Just a silly headsup.
If you want to play Bail or Jail on Deck

The game crashes when you first launch it on Deck or Desktop SteamOS mode when it makes you to accept ToS (there's no way to accept it).
So people could think is unplayable on Deck.
Well if you have a windows PC, start the game there, accept ToS, save (synchronizing with Steam cloud).
Go back to your Deck, the game does not show ToS agreement and plays perfect XD.

An indie immersive sim.
Tried the demo. It's a pretty interesting idea, being able to jump between all kinds of objects, each with very different controls and abilities. My only big grievance is the camera. Depending on what kind of machine you control, the game can be very weird to play and at least the very first robot you play in the demo made me almost feel nauseous.
Also, playing it on the Deck, the CPU usage goes through the roof and it draws 25W near constantly. Playing at 30 FPS also somehow makes everything about the game's camera worse. Game just feels like a technical mess.

I don't mind immersive sims, but Ctrl Alt Ego is pretty weird and experimental. It makes Deus Ex, Prey and those sort of games look downright conventional.
It really annoys me that the camera is hard for me get around, I think I'd have a lot more fun with it if it was in third person or the camera was reigned in a bit so as to not make me sick.

Looking at Generation Zero, it doesn't claim to be an immersive sim, seems more like a co-op action game with a stealth focus.

I would love to get more "typical" immersive sims like System Shock, Deus Ex or Prey. Sadly, the genre seems to be getting less and less popular. Deus Ex's future seems completely unclear, the new System Shock games (3 and remake) seem to still be years and years out, or getting cancelled (as with 3) and I don't think we will ever see a Prey 2.
There's other games from some of the developers of these games, like Weird West, but the time of big AAA immersive sims seems to be very much over.

After 100h+ of gameplay I wasn't expecting Troubleshooter to pull a Sopranos ending on me yet here we are...
Seriously though, what the hell? You can't introduce the triads, the league of assassins and shady scheming politicians, do nothing with them and end the game a couple hours later... even the big bad guy you've been fighting most of the game just goes on his merry way... I've heard of sequel bait but this is on a completely new level.

Is it not a live service game?

IIRC back in the day they just ran out of money, they work on "Season 2" but kinda slowly.

Yea, this is sort of accurate. I "finished" the game ages ago and they've been slowly releasing more mini-chapters. There's a fair bit more content in the game now than on release - quite a few hours. They have made posts about it as well, it sounds like they partly wanted to just jump to doing a sequel due to the limitations in the game but they don't want to just ditch it so they are plugging away for now. They do so many of those little announcements that the bigger discussions get lost after a while.

Unless they go completely bankrupt seems like they'll finish the story either via the trickle of free updates, or with a full blown sequel, but it's not gonna be anytime soon.

For some reason, Ubisoft is giving out a 1 week subscription to Ubisoft+ through Prime Gaming/Twitch. Why is it only a week? They could have given a month.
Europe is excluded it seems?

This is the first time I see region restrictions on Twitch Gaming.

Personally, I see value in giving an indie dev a day-one support rather than expecting T2/R* to make good on their empty promises.
Are we strictly talking games? if so, I haven't played a GTA since... San Andreas, and only Manhunt outside that, so I don't really give Rockstar much time of day as is, so I think we're coming at this from the same angle if indeed it's just about the games.

I still haven’t played GTA V. It is basically one of my top priority picks that I just never start.
I blame the delayed PC release on one hand. A little like EGS shenanigans. You release the game exclusively on something for one to several years and my drive is gone.
I‘m also no the most woke, I try though, but I have negative interest in playing with the psycho or torturing someone, that’s something that’s absent of my video game bingo card. Huge turn off.
And as much as I loved the series, I fear it may have lost some of its luster, gone a little past its prime. They never did surpass San Andreas and sandbox urban mayhem feels a little yeah, been there, done that.
But it annoys me.

Yep, Razer stuff looks pretty but it’s price is too high and the quality very low.

‘But I have a mouse from 15 years ago!’ Yeah back then they weren’t so bad.

I used to be a big fan of the GTA series ever since GTA 1.
I loved the GTA3-Vice City- San Andreas trilogy and all the characters that were shared between the games.

So when GTA IV came along and ditched all the previous characters (except Lazlo), introduced a new more "serious" story (except it wasn't since it was still filled with wacky characters) and a story that seemed to drag along forever, I wasn't that impressed. Oh, and don't forget the horrendous understeered vehicles you were supposed to have high speed chases with.

What even was the story in GTA IV? Nico chasing a war criminal, stealing some diamonds (that disappear?) and robbing a bank with the irish brothers?

Then GTA V comes along. Introduces Trevor, a character that in no way represents how I've ever played the games, Franklin gets a rags-to-riches storyline that lasts for like 3 missions then ends with him already in a mansion, adds the excellent heists (but there's too few of them), and has a storyline that is so boring that you immediately forget what its about.

Some government agents making them do stuff to other government agents? There was something about a movie studio?

All of the humor is also extremely try-hard and "edgy".

I don't know if It's me who's older, or the game that more immature, but it didn't feel as fun as the more classic games.

What is with these AAA dev veterans that worked on SP games establishing new studios promoting them as "from veterans that made AAA SP games" and then saying how they are working on MP game...
I dunno what bothers me more.. that or the fact that they present their new games as being "AAA" when they dont have the budget or the staff to make one.

I've always used cheap speakers on my PC, this time I felt like ordering something better (though still 2.0 speakers since I don't have room for anything more than that in my desk).
I've heard good things about these (Razer Nommo), so I hope they sound good enough.

I have those speakers and they are pretty good for my use. not had any problems with them. have had mine for over a year,

Yeah sad to say it, but Razer products have ALWAYS broken within a year for me. Mice and keyboards, doesn't matter. Always end up with double clicks or ghosting keys. Not to mention the software is SHIT.

I guess they can't mess up speakers too bad, but I'd still be wary. 😓
Hmm, when it comes to speakers, where I live I really don't have many alternatives that could fit my desk.
For a similar price there's the Edifier G2000, but I heard that the bass in these is a bit lacking?

Currently I'm using my old cheap Logitech LS11, a while back I tried to replace them with Logitech Z200, but while the Z200 sounded mostly fine in music, games sound effects sounded really muffled...

The Razer speakers should at least be better than both the Logitech ones that I have?

I could upgrade my ten year old Logitech 2.1 speakers (Z21 something) but audio is such a low priority for me that I never feel compelled to.
These Razor speakers are tempting me (already have a Chroma enabled Black Widow keyboard), but oh my do they look hideous.
Are these Bose ones any good? I added them to my wishlist after a commendation a while ago.

Add me to the club of bad experiences with Razer products. My mouse got a double click issue after only a year of use. My friend bought Razer 17" laptop and it broke after about 10 months. He got a replacement unit with better specs which he immediately sold.
