New all time high for both Steam and players in game. It could possibly hit 41 million CCU tomorrow.

Lmao. I knew it. And yeah, I don't hold silly grudges. They've been having really deep discounts lately, so in the last couple months I've purchased more Ubisoft games than I have in the past decade.
I hold grudges, but I've also gave Ubisoft nearly $150 since they came back to Steam.

I feel like I'm just tapped out with to many games to play and to many new one that I might not get anything from the sale.
I feel like I can't even keep up with stuff coming out right now to the point where even stuff I wanted to jump on day 1 is relegated to "I want to get to this eventually but it'll probably be months"

if I had to guess I probably won't get to Daybreak 2 until at least May for example and that's already been out for a month, and it feels really unlikely i'll get to Expedition 33 before like July

doesn't help that i'm rarely in the mood to play games these days for a variety of reasons so i'm even slower than usual about this stuff, the math just doesn't work when you want to play a bunch of long games and are only getting a handful of hours a week in

IT IS DONE

First time ever actually completing all those battles to get the color intro. The key is not counting but looking at Level + XP. Should be around level 11 & 700 something XP like I was here. The exact value depends on if you hit a couple optional fights before the cliff.

Now to actually play the game , lmao.

Ubisoft is irrelevant to mew really.
The last FarCry game I enjoyed was Primal, and the last decent AC game was Origins.
Origins was already way too bloated and repetitive for me. I gave up after 40 hours and decided to ignore Ubisofts open world games until they drastically change game design. So far there's no indication for this.
I'm willing to let bygones be bygones with Ubisoft. They seem to be going out of their way to treat Steam users right and I appreciate that.
It only took them the last straw of desperation to stay afloat to do so. Ubisoft won't see any appreciation for me after so many years of greed and bad decisions.

The new SteamDeck update 3.7 that is available in preview is pretty great. KDE (Desktop) has finally been updated to something that is not that old. Linux kernel and mesa have been updated bringing in some new stuff. Best of all for those of us still rocking the LCD deck, wakeup from Bluetooth is now supported. Almost giving that console like experience.

And:

Beginnings of support for non-Steam Deck handhelds

I just randomly read that Pacific Drive has the DS5 (PS5 controller) haptics and such feature support, I actually have never used this controller on PC.

Do I need it to be wired for the "features" to be working?
Do I need to turn off steam input?
Do I get PS icons?
Please let me know.

PSA: For anyone who dropped Girls' Frontline 2 before or is interested to start playing the game, the BEST unit so far (in terms of damage output) is coming to global this week. There isn't a better time to jump in.

See you in the OT!

CONGRATS!!!
Actually the key was to look at the potch amount since you get 250 per battle and 108 battles should be 27k. I tried to do this on the side on my Steam Deck while doing something else but I eventually mess up and hit the wrong option.

Yes, most DualSense features only work with a wired connection. It is preferable to turn off Steam Input if the game natively supports the controller. PS icons depend on the game but most games don't have them.

Some can work with a wireless connection, I think but those are very rare. So you typically need to use a wired connection.

Pacific Drive. The trigger feature works wirelessly while the rumble needs wired.

I loved this on iPad. Will definitely grab it here also to support. I interviewed the dev back in 2023 where I asked about a Steam and Switch port if you wanna read about their inspirations etc.
Excellent coverage.
I'm completely blind to mobile gaming, seems they have done a lot of innovations too.

Definitely gonna try the Atelier Yumia demo. Haven't played an Atelier in a very long time but this one is really appealing to me.

Two things for which I will gladly shit on Steam from a very big height.

- Cookies, what are they for ? At this point I think the Steam website suffers from Alzheimer, no other explanation.
Always, always forgetting me, and having to ID. And God forbid I try to ID on a tablet because I will have to launch and confirm myself the Steam app on the same tablet. Is this a skit ?
It doesn't even seem to work that way on desktop where I was just forgotten on the site and had to use the mobile app to ID.

There is no consistency, the only constant is forgetting and making ID annoying.

- Discounts. The recent-ish new way of displaying discounts. Is there a more obvious anti-consumer way of doing it than hiding the discount percentage ? You want to know the discount, calculate it yourself !

I enjoyed it a lot despite the combat being boring (especially if you engage with synthesis often). Just nice to play an open world game that's this relaxing tbh.
