Hard disagree for now at least. BSky is just another bubble for a different side atm. And I am so done with viewpoint bubbles.

That and the algorithm is garbage right now, with so much less ability to influence it compared to X. I gave up on B.Sky after a couple days because no matter how i tried to shape my interests it just does not seem to stick.

No one is saying twitter isn’t functionally good, just that morally questionable to stay there, in that way anything is better than twitter.

I basically didn't stop working on personal project (that I am not ready to reveal yet XD) and I am exasusted. And this is just physical work, I worked on this project for past few weeks and barley played anything. But I think that phase 1 is completed, that was the hardest one.

RGB is ugly and should stop being put on PC parts PC

It looks awful! It's annoying! I am trying to game and I have a New Year's Eve fireworks display in my face. Stop putting tempered glass on cases too. A PC should be like children, neither seen nor heard. Yes I got software to turn it all off, that isn't the point.

I am playing Black Ops 6 campaign via gamepass and, stupid launcher infrastructure aside, this is really great?
Like every mission is different, one is standard CoD shooting gallery, then stealthy spy action, then open world, then survival horror, then heist movie...super variable with great production values. It is made by Raven Software of the Jedi Outcast fame and it is heartening to me that 20 years later these guys, even relegated to CoD salt mines are still producing great work (their Cold War was also great).

But it's not? There's, like, 20 studios being credited for the game, it stands to a reason each one did one SP mission only.

We're much more likely to see Nintendo games on Steam than Raven making a non CoD game.

Red Dead Redemption 2:

Two Questions: Time Sensitive Things and the Challenges for Missions (spoilers?)

First actual playthrough of SP and I do care about spoilers except if its about time sensitive stuff.

1) So is there any quest, mission, side story or anything where I need to do ASAP? Don't need to be vague about this, just let me know when it starts and what to do.

Second Question

2) The challenges, where it is like Don't take any health items and you get a silver, bronze or gold award depending on it - If you got say 3/4 checked, when you revisit them do you only need get the one you missed or you need to complete all check marks again?

I think RGB looks nice when I have a specific color theme I'm going for with my other stuff, and I don't want to buy a whole new setup to change the theming to look nice with my other stuff.
As long as it's not Corsair, where they have ugly notched corners and silver brushed metal accents, which I think is ugly.

I think ASUS, Alienware, Lian Li, Keychron, and Razer have the nicest looking RGB devices of the bunch. Black colored devices, desk, and furniture usually universally go good with anything.

I also don't understand why people are against RGB parts. They are amazing. It signals very effectively to others that you have no taste and they should disregard all your opinions on aesthetics and appearance of anything. I kinda wish RGB was more of a thing outside of this niche too. I need more ways for people to self-identify as having bad taste.

The thing that does really annoy me is that for some categories of parts, you now basically have to pay extra not to get RGB. And it's not a matter of "just turn it off" either, as sometimes that's not possible, and sometimes it is possible but requires installing software from some HW manufacturer that somehow needs 4 processes (of which 3 are browsers), 2 kernel mode services, and a ring 0 driver -- and I'm not going to do that to my PC.

Been replaying it on PS5 and also redownloaded it on Steam Deck. Fantastic stuff as usual. This reminds me of the older interview I did with you where you mentioned working on a PS5 game. I kept hoping it was a double pack for the Crossbell games using your PC/Switch version but for PS5. Hope that still happens at some point. :blobeyes:

On RGB, I liked it when i was younger. Now I don't really care so much cuz the PC goes under the desk or behind the TV anyway. Like my current GPU doesn't have any RGB and I don't mind it. My RAM drives me nuts, cuz i put the PC into sleep mode overnight and the RAM stays on of course including the bright ass LED Strips in the cooling fins and they cycle through the RGB and light up my room while i'm trying to sleep lol. So i'm thinking for my next PC build if I can find some less flashy, but still good performance RAM.

Looking at their own guide this doesn't seem like it takes a massive amount of money to run my own data server.

yes, but that's just for a single person really, AND on top of that - PDS is just one piece of the network, they still hold the only keys to the federation part, where it syncs your server the the rest of the network, it has to "call home" - hence the "cosplaying" i mentioned

Is this argument that because it COULD be enshittified, we shouldn't use it? That basically means we can't use the entire web (most of it is enshitted already though) or this forum because it could be shitty later. I'll pass on that rationale.

There aren't great social media options anywhere. Lots of people I enjoyed on the old Twitter are in bluesky now and the vibe there has been pretty good. I'm sure it will suck eventually that's the path of all Internet things. But no reason to just opt out of it because it could be bad later. Unless you just want to get off social media completely which is probably more healthy overall, lol.
