I discovered a life hack.
Revisit the old steam thread 2 years ago, say 2022 Dec thread, and you will pleasantly discover that the games announced back then should have been released. Better, games which were released in 2022 should have nice discounts in the winter sale.
Icing on the cake, you can also re-read your old posts and say to yourself "geez, I was so innocent and naive."

Not something many will care about right now, but I also realized with the Trails 1st announcement, the physical release is Amazon only in USA. Not only will the PC release be a step back (we don't know who is working on it but there's no universe where another dev can match a PH3 release IMO), but console versions won't be in normal retail stores and CE is LRG-only. Glad to see a worldwide multiplat simul Falcom release, but this feels like a step back in some fronts already.

My damage report for the sale.
Path of Exile 2 likes to hard lock my PC in between zone transitions. It looks like it's related to the newest Windows 11 update so that's cool.
Well it's sold a million copies and Vanillaware lives another day, but they are leaving money on the table. UO is a top notch game and one of my favorites of the year, but I wouldn't condemn any PC gamer who emulates it because piracy is a service problem etc etc.

State of Decay 2 is like under 2$ for me..is this right? 90% off.
Yeah that insanely good price! I highly enjoyed that game and it has more stuff in it now than ever.
SoD2 is the best zombie game on the market that isn't titled Project Zomboid (and CDDA if you want to get technical).
GD that game is so good. And the amount of free new content they've poured into it over the years has been amazing.

Yeah cant wait. I even bought SoD 2 again to play on the deck, after playing it to death years ago.
Think next year when I upgrade my rig I'm just going to go prebuilt but minus the GPU lol, I'd need new everything anyway and I can't be bothered. I'd like a new case and a better cooling system too.

Luma Island released the soundtrack for their game, not sure why it's free, but sweet either way! Haven't played it yet, going to be my travel game this Christmas.

£12 is fair enough and i also picked up State of Decay 2 for £2.50 so even if i don't get along with it in SP it's not a big outlay ha.
Might archive off my Starfield modlist and save for the moment and give this a whirl over Christmas.

Just finished the main story of RDR2
Such a good game, gave me some real feels. Characters were great.
Must be the best looking game I've played to date.
I know GTA6 is coming soon and will probably be amazing but honestly I'm hoping for a RDR3 sometime before I hit old age. I'm 45 now, will I be playing it in my 50's?

It is one of the rare games that made me have really strong emotional response. This scene is still for me one of the best scene in gaming and on pair with many scenes from movies and it is entirely skippable
R* really knocked it out of park with character writing in in RDR2. Every single camp member was amazing.
On the bright side i did a bit worse than last year

that seems like it would be too expensive, we'll come up with something custom ourselves and call it the Warhammer mod... executable! Since we don't like launchers!

I played a lot of EDF.
Also, 31% playtime on Steam Deck -- but that is almost certainly more than 50% of my singleplayer playtime, because both online and local coop (whic, together, is a lot) is 100% not on the Deck.

Man even DLC is too expensive for my taste. I was like oh man its been years since Grim Dawn is done, check DLC. Yeah okay guess I am waiting another half decade.

Durante I'll most likely play Cold Steel 4 on my Deck through the next year, what would be your recommended settings for 45 Hz and (most preferably) power draw below 10W?
I currently have the portable setting scheme with aniso and MSAA x2 turned on, anything else you think I should change? MSAA x4 might be too much for Deck, right?

Finished Indiana Jones, fantastic game! It was definitely the right choice to not make an uncharted like game.
