamiliar with the series re-discover it, now that it's available on PC and home consoles.

Will pick up OFDP2 probably later down the line. Played OFDP just last year and I needed to drop it at the last five levels which just demanded too much of me.

Sorting my library by user rating to decide what to play was definitely a good idea. Obviously I have already played a lot of them and there are some that I simply don't care about, but there are still so many cool games in the 90%+ range that I haven't played yet.
Shame that this site does not support the custom library categories, then I could just hide them. Alas, we still need to wait for the new Client Update for that functionality (hopefully).

You have correctly identified one of the games I haven't played yet :p
It's downloaded. For ages, actually.
But for some reason I never feel like playing it. Possible because I've heard it has lots of suffering and choices with consequences and I'm known to suffer from Choice Paralysis™.

I've downloaded Spec-Ops: The Line, Arkham City, Humans Fall Flat and Papo & Yo for a first batch of things I feel like playing/trying out.

Both my PCs died today (maybe not today, but I noticed that my living room one was only dead today anyway), huh, tough week incoming I guess. To make things worse, Friday will be a holiday in my country so even if I buy now I'll probably only receive new parts next week.
