Great OP, lashman !

Just way to many interesting games coming out already. Will focus on Trails and Avowed, but need to catch up on Yakuza series. Though I am doing my part on that one with Yakuza; LAD.

Thanks lashman for the new thread!
Refunded Spidey 2, broken game

Sony fucking sucks
It's honestly baffling that Sony releases its games in such a state. I would understand it more (although I certainly wouldn't justify it) if the release came after a big marketing campaign that they couldn't reschedule without losing tons of money. These ports are usually released with a couple of tweets and blog posts. Give the developers time to port the games properly and only announce a release date once you know you can hit it with a polished product.

They act like a petulant child having to do something they don't want to do and throwing a fit.

Being "forced" to release titles on PC because of their big bad shareholders

New month, new games to buy that I won't play for ages.
This is precisely why I decided to not buy anything this year. I got gifted a year of humble choice so I'm still gonna grow my backlog but I can at least attempt to chip away at it.

Thanks for the new thread lashman

Very expensive month for me, Avowed, Kingdom come 2 and monster hunter wilds. Hoping that Obsidian have cooked with Avowed, it might be my most wanted game of 2025.

New month, new thread. Thanks lashman

Civ and Trails for me probably though I really like the idea of Pirate Yakuza. I already know the Suikoden remasters are coming early March too. Lots of great stuff coming soon.

Tried FlyKnight, it's okay, it was fun last night, I finished the 1st area beating the boss and it was engaging but ultimately it may be quite a simple game, unless it starts introducing more elements as I go (as it's not even posed as early access to expect additions later). It's Souls Lite, combat is not complex despite the limb stuff as there are no character stats that I can see, just gear stats and there is little potential for tactics and things, it's more King's Field in feel than Souls though it does have a useful parry at least. The area I finished was small and linear too, I'm not sure if it opens up, the 2nd area seems big at first glance, it's some kind of swamp with also treetop paths, I'll see by the end of it I guess. Also death seems to have 0 penalty outside perhaps using up arrows (which are plentiful), you don't gain anything from enemies to lose, all gear stays intact and checkpoint bonfires (yeah, again...) are frequent. Fun game but not sure if it's so special after all. Love the visuals though (not using dithering and low res pixelization myself, just a clean charming look, liking the low fps animations too). No regrets, yet.

Too much stuff coming out this month. Gonna limit myself to KCD 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds. I'll get Pirate Yakuza and Civ 7 for cheap at some point.

I still don't understand what Bohemian means
Bohemia is the historical name for the Czech part of Czech Republic (there are also Moravian and Silesian parts). Word comes from Boii which was a celtic tribe that fought with romans and settled there before Slavs (Czechs) arrived.
Of course, the French then took the word and used it for gypsies in France because they thought they arrived from Bohemia (and some of them likely did, although their origin was India, so really they should have called them Indians, not Bohemians).

So, it seems like there was some major breakthrough with ArchiveXL after Cyberpunk 2.21, and now mods are starting to roll-out that allow NON-REPLACING custom-assets for Character-Creation, like Hair, Hair-Colors, Eyes, Tattoos, etc.

Might be entering a true golden-age of modding for Cyberpunk.

Great to hear! Glad i gave the game a break for a bit. When i come back there will be more mods to enjoy!

Skyrim is similarly enjoying a second golden age of modding. The Community Shaders team has figured out DLSS/Frame-gen injection, real time global illumination and cloud shadows, PBR Rendering and textures, and they're working very quickly on Terrain Parallax Blending and trying to figure out the drawcall issues Skyrim has always had (Which will pretty much eliminate stutters related to asset loading.)

Not to mention complete combat overhauls have come so far. You can literally turn Skyrim combat into Elden Ring, DMC or NieR, the choice is yours.
