Have a pleasant 2025 everyone!

Year changes in about 1 hours and 20 minutes over here, still debating with myself if I'm going to go out or not. Weather's decent so I might go and see whatever money us and the neighboring swedes are shooting to the sky.

The hair.
I think most AAAAAAA games are still rolling with classic card hair.
I'd be kind of curious to know what kind of load strand hair brings in comparison, is it mostly a CPU or GPU load for example. I would have assumed that it's a GPU thing given that both Nvidia and AMD had their own hair tech, but I suppose I don't actually know.

Before this thread gets closed (I'll likely post this on the new one as well. Looking at the Steam Awards, Wukong won. Which is not a surprise. However what it messed up is how people are not acknowledging that part of it has to do with China. Had the game just one GOTY that would have been one thing but rather it won in every category that it was nominated in? It was the only one that won more than one award.

What is messed up is that people are being called racist because of this. Didn't people try to review bomb games and stuff? Point being that China is a huge market where games still sell and therefore you also have a lot of people voting there specifically for this.

That's about it.

I think the Steam Awards are just a popularity award. Wukong was absolutely huge with Chinese players, so of course it wins at every award it was nominated for. I guess the story rich makes sense if you count Journey to the West as being its "story". Never read it, but from what I understand it's one of the big classic novels, like a play from Shakespeare is in the West.
