Its an 11600K fwiwI'd say it could depend on what cpu you got, if it needs that extra juice or not. Could be that some new CPU's just won't boot without it, who knows.

I've checked and replugged several times-Couple maybe obvious questions:
Is the 8 pin connector properly in on both ends?
Are you using the cables that came with the psu or cablemod or any other aftermarket cables? I ask because it's surprising that you don't have the 4pin connector as well. I think my rmx came with several ATX12V connectors that were all 4+4.
I only just saw this edit.Edit: Also, looking at the mobo manual, there are several leds in the mobo that might help you narrow down your problem. 4 leds next to the big power connector and 1 led below the 8pin power.
Theres a few Z590 models but this is from the P manual.I cant see anything that looks like an led here at the big one for example
Also just did a cmos reset and still nothing
Is there any way to find out? I dont have spare parts to do soTheres a few Z590 models but this is from the P manual.
Should beep during POST, if thats not happening, sounds like MOBO is shot, or could be shorting on something.
Tried that too now, no changeI had to take mine out the case, put it on a wooden table and try it there to eliminate shorting possibilities.
Made no difference though.
We must wait and see.Uh, the rumored specs of the 40xx series are tempting. I may wait for release and try my hand at buying one (and fail spectacularly in a sea of scalpers obviously).
The 4080 would be 320W
The 4070 would be 285W
I don't know shit about that, which PSU power would be appropriate ? I've got a 550W, I think.
Windows 11 is stable af. I have not had a single problem with it.This probably isn't the right thread, but I'm still on Win 10, thinking of upgrading to Win 11.
Any reason for/against? I literally just play games and browse the Internet on it.
For your use case it's probably fine. This probably isn't the right thread, but I'm still on Win 10, thinking of upgrading to Win 11.

Oh yeah. That is annoying. its a weird design decisionI still wonder who had the bright idea to put the actually useful version of the explorer context menu behind an extra menu.
The lack of switching window when holding a file is beginning to seriously annoy me.This probably isn't the right thread, but I'm still on Win 10, thinking of upgrading to Win 11.

Why not give Linux a try? This probably isn't the right thread, but I'm still on Win 10, thinking of upgrading to Win 11.

I would say that this looks good.CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor (€239.90 @ Amazon France)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition 57.3 CFM CPU Cooler (€50.90 @ Infomax Paris)
Case: be quiet! Pure Base 500DX ATX Mid Tower Case (€123.88 @ Alternate)
Power Supply: Corsair RMx (2021) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply (€140.99 @ Amazon France)
Total: €555.67
Yay or Nay ?
The CPU Fan should do a decent job if I don't want to sell a kidney for a Noctua ?
And the PSU should be good for the new nvidia 400xx ? (yeah I know no one can read the future, just asking for your opinion)
Have the same router. So far, no complaints with it. Big improvement over my previous router that's for sure
New router get.. finally full speed over 5ghz.. now my in house pc/game streaming setup is perfect.
They're sold out everywhere right now. From what I gather this isn't just a UK supply issue.Anyone in the UK managed to order a Gulikit Controller? If so where from?
I want to get a Gilikit KingKong Pro 2 Controller but nowhere seems to sell them. Any ideas?
Here in CAD-land, both teams still selling most of the 6800/3080 level cards in the $1000 range, so I hope to see some big drops as September and October roll in.It's funny having read all these news for like 3 months about card availability and prices dropping, and then I look at the local stores and the prices have only really gone down like 40€ since April for the card I bought.
By Grabthar's hammer, what a savings.
AMD will show off the new Ryzen processors in 7? hours on their YouTube channel:
Hopefully they will also give a preview of their next GPU generation.
