Pika has a LOT of support and many VTubers are undoubtedly in touch with her. It's cool she has people like KSON and Yura to hang with.

I do wonder what the production environment and pipeline is for these Hololive 3D showcases - It's fairly obvious that these are pre-recorded renders. But that begs the question of what style of mocap they're doing pre-editing/mocap cleanup - It's too detailed to be an Index + Vive Trackers setup (Or similar equivalent), but it feels like VR had to be part of it in some way. Possibly hybrid setup of tracker-dots on a stage + VR?

Rita and Sara from PRISM have a collab with ShuTube Ch, a Japanese seiyuu who has started VTuber streams.

Today I learned that the reason GirlDM went 2D despite building her brand initially as a high-quality 3D VTuber during a time when PNGtubers were a dime-a-dozen, is because Luppet (3D Vtuber-avatar app) was abandoned and left to rot by its developers, and was become increasingly more and more unstable as time went on.
So, out of curiosity then - What are the remaining indie 3D-ers using for their setup? Is there another app out there matching the (former) quality of Luppet, or are they putting up with the state the devs left it in? I know Fillian's setup is VRChat with a greenscreen map, but for obvious reasons that's not really practical for most use-cases.

I haven't had a look for a long while but i think a vast majority of them use VTube Studio, i keep seeing the distinct menu creeping into the screen when they change accessories.

Well, I'll be damned, it seems GirlDM has gone 3D again with a new model.
It looks like she's still using Luppet though, and is completely avoiding the advanced features of it that remain dysfunctional.
Which basically means that it might as well just be a Live2D with extra steps if there's going to be no hand tracking like the old 3D GirlDM.

The Pikamee collab was wholesome, Pika is loved.
If we ignore personal reasons, and let's say Pika still want to stream, which she expressed she wanted to for a while making it the career she is serious about for the first time, I feel like this will just be a hiatus, Pikamee will return, she has many incentives to pursue full indie like kson (before vshojo, and also yes I know voms is already indie in technical terms, and pika gets the full cut of her income), I would say the chance of this would've been lower if she didn't meet kson, but having her as a friend and possibly learning how these things work, getting advices make this chance much higher.
There're obviously other career paths like being a corpo vtuber, but I feel like she'd lose some freedom and have to deal with corpo management (and other people), being limited with the type of content she might want to create, but gain the benefits of not having to deal with hiring her own manager, etc, and can focus on streaming.
Pika has grown a lot over the years and she's strong, so I have strong belief that she can have a similar career path as kson, and continue to strive with whatever decision she'll make, whether it's indie or a corpo vtuber. She's been doing this for 3 years afterall and people want change and improvements, which staying in VOMS might not be able to provide her with. (no 3d for example)

My god Selen is back in the Apex grind (and the others as well of course).
They had a 7.5 hours practice stream yesterday (ended 10 hours ago at this point).... and 20 minutes ago they just started another practice stream.
Yeah, i said before i am hoping Pikamee will just go on an extended haitus, get her batteries recharged, go do stuff and then come back full of energy and passion. Got my fingers crossedc for that but if she doesn't then i'll still be happy for the times we had and wish her all the best for the future.
I hope that even if she doesn't stream anymore that she still keeps in touch with KSON, Yura and the others who are talking to her behind the scenes.

Go check out the Holo Channels for tons of streams though i think a lot of it will be paywalled there will still be a ton of stuff that's available to all and all of them seem to have chat and after-performance streams and waiting rooms.
