Starfield is getting official DLSS support, FOV slider, and other stuff:

First, an enormous thank you to all of you playing Starfield and your support. We are absolutely blown away by the response and all you love about the game. We’re also reading all your great feedback on what you’d like to see improved or added to the game. This is a game we’ll be supporting for years and years to come, so please keep all the feedback coming! Even if we don’t get to your requests immediately, we’d love to do it in the future, like city maps. Our priority initially is making sure any top blocker bugs or stability issues are addressed, and adding quality-of-life features that many are asking for.
This first update is a small hotfix targeted at the few top issues were are seeing. After that, expect a regular interval of updates that have top community requested features including:
  • Brightness and Contrast controls
  • HDR Calibration Menu
  • FOV Slider
  • Nvidia DLSS Support (PC)
  • 32:9 Ultrawide Monitor Support (PC)
  • Eat button for food!
We’re also working closely with Nvidia, AMD, and Intel on driver support, and each update will include new stability and performance improvements.
Additionally, we are working on our built-in mod support (Creations) that will work across all platforms similar to what we’ve done with Skyrim and Fallout 4. This full support is planned to launch early next year. Until then, we know our PC community is already very active in the modding space and if you have any feedback on how we can make this better, please let us know . Modding and creating in our games will always be a vital and important part of who we are, and we love seeing the community get off to such a strong start.
Keep the feedback coming, we really do read it all, and thank you all again for taking this journey with us!

Complicated feelings towards the upcoming Nintendo Direct and State of Play. I am excited for more new games but I am afraid my gaming time is too limited. Haven't been playing Starfield for the last three days because I was too occupied by other things irl. I still haven't beaten Tears of the Kingdom. And Baten Kaitos 1 + 2 is releasing today.

Being an adult is hard. :loudly-crying-face:

I await news of how bad the MK1 port is

First performance review seems te be positive. Tldr from Era:

  • PC has slight visual advantages thanks to better shadows and post-processing effects.
  • Framerate capped at 60fps on all platforms. Ingame cinematics, menus and special movements are framerate capped at 30fps.
  • Good PC performance. Without problems to achieve the 60fps in ultra in any graphic of the range 30/40.
  • High visual level and solidity on all platforms. No matter where you play it, all are a good choice.

Pleasantly surprised!

Story mode seems good as usual, watching Cohh now

Vanillaware continues to be the last bastion of "No PC for you"
Coming to XBox and not PC...

On another note, the new SaGa game is coming to Steam:
A new SaGa begins! SaGa Emerald Beyond is a brand-new RPG coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC via STEAM, iOS and Android in 2024!

Is Scarlet Grace sane Kawazu or batshit crazy mechanics Kawazu ?

The mechanics are more unusual/novel than average, but I don't think they are batshit crazy.

This is Objectively more attention than most publishers give, so it's kinda cool.
I still think that S-E needs to do far better with their PC ports (or rather, make sure that all reach a minimum level of quality, the ones on the top end of the spectrum are fine, but the bottom is way off), but honestly, seeing a dedicated PC space linking to their Steam sales and stuff purely for their Japanese audience PC from a traditional Japanese console publisher is nice to see.

It's the kind of thing that people would have laughed at you for predicting less than 10 years ago.
