curi0usBystander I remember when AMD did that years ago, i ended up going team green at my next upgrade. I think i had to run things with a registry edit and set registry keys and driver inf files to read-only to avoid having them reset to default broken values. Madness.

Bloody hell, that was in 2009 with my HD 4850? I remember i had a string of AMD HD cards over a few months ending with one of the top HD 5X series cards then AMD screwed the drivers. God, 10 years ago and i think the card is still going strong in my old Q6600 machine at a friends place.

I plan on upgrading in 2020. Rtx on laptops sadly hadnt delivered so while going for a gtx 1070 or 80 mobile would be enticing, i would only upgrade for better aa options thru nvidia software.

Whats the worst that can happen?
Keeping any software not up to date will leave you vulnerable to security flaws, one of the last NV updated had a bunch of holes closed. Also you're losing performance especially in newer games and they regularly fix bugs. I get not wanting to immediately update but going to the other extreme makes no sense at all when playing recent games.

I'm in the update 2-4 times a year camp. I generally just forget until something seems to not work perfectly I'll remember I should try that to fix it. In this case I just updated for Mortal Kombat 11. I was on something like 419 and now 430?

I keep all my tech and software thoroughly up to date. That's bit me in the ass before, but I don't like leaving myself out like some people want to.

I use my PC much like a console (as in just to play games) so I guess until i have an issue with a game I dont bother updating anything really. The security thing makes sense. Performance wise my machine is way over spec'd for my needs (1080p, 60fps) so I dont generally notice any issues.

I will however start to update a tad more often for the security.

I keep seeing that title and keep mistaking it for the card game Onirim, which I have both the physical version and on my phone and is a pretty fun time waster too.

Huh? I own the physical game (i bought it like, what? 10 years ago?) but I had no clue there was a digital edition! Thanks.
Next thing you're going to tell me is that there's a decent (and complete) dominion game on Steam...
Thanks, I'm watching it now. The title + description is encouraging. Perhaps Jimbo has finally come to his senses...

Edit: eh. I'm almost done and he's still ignoring all the pro-consumer and pro-developer stuff Valve has done or developed.

Edit2: oh man the outro. KevinSorboDisappointed.gif

Alright, that's Forgotton Anne done. Certainly had some frustrating/annoying moments, but certainly a really cool game.
One more game for 30 completed games!

Also, one thing I'm curious about: Is there some special meaning behind the word "forgotton"? Is this even a word? Or is it just a "stylized" "forgotten"?

It's not a bad video, actually. Focuses a tad wee much on the capitalism angle but I'll take it.
I dunno, I think Jim wheeling out the "Valve does nothing, Epic will force them to make games again" bullshit in the outro does completely undermine the rest of the video. It does come across as an endorsement of Epic's tactics, the very same tactics that he had just spent 15 minutes criticising.

True, but I can at least chalk that up to ignorance as opposed to indifference. It's an improvement over his attitude, I guess.

Re: Mortal Kombat 11 issues

Sad to know that PC is one version behind consoles, WB never learns I guess.

How hard is it really for a developer to implement native controller support in a game? I went to install INSOMNIA: The Ark this weekend and there was no controller support. It looks like I can make it use a controller via steam big picture mode but I was too lazy that day so I just gave up. Perhaps this week I will try the Steam method.

How do you fix the lag in your online focused game? just put a region lock so you can play with bots if you're not in one of the big regions:

428 still shows full-price for me. :minos_thonking:

And I want it bad.
If you add it to the cart it shows the real price.

God damnit I already redeemed mine from Fanatical 😅

Oh Christ do I even want to know...
I also got it from Fanatical. I considered waiting for Voidu because I preordered Kiwami from them for a ridiculous discount. The madmen have done it once again! Should've resisted the hype and waited for them. The 2 extra bucks I paid better go into porting Judgement asap :face-with-stuck-out-tongue-and-tightly-closed-eyes:

What the! Can't believe I've just noticed it now after you brought it up! I was very interested in the game long before it came out and kept checking it out quite often since then. Apparently I'm blind

Tizoc do you maybe have a list of games that are coming out in May (and are announced for steam) but don't have steam pages yet?
