I think I (more or less) got it.
You earn achievements, or redeem achievements to earn those white points. You then boost, which essentially converts those white points into tokens.
The red points number is, apparently, the number of tokens you can still generate on a certain day. As you boost, this amount will decrease.

But, you have a limited number of boosts you can do per day (I don't know why the limit is different to everyone).
And the maximum amount you can do for each boost is 1000 white points (meaning, you convert a maximum of 1000 white points into tokens per boost).

So, ideally, you won't waste a booster until you have more than 1000 white points, otherwise you are not converting the maximum amount of tokens possible.

I just got almost 30000 points from a game I have all but one achievements (Sleepaway Camp). :)
Indeed, in order to appear in the recently played games, you need to play the game for 30 minutes.

---

Is there an easy way that I can check the games that I have 100% achievements?
Yeah, I think I'm getting the gist of it too. The random number of boosts is bullshit though.

Anyway, for recent games you can see it here. I wonder if there's a place to see it all.

So, has anybody used SAM yet?

If I idle for 30+ minutes, I still need at least one Achievement in each game, right?

Also, when the "game" resets, should I get about the same boost count tomorrow?

Does that Steam profile section for achievements tell you?
No. :(

It tells me the number of perfect games I have, but not which ones.
I remember one (The Darkness II), but I don't remember the rest.

Corgi is love, Corgi is life

Also, I have no real idea how that system calcuates the points I ought to have or how often I can boost. Well, it wouldn't be a Steam sale without an overly intricate and complex minigame.

You idle 30 minutes for the game to appear in the "games recently played" list.
But, all that does is allow you to convert the achievements you already obtained into points, to then convert to tokens. Just idling doesn't get you anything.

So, you need to play a game for 30 minutes that you already have plenty of achievements unlocked (I believe it values more the percentage of achievements obtained, not the number; so, it should be a game where you got most achievements, not just many; I have a game that I have 244 achievements unlocked, but it's out of 3000 achievements, so it got me a very small number of points), in order for the game to appear on the recently played games, and then you can obtain points, to boost, and covert to tokens.

I just manually booted a game and idled it without playing for around 30 minutes.

It appeared in my mini-game page and let me cash in the points without getting any new achievements. It appears that you can’t cash in the points without capacity though? Dunno if that’s a misunderstanding on my part though.
Doesnt work for me. At least not in the program, let me try the website.
like I said, make sure you don’t have any filters active on your list

Okay, I'll try that then.

Also, there's a few "suggested games" that have achievements by themselves, and they are good to leave idle.

One of the games I got was Two Point Hospital, and for each patient cured it gave me 10 points (and 20 per ghost captured, or machine upgraded), so if I speed up the game, I easily got 3000 points in a few minutes.

This makes To the Moon the most valuable game in Steam's catalog, as it has one lone achievement for finishing the game, which takes no more than 3 hours.

I think I read somewhere on the website that it values "rarity".
So, if it's an achievement that many people got, I'm not sure if it earns you a lot of points.

Like I said, Sleepaway Camp got me a ridiculous amount of points (28000+), which is a game I got 49 of 50 achievements.
If anyone has it, and unlocked a decent number of achievements, try that one.

In 15 minutes I'm trying The Darkness II, which is one of my "perfect games", and I'll post the number of points I received.

Got kicked out of my team and in the cart the fake tokens aren't showing up anymore. Maybe Valve's fixing stuff?

There are quite a few like that, even free.

Just remembered the RE2 demo which gave chivs every few minutes while standing around.

Same here.
I just came to ask if anyone else was experiencing any problems?

If I check the event page, it tells me I need to join a team before I can earn points.
It's tuesday, so they are probably doing some maintenance.

It's probably related to this: Badges · Steam Grand Prix 2019.

Someone found an exploit to get shit ton of xp basically.

Things are back to normal here.

And, I now have almost 43000 tokens, without a single game purchased. :)
Without any cheats, just opening a game for which I have achievements unlocked for 30 minutes, and then claim the points.

Something i want to note, and i think people didn't understand yet. The points you get from achievements are just the fuel (white points) for the important ones, the red ones (that you get from purchases), so getting 93408390 achievements mean nothing if you don't have red points to convert to tokens:

So buy things, get red points from it, iddle games with achievements 30 minutes, trade them for white points, and then trade both for tokens.

Ah. I have a huge number of red points (apparently from recent purchases? I certainly didn't purchase anything today), that's why I've been claiming so many €.
I mean, I'm now at almost 5 X 5€ tokens!
Without nothing purchased today.

I just "played" The Darkness II, a game I previously unlocked all achievements, and I got 30000+ white points from it!

It's actually really easy once you understand. The red points from the image above is the number of tokens you can trade.

And the "Boosts Remaining" is the number of 1000 tokens trade you can get in total. Like, if you have 12 boosts remaining you will see 12.000 red points.

Oh you think that's bad? I just played some Two Points Hospital and got some of the quests but I can't claim anything because my capacity is fucking negative 9000.

I'm assuming this is related to that refund glitch from a few weeks ago. Guess I'm locked out from participating other than joining a team lol.

Tips to make a big number of tokens.

Basically, it's this: play the games you already have most, or all of the achievements unlocked for 30 minutes.
The game will now show up on the recently played games list on the event page. Then, it will allow you to unlock a big number of white points. If you have red points available, you can convert those white points into tokens by boosting, up to a 1000 a time.

And. that's all.
My perfect games are granting me almost 30000 white points, which I'm turning into 30000 tokens. So, each perfect game is granting me 2 vouchers of €5 each.

You just need to have red points available, and this is probably related either to the purchases you made on Steam, or something similar like the number of games you own.

So to clarify, tomorrow the red boost remaining meter resets? And it should reset to 100 (for the new day) + however many points for my $30ish of purchases?

One Finger Death Punch 2 gave me 94k points for 148 chivs. Yay.

And it looks like the amount of tokens shown in cart are now the same as on the pitstop page.

Only question remaining: Do I get all my 'capacity' (the red points) from day 1 back when things reset tomorrow? Would make sense if not since it would prevent extreme exploitation and farming.

For those wanting to organize their wishlist, it's easier to use the little box and type a number than drag and drop potentially hundreds of titles.

And it's instant.. So I found this to be a lot quicker than drag+drop method.
Had no idea this was a thing, thank you! It badly needs better management features though.

Probably not, since I have almost €30 in tokens (and should get €10 more in a few minutes, from another perfect game), so it would be ridiculous.
I would purchase hundreds of € during the event for free. That can't be right.

---

Guys, I know I keep repeating this, but is there any way I can check what my perfect games are?
The achievement tab on my profile doesn't show which games I have obtained all achievements, just the number of games, and this will come in handy to unlock points.

Add the achievement feature to your page and then it should have a perfect games number. Can you click on it?
