There's a good chance I'll buy all of these.
With 4 of the 5 announced games having being listed, there's a chance that they could all be remakes/reboots/new games.I wonder if these are all remakes like that TGA trailer suggested. Cause a new Eternal Champions was not on my bingo card.
It is already delisted from Steam. Godus Wars is also delistedGodus will be removed from Steam
Is the game dependable of AWS?22cans would like to share important news regarding our games, Godus and Godus Wars. Regrettably, due to an upcoming technical change to Amazon Web Services, affecting our ability to serve necessary game files to new users, these titles are to be withdrawn from the Steam store. Please be assured that existing players can continue to enjoy these games without interruption.
We sincerely appreciate the incredible support from our players over the past decade and extend our heartfelt thanks to you all.
Shame, the game is my GOTY. I wonder how it did on consoles.
When I'm feeling nostalgic I fire up an emulator and relive all of those PS1 games from my childhood. Imagine kids nowadays whose gaming memories come from live service games, by the time they're 30 they probably won't be able to play all those dead online games, that must suckmeanwhile at ubi:

f.e. is more confortable to play on your 16 bits console with your download rom with everdrive than your original physical cartridge or with your cfw'd PS3 and HDD full of downloaded games than broken BDs that they needed a day one patch to run.
God bless pirates.
To be fair, I still think MP/Live Services games are good and Sony could have made a good one, but they do how ever have a big risk. Hearing Naughty Dogs explanation, I don't blame them for their choice, it sounded like if they were going to make a live service game, that they wanted to go all out (putting all your eggs in one basket), in which case it is better for them to stick to only doing SIngleplayer games. Other studios are able to make singleplayer games while also maintaining a live service games, so it is possible, but there is no guarantee that the game will ever take off.Last Of Us Online Multiplayer Spin-Off For PS5 Is Dead (kotaku.com)
Seeing MP/live service continue to crumble has made this year so goddamn good on its own before counting any of the releases this year. Sony could have saved so much money if they listened to me. I remember the ps3 days, I saw how the MP push back then went for them. I also know that running into a brick wall hurts and to not keep repeating it unlike most companies. They wasted millions and years of work that they didn't have to waste.
This seems to be why they bought Bungie, but that hasn't been going well.Sony goes hard in on 3rd-person Cinematic Single Player games because they are shit at everything else, ESPECIALLY Multiplayer games.
Change my mind.
I truly don't think it's possible to have a huge success in live service anymore unless you are so extremely lucky you somehow create the next big sub genre which the odds of that happening are so low you may as well pray you start winning the powerball jackpot. Everyone who is into that junk is cemented in established games that are up to a decade old at this point. And sony has never been good at multiplayer in general (thankfully) so they're absolutely not going to be the ones who stumble into the next big thing. To be fair, I still think MP/Live Services games are good and Sony could have made a good one, but they do how ever have a big risk. It sounds like the only way to make a big in the live service market it too be their very very early or to be the one that starts the thing. A lot of companies that have failed is because they are chasing already existing formulas that exist and that have proven to work. The issue is how do you differentiate yourself from others,
Should Sony try to make a bunch of live service games? especially attached to already existing studios? I don't think that's a good idea, even though this is also a bad idea, it might be better to just have 1 new studio who's goal is to make a unique live service game and go from there, worst case scenario, the studio closes down having not even released one game at all, best case scenario they make a hit game and keep on working on that one game.
I still think that Konami years ago did a huge fumble. they should not have made Metal Gear Survive at all and rather just focused on Metal Gear Online 3. The shell of that game was AMAZING. but sadly it was never really expanded more on and it was just left to die after they only did one DLC for that game mode. Gamers were truly roped of something great back then.
Had Metal Gear Survive been a part of MGS 5 and was a lot easier, then maybe it could have done well.
RIP MGS
Yep but this problem is the same for the people who bought disc versionunfortunately none of this applied to live service games
The Crew will essentially be a digital brick come April
They will have a brick on their shelves xD
I don't entirely agree, but am also not really disagreeing.I truly don't think it's possible to have a huge success in live service anymore unless you are so extremely lucky you somehow create the next big sub genre which the odds of that happening are so low you may as well pray you start winning the powerball jackpot. Even when they bought bungie to me that just reinforced that they have no idea what they're doing. They vastly overpaid for a studio that was successful despite their best efforts to destroy themselves for years. Destiny is one of the most poorly managed "successful" games I've ever seen and I knew at some point things had to blow up on them like it currently seems to. I'm just shocked the player base put up with bungie's BS for so long.
If its on sale now it wont be on the winter sale since there is a 30 days cooldown.Hmh, Dave the diver and Dredge both on sale AND now in a pack for even more sale.... I know I should wait for winter sale but I am so tempted!
Usually that’s the case, but sometimes I’ve seen sales go on for the whole winter sale even when they were on sale before .If its on sale now it wont be on the winter sale since there is a 30 days cooldown.
And Ninty already took it down. It's still up on archive.org, for anyone interested: Links Awakening DX HD V 1.0.0 : linksawakeningdxhd : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet ArchiveLink's Awakening DX HD by linksawakeningdxhd

This is incredible.
Would it be that crazy, though? The Steam Deck footprint at that store seems to be even much bigger than the Xbox footprint!!!!!!! that would be crazy if true.
I get this and understand why they did it. When I used to play back in the day it was the most annoying thing to be queued against a 5 stack that had great mmr players in the group smurfing, whilst I was a pleb.
Welcome back!Game company cancels game and throws money & years of hard work down the drain.

That world-map with the 2D flat sprites look terrible. Feels like the Switch was their target platform here.
More like the DS if you compare to something like Dragon Quest XI's overworld areas on Switch. That world-map with the 2D flat sprites look terrible. Feels like the Switch was their target platform here.
It's also coming to smartphones, like every SaGa game does. ;^pThat world-map with the 2D flat sprites look terrible. Feels like the Switch was their target platform here.
This does remind me that I need to play the early SaGa games on Steam.
I guess they must target low-end phones from over a decade ago then. I assume every higher-tier phone these days is at least on the level of Switch (if it's rendering to 720p targets), if not far above it.It's also coming to smartphones, like every SaGa game does. ;^p
Unironically this. I mean ND themselves said the path they were facing was becoming a live service studio if they kept going on this. Look at what anthem did to bioware they STILL haven't recovered from that. Look at what's going on with rocksteady, 9 years spent on a live service game that seems destined for failure.Game company cancels game and throws money & years of hard work down the drain.

Someone made a Git repo out of it, it seems: Release v1.0.0b · Phantop/LADXHDI forgot to download it. Where can I find it now?
