Happy P5R month everyone

:steam_pigblanket:

Can't believe we finally get it and hopefully P3 is soon after (preferably early next year).

Our Decks are indeed going places :)

That is probably all I'm getting this month tho I really want the new RE8 Gold since I've yet to play the vanilla and now its really tempting with all the dlc/3rd person stuff. Maybe I'll hold off for first discount on it because P5R is a really long game. Gonna hold off on Gotham Knights as well for the same reason.

What an utterly insane month for Steam releases. Not one, but two (possibly three?) Sony ports and fucking PERSONA 5 right on the heels of Zero no Kiseki and Judgment.

I still haven't finished Spider-Man and I haven't touched Zero yet because I'm halfway through Judgment and it's way too good to play anything else. I think I'm gonna have to skip Uncharted for now because I'm not even sure I'll be able to find the time to finish the three games I just mentionned in time for P5....

Tons of game releasing this month. Don't want to buy anything because I spent too much money on videogames and hobby stuff last month. But can I stop myself from impulse purchase though is another question 👀 👀

The stadia to -> Ubisoft thing will be fairly simple I imagine since the very first tested game was Assassins Creed Odyssey and my gameplay/data was transferred over from doing the original Stadia Alpha. (Not to mention they gave me a copy)

Another great OP, Mor .
Still kinda whack to think Uncharted will release on PC soon. I still don't understand why they opted to go for 4, before 1 to 3, but clearly it's just a question of time now until those games also hit Steam.
Both Halo and Uncharted united on the same platform. It's nice to see a world where platform exclusivity has become an alias for Nintendo games.

Gonna probably buy Uncharted 4 once reviews drop. As for Persona 5 Royal, I got it preloaded on Xbox Game Pass, as I'm gonna demo that version first before buying it on Steam.

The last time that I used Game Pass as a demo service was back when Gears 5 and Halo Infinite released.

Sad about that Spike Chunsofts game.

If they really plan to expand even more in Japan then they need to figure out what gets banned and do a better job at guidelines.

As of now Sony has banned stuff and that has left some people just getting the game on Switch.

So you could go either Switch or PC and stuff like that could lead to people just sticking to Switch.

How many people? Who knows but just something to consider.

Don't think I'm going to grab anything other than P5R this month. Already preordered Uncharted, zero interest in Sackboy for that price and I'm done with Trails, so my October games should be Lost Judgment, Kena, Uncharted and Persona. It's going be a fine month, as long as there are no heat waves around, of course.

another month, another dime to make
and since it's october, i'll start off with my gaming related nightmares, in fact one i just had as i woke up at 03:40 AM

I've maybe told about one of my nightmares here before, about a mobile ad. If not, the nightmare was this ad for this mobile game where you had to swing a lamp left and right to reveal different things, and the ad ended when the lamp's light showed the torso of a man completely decked in shadows.

Just now, I had something else; God of War 2018.
It was in the middle of some large fight with both Kratos and Atreus involved. It was of course from the perspective of Kratos, including his thoughts, and we were fighting some strong guy roughly the same size of us and all. However, the battle itself was huge, very destructive. Comparable to that first fight with the stranger, but hurling buildings type of destructive.
However, in the fight, the boss proceeds to throw something huge at you, some construction thing with rope holding it together or whatever, and you have this QTE button going on, which you then press. Kratos avoids the thing being throwed...

And it instead heads for Atreus, who was somewhat behind/behind-right to you, kinda like 5 metres away from you. Part of the rope from the construction thrown, which looks like a noose or some hole, has managed to fall around Atreus' neck, and so, whatever way the construction would fall, Atreus would follow due to the rope.

And time just stops for everything except Kratos, who just ignores the fight (which has also stopped with the timestop), and just goes to Atreus to remove the rope from his neck as well as other debris flying his way, until you hear him loudly think:

what have i done

as we realize that the time stop was just a thought by Kratos, realizing that his son died when he was hurled somewhere with the rope around his neck, and this was completely avoidable and that it's all his fault for dodging during that QTE.
Game goes to the Game Over screen.

am i cursed to have gaming related nightmares

Thank you for the new thread Mor!!!

Happy October everyone!!! 👻 🎃

The new releases do not stop. Definitely planning on Persona 5 Royal and Victoria 3 day one. There are several others in the OP that I am considering. This is probably the first batch of Sony games that, while I am interested, I am just not sure if I want to play them at those prices. I know I can find UC4 for a lot cheaper, but then I wish Sony gave us 1-3 first.

Outside of the games in the OP, there are several others I am keeping my eyes on...

Looks really interesting, curious how it reviews:

Recettear vibes:

More New Blood goodness, really liked the demo years ago:

DLC, but I am looking forward to more RE: Village

Thanks for the new thread Mor! :coffee-blob:

Lots of of big stuff releasing on Steam this month, but thankfully I'm "safe" from most of the big stuff. Had my fill of Persona 5 and Uncharted, and while Sackboy looks like fun I'm not in the market for that at 60 bucks.

Im probably down for the Winters Expansion for RE8 on Steam (right around Halloween, great timing), and maybe Asterigos on XSX. Scorn and Plague Tale Requiem are both coming to XGP so I'll just play them on there.

Also considering No More Heroes 3 on Steam, but waiting to see the pricing first - considering the disastrous regional pricing XSEED adopted for Rune Factory 5, it'll be interesting to see whether theyve learned any lessons from that launch.

Thanks for the thread Mor . Let's go, Persona month :blobyesanime:

So much about self-control. Star Ocean 6 looks sick! That trailer on the store page fills with mid-budget JRPG animations and bullshit dialogues. Love it.

Also we may need to talk about the music of Armed Fantastia. That Wild Arms vibe...!
Yeah honestly I can't believe that this game even exists, let alone waiting for it to come out! Those tracks are great, particularly the first one. I just adore Wild Arms (especially the original) and its music. The way Sony handled this series is an absolute crime. Seriously, just listen to some of this shit:

Alone in the world is one of the best starting town themes, ever! I played the game last year. A grand adventure but with a rough opening where Rudy getting expelled from the village for saving it. And seeing how the villagers indulged in greed further into the story... The writing in this game is excellent.

Yep, it's a really good track to kick off the game. So chill! It's pretty neat that you played it that recently. I need to play it sometime in the near future myself. I played it for the first time back in the day on the PS1, and then 5-6 years ago on the Vita. One thing I really love about the beginning of this game is how each of the opening segments are pretty different to each other, both in terms of gameplay and setting. I remember feeling blown away the first time I played it when all three protagonists meet and party up! This game (and honestly JRPGs in general) would be so so perfect on Deck™

Very good thread Mor some great games coming this month.

P5R for me most likely.
I played Triangle Strategy on the Switch (emulator) and it was good fun, but I think to get the most out of it you need to be willing to replay it at least once for story reasons, is all I'll say about that.

I'm curious about Gotham Knights, but worry that its going to be too much open-world/live game and not enough good ol Batman style game. Time will tell.

Still working through Xenoblade 3 though. 85+ hours and on the last chapter maybe?
