Ah, so the choice is between Shitter which is a nazi infested shithole, Bluesky which isn't but you say it maywill turn into one in an unspecified future and Mastodon which nobody but bots uses...
Decisions, decisions....

Listen, I used it for a few months back when Melon bought Twatter.
When I started 20% of my timeline was your bot reposts of various internet articles.
When I gave up on it, 60-70% of my timeline was your bot.
I'm sure there's people using the platform, bully to them for that.
What I saw was something completely different though. :(

I do agree that Mastodon is really the only long-term solution.

I also doubt it will actually happen. The world wide web was basically Mastodon at some point (i.e. very decentralized, with no controlling power structure), and companies (with the help of people who don't care) turned it into what it is today (i.e. basically 95% of the traffic in 10 massive platforms controlled by 4 companies).

What really annoys me is that any politician/party/official thing whatsoever in the EU still uses Twitter, or Facebook, or anything else that's controlled by a large corporation. The EU has ec.social-network.europa.eu, but they aren't pushing it remotely hard enough.

Overwatch 2 will have an Overwatch Classic mode, with 6v6, just the original heroes, original mechnanics... looking forward to trying this (well, not so much trying, more like "returning"). I liked Overwatch and played it a lot, but I never warmed to 5v5 or the other changes they introduced with Ovw2 (and still find it unacceptable they removed the original game which people paid for). This is time-limited for now (Nov 12–Dec 2), but if people like it, they might bring it back, they said - and I hope they do/keep it.

there's also a Steam Cooking Fest :)

"Last year, we released a smoky translucent limited edition Steam Deck OLED as an experiment to find out if there was interest in alternative colourways (there was!). This is our second experiment along those lines," Valve explained, sharing a look at the upcoming Steam Deck.

"The difference this time (aside from the colour!) is that we're able to ship the Limited Edition White to all regions where Steam Deck already ships," the company continued. "We're curious to see what the response is, and will use what we learn to inform future decisions about any potential new colour variants down the line."

Basically you have to do your own algorithm. The question is , do you care enough to do that? I’d wager most people don’t.

I'm generally happy enough with Bsky. The artists I follow are there — most of them, anyway. I even engage/post stuff that I like almost every day, while on Twitter I mostly just lurked.

At least on Bsky the algorithm for the topics that interests me has worked roughly the same way with Twitter in the old days, with considerably less effort.

Indiana Jones is shaping up to be my favorite game in a long time. They coming immersive sim elements with treasure hunting and IP i love so what is there not to like :D. Cherry on top would be involvement of Arkane to help with level design (their influence on level design in Youngblood was rare positive thing for that game).

This is the most interested I've been in Overwatch after years.
Overwatch 1.0 is extremely fun as a casual shooter.

OW 1.0 will be interesting. I never played the original, I first got the game for free (came with a prebuilt PC I installed) around the time Brigitte came out, which is right when a lot of people starting hating on the game because of GOATS. I had my fill of fun, but I really did not enjoy what OW2 did to the game. I unistalled like IDK a year ago or more and have not felt like reinstalling. I'm sure if I check out OW 1.0 it will be weird as fuck.

I loved overwatch in launch year but the current one is just not fun. Same for Hearthstone. Loved how it was for the first few years but dropped it and barely care now.

Skibbidi Toilet 2 sat ready to sue
Catching up to more reviews I had pending on Steam Deck: Red Dead Redemption, Mouthwashing, AC Mirage, Killing Time, Neva, and more in my second Steam Deck-focused newsletter on the TouchArcade Patreon. (publicly viewable). Yes, I did order a new bottle of Listerine for the photo since the one I had was half full lol.

There's a complementary interview from Automation about the white Steam Deck's announcement:

Not a ton of new info, but they hint at future hardware again, talk about how some games are more popular on Deck (UFO 50, Kingdom Hearts etc) and are aware of anti-cheat woes.

Thanks!

You should've matched the Listerine bottle with Asscred instead, so that you can immediately wash away the horrid taste of Ubislop. :flare_bath:

This one was short at least. Also I love being able to sync my save and pickup. I started a new one to test but got my main save over as well.

This is not how I expected to see Gabe having relationship with something in my country :thinking-face:

"There's a really high affinity for the broad set of IP across the region. And sales in Asia of Sega games, particularly thanks to the Steam platform, are really growing."

He takes the example of the launch of Metaphor: ReFantazio in early October: the title sold well in Japan, but it also performed extremely positively across the entire Asian continent, he tells us.

I read that as J Lo at first and was weirded out for a second.

But it's not? There's, like, 20 studios being credited for the game, it stands to a reason each one did one SP mission only.
I read that Treyarch was responsible for MP and Raven for SP, on both BLOPS6 and Cold War. And frankly, they feel like Raven games.

Your mention of immersive sim elements peaked my curiosity, which was zero for this game, and I went to take a look at the gameplay. I guess you must have seen a completely different video because all I saw was a heavily scripted and on-rails game where the player seemingly has almost zero agency.
To each their own I guess, happy you liked it and that you're excited for it. I'll keep it in my don't care pile for the time being.

I would suspect future hardware refers here to their VR headset. I suspect a Steam Deck 2 exists at the moment only on paper, with some future AMD chip in mind that does not exist yet.

Many levels you visit are open and you are free to approach it however you want. Also almost anything is weapon too. There are of course scripted sections but game has a lot of freedom. For example Giza map is basically mini open world map that you are free to explore and find your path to the goals.

Going to grab this at some point. Just a shame it doesn't contain the 2 best versions of Tetris. Tetris Effect and the Gameboy version. I dread to think how many hours I put into the Gameboy version and for a long time was the only game I ever had or needed for it.

It does however have a "1989 mode" ;)

I figured I'd add up to that: within the games included in Tetris Forever, there is a new game called Tetris Time Warp. And within this, you can access the 1989 marathon, which is basically the GameBoy version. I uploaded a short clip here:

ignore my shoddy play ;)
