...
Nope. Playtest will take place during two unannounced weekends in September.

Fuuu...

(Already tried installing two times, it's gonna be a lot of rejections until those two weekends. Or I grow some sense.)

Sonic Frontiers gameplay footage, while I'm still unsure about it from a concept point of view, this newest footage doesn't look as rough as the initial footage from a few months ago.

I respect Sega for showing early footage of a game like this, with the UI and assets like music not yet in the game. I agree that the concept of an open-world Sonic game still seems a bit strange. It looks super empty, and traversal would have to be quite fast to not make that become incredibly boring.

Footage from a few months ago had music, so I think whoever recorded this footage just turned off the music.
Same for the UI, recordings from people trying the demo in gamescom had the UI enabled.

Immortality has a lot more buzz around it, and I'm definitely excited to play it (though I should probably play Telling Lies first), but don't sleep on Tinykin if you're a fan of 3D platformers. Demo was quite good.

And don't be misled by the Pikmin similarities - it obviously takes inspiration from Pikmin, but it's definitely more of a 3D platformer with some Pikmin elements than the other way around. If you want more of a Pikmin-like on PC, I'd recommend The Wild at Heart.
