The difference for me in knowing something at 3am and 8am is basically nil. Technically the news would have got to me faster at 8 in terms of hours I'm actually conscious beforehand.
Really looking forward to the Tekken 8 DLC reveal at the game awards. The player numbers have been bleeding pretty bad according to daily CCUs which makes me think Bamco really want to announce a popular guest character to make the front page news to lure casual players back in. The numbers look especially bad when comparing it to Street Fighter 6 which has 26'000 daily at its peak to the measly 6'000 from Tekken 8.
Apparently a leaker from 4chan who predicted the other 3 dlc characters correctly, posted that it will be Ichiban from the new Yakuza games. I think he would fit the Tekken universe pretty well considering he is bat shit crazy and really silly.
And as always people are still hoping for Tifa which I don't think will happen. But then again it would make kinda sense since Rebirths' PC release should be imminent.
I'm kinda hoping that it will be a completely out of left field character like Negan from Tekken 7. Imagine it being Paul Atreides from Dune or Wolverine. That would be fucking nuts.

Speaking of Half-Life, Half-Life 2 in VR is pretty fun. The retaking City 17 segment in the back third is especially thrilling in VR. A combine soldier charged one of my citizen helpers to point blank him with a shotty. The citizen was body blocking the soldier from my line of sight, so I snaked my shotgun over his shoulder and blasted the combine in the face. VR let's you do cool and funny things sometimes. Unfortunately, my pal is now death. But I'm sure they lived a rich 5 minute life in peaceful silence before a strider smoked them.
