New Interview from the MICA leader himself.
I can't read too much of it cuz Chinese. But I've heard it's quite down to earth and almost depressing. Talks about lukewarm reception, difficulties faced, working until 4AM some days, etc...

Great interview. YZ discussed their hardship during the early days of GFL2 a lot. One thing to note, he said they made some hard stages early on but most of the players don't play them, so they nerfed/cut them out. With the opening of global server, more XCOM players should be playing the game (XCOM is very niche in Asia) so I hope that they will change their mind.

Ha! So both servers are on steam. Darkwinter is Sunborn.
Small correction, weapon and characters are only in the same pool for the standard banner. Limited banners will have them separate.
Nice. I guess I'll see everyone on Steam then and some of you on the MOST official server.
Sunborn/MICA Team is the developer (kind of used interchangeably, I guess?). Darkwinter is the publishing arm of Sunborn.
With Mica/Darkwinter also releasing on Steam, my only worry is if they add some sort of region lock (like for payments) to the pc version outside of Steam too, not necessarily at launch. I want to use my good ol' Sunborn account that I used for my whole GFL and NC run, but I also don't want to suddenly be cutoff from one version just because of my region, especially if it were to happen a year later
So as a European can you also see this self published version on Steam? If you can, what reason would you (or anyone) have to play the Haoplay version?
EDIT: Soon as I pose that question I realize that some might need the EFIGS localization.
Nope, I only see the Haoplay version. But I presume I can just use the self-published non-Steam version, since I already have a Sunborn account anyway from GFL1 and Neural Cloud (even if I haven't played them much).

The Isomers are really interesting conceptually and I also find it really fascinating what they did with the "connection" stuff - the fog and such.
Good developments for M4A1 and the AR and 404 Squads. Curious to see how OGAS getting a body turns out. The whole Relic/Pike stuff has me very curious about more of the world lore.
