Welcome!Hello everyone. I guess my first post here, I don't have much to say (yet), but as everyone is posting their failure to launch Idlemaster, I'll do the same:
Enjoy your stay.

I don't think so. The Humble Widget offers 95%, but that offers no visibility and is basically a payment processor and key delivery service for developers to sell games on their own site. I believe Humble Store is 75%, but I'm almost positive that Green Man Gaming typically takes 30%. They often offer 27% discounts on preorders so it's likely they're just giving up almost all of their cut in those cases.90/10 has got to be about what stores like GMG and Humble offer for Steam keys to devs right? That is interesting. If Discord doesn't moneyhat exclusivity I will gladly support a real competitor to Steam, but they already have a track record of doing that so not holding my breath.
This fish doesn't look that big.Epic and Discord ain't got shit on Big Fish games
Which is a big reason why I’m here.Era gets more and more exhausting with their hands-off approach on PC gaming shitposting. :/
Yeah is weird because a lot of small devs say that the wishlist and page hits metric is super useful for them to measure campaing imprints and the like but then you have all this other devs singing the Epic song.I was just at a local game developer meeting, and the topic for today was primarily looking back at 2018, and the projects/achievements in it. There were a lot of small presentations (by the way, among others, the developers of Bridge Constructor Portal and the developers of Bus Simulator 18 were there), and it was really interesting (I also gave a talk "mod it till you make it" ).
But anyway, what I wanted to note is that it feels like every other talk referred to Steam reviews and the detailed review timeline tools in order to explain or illustrate what went well or what didn't. I certainly didn't get the impression that people don't want those reviews (or the tools to understand them better)!
One side is talking from experience, the other side is bought by Epic.Yeah is weird because a lot of small devs say that the wishlist and page hits metric is super useful for them to measure campaing imprints and the like but then you have all this other devs singing the Epic song.
PC gaming discussion is exhausting everywhere that isn't heavily populated by PC users.Era gets more and more exhausting with their hands-off approach on PC gaming shitposting. :/
I have a Book of Demon coupon. Tried to send it as a trade offer, but it wouldn't let me. If you can, send me a trade offer for it and I'll gladly give it to you.Anyone has a coupon for Book of Demons they don't plan to use? The demo was fun when I played it way back when, but it never felt like a game I'd buy for the EA price of the release price. For 5/6€ though I'd snatch it to play around with it.
In other news, GRIS met and exceeded my expectations. I didn't complete it yet, putting just 2 hours into it (the game is short tho from what I've heard) but everything I've experienced so far was pretty great. Art direction and sound direction intertwine perfectly giving birth to a visual and aural orgasm. Unlocking a color always paints the world in new tones and despite there being no direct storytelling or text in the game, it has so far communicated me so many emotions.
The sense of wonderment I get as I keep pushing forward in the game is something I haven't been feeling for a long while.
The best purchase of the year for me, beating even my Diablo 3 purchase for the Switch.
It's not a game for everyone, but it pushes all my buttons and tickles me in all the right spots.
Awesome, sending one offer your way!I have a Book of Demon coupon. Tried to send it as a trade offer, but it wouldn't let me. If you can, send me a trade offer for it and I'll gladly give it to you.
Done, sorry for the late response, I was making some mate.Awesome, sending one offer your way!
i believe there's a limit to that ... either value or quantity ... after which you have to confirm them againI could have sworn Steam made some marketplace changes so that you would no longer have to confirm (via the Steam mobile app) putting stuff up on the marketplace if it was lower than some value they had set. I think I may have put something on the marketplace without confirmation 1 and 1./2 to 2 weeks ago. My memory is fuzzy so I can't remember. It's back now?
but, but, but ... but the Polygon article ...But anyway, what I wanted to note is that it feels like every other talk referred to Steam reviews and the detailed review timeline tools in order to explain or illustrate what went well or what didn't. yeah, it always makes me wonder .... like obviously we know it's uninformed because we know A LOT about steam and how it works .... so it makes me wonder - do they usually say stuff THIS misinformed about other things as well?gaming websites, even gaming podcasts that I usually enjoy are all out there spouting uninformed nonsense.
that's because Derrick01 barely posts in hereConsidering most pc era people are here it proves our point that we aren't the ones causing problems either
Is it unlockable with a VPN?If you live in US:
https://news.ubisoft.com/en-us/article/341869/project-stream-participants-to-get-free-pc-copy-of-assassins-creed-odyssey
Play Assassin's Creed Odyssey for 1 hour via Project Stream and get full version on uPlay. Seems like a good deal.
Nope. They check connection quality. Is it unlockable with a VPN?

Protobuf definition for Steam's Networking Api and more specifically (new) xbox mention in it.what am i looking at exactly?
in English, please ...Protobuf definition for Steam's Networking Api and more specifically (new) xbox mention in it.
it certainly looks like it could be related to xbox crossplay. I can't think anything else at least.in English, please ...
basically - what is that or what do you think it will be?
oooooh, exciting!it certainly looks like it could be related to xbox crossplay. I can't think anything else at least.
Maybe a collaboration?oooooh, exciting!
although, if so, then what was that entire deal with Killer Instinct then? wasn't that supposed to be a test of MS doing crossplay stuff on their own or something?
That'd be awesome. Impossible to say from this though.Maybe a collaboration?

Yeah I have no idea how KI works. Could be it doesn't even use Steam's multiplayer at all?haven't really looked into KI multiplayer on steam ... maybe you can't play with your friends or something? so maybe this will be full integration? who knows ... would be cool, that's for sure
i wish!Obviously getting ready to bring Halo Master Chief Collection + Crossplay to PC
honestly - no idea ... i wouldn't be surprised ... i think it was just supposed to be their non-UWP API thingy to make crossplay possible or something like thatYeah I have no idea how KI works. Could be it doesn't even use Steam's multiplayer at all?
yeah, probably ... haven't really checked, i don't play fighting games in multiBut I think it has some limits to multiplayer between win10/xbox and steam.
Obviously getting ready to bring Halo Master Chief Collection + Crossplay to PC
I've sent a trade offer on Steam with the coupon. Thanks! Sent a friend request.
Truth.
I hope this would be true some day. Halo 3 on PC ;_;
One can hope.Obviously getting ready to bring Halo Master Chief Collection + Crossplay to PC
Click on the Smilies icon, and you have 4 tabs. One of them is for the WinterDemons emotes. One can hope.
Also, how do you people add those WinterDemons emotes?

Yeah, I never owned Xbox console and would like to continue the series, maybe some dayTruth.
I’ve only play up to Halo 4. I’d like to play this series again on PC.
Halo 1 has mods that will run it at 60fps with fixes and all that stuff, I finished it recently (never finished it on xbox actually even though I bought it day 1 lol), highly recommend it. I didn't like Halo 2 so it'll be left unfinished, 3 was good on the 360. Never played Halo after 3 because my 360 RRoD on me and I thought fuck them and went with the ps3.Yeah, I never owned Xbox console and would like to continue the series, maybe some day
I still have Halo 1 and 2 physical boxes on PC. Maybe it's time to replay those and hope for the best.
yeah, i'm sure Gaben is just DYING to go back to working at MSWhat if Microsoft is just finishing buying out Valve, and those strings in newest beta are a result of that?
