I'm experiencing an annoying bug on Steam.

I have a notification of 1 new comment on one of those entries that is generated when you purchase games (on the activity page), but when I click on it, it takes me to that page, and I have no new comments.
But, that notification doesn't leave, it keeps displaying the icon that I have 1 new message on the top right of the client.

Is there any way I can make this disappear?

thanks

Have you tried going to your comment notification page and clicking "clear all notifications"?

I don't have digital numbers for MH4 Ultimate, I don't have them for Iceborne, I'm discussing what's actually part of the chart, not speculating on what isn't. Do you really think it sold ~1m digital in Japan? Especially if we go compare only the launch weeks where MH4 Ultimate is closer to the range of the worldwide digital+physical Iceborne sales than its Japanese launch?
MHW sold ~700k+ digitally in Japan in its first week (not including download codes), DLC's always do better digitally then they do physically. It would not be shocking if Iceborne sold around if not more that amount digitally in its first week. You cant properly compare a 3DS title to a PS4 title in terms of sales because handheld is a much larger market than home consoles, and digital is a growing market in Japan and is significantly bigger on PS4 than it ever was on 3DS.

Well I don't speak speculation, just comment on the reported facts as they're shown.

If they go and announce how it had such crazy good digital performance in Japan I'll reevaluate with the new data then.

Don't expect anything sales wise from Capcom except worldwide sales numbers. They very rarely go in depth on sales in specific regions. But at least we have Famitsu for retail.

Gotta tip my hat to Bungie. They really did take D2 and ripped its entire structure out to properly make it f2p. Basically opened everyone up to the end game from the get go while placing all the legacy campaigns aside. And its kind of cool how you just go to the hangar and play all campaigns you want from the past 2 years. Everything is tied to the world without hurting the rest of the core game. So anyone can just squad up and enjoy all the raids, strikes, missions, expansions, pvp etc without much hassle. Or just have at all this solo content to play at your own pace. The M/KB make the game very easy but not stupid easy. It feels like an excellent PC game overall despite some of the launch issues.

So basically the Battle.net game 2 years ago was a boring, underwhelming and confusing mess you had to pay money for.

And now the Steam version is an overwhelming confusing mess that is free + accessible + fun to play.

The F2p package is great.
The Pay2play package is good too if you need more.

They opened the game up in to make it more accessible than vanilla D2 and Warframe. And its just as fun to play as Warframe. The fps shooting and visuals are a lot of fun. The season pass stuff is there to consume even more GaaS stuff for those who can't get enough.

It really does feel like a true MMOFPS now. I wonder now how much of this direction they took had to do with them breaking up with Activision. Either way it was the right decision from Bungie and I easily recommend this massive clusterfuck to people who are looking for a grindy podcast shooter right now.

I agree, I am having much better vibes than 2 years ago with the beta. The game transitions smoothly from one activity to a quest... It's a lot of fun with friends.

Bought a game on the switch online store, but can't download it because both the downloader and switch WiFi is pure trash.XD only WiFi I can use is Starbucks but those only stay connected a while before you have to reconnect, but switch downloader cancels the download when it fails and I have to restart every time.

We have really been spoiled rotten by steam on so many fronts.

This is super nice to see. Destiny not being held back by Activision's bullshit is all I ever wanted out of this break up.

I had this problem too a few days ago, and yeah, I had to do what Arsene said about marking all notifications as read. No idea why it happened.

I wanna go back to it and continue playing the campaigns (got to the middle of the base one), but Wolfie New Order is taking up all my gaming time at the moment.

The comparisons to DKC:TF and the playful yoshi like design lead me to believe id like this one more than others have said the first. Not a fan of colllectable, but it seems they're better tied into the game world than in most collectathons.

If anyone here is considering to get Origin Access Premier ($/£/€14.99 per month) for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (or Need for Speed Heat), this might be interesting for you:

If you turn on Login Verification for your Origin account by Oct 31, you get another month of Origin Access Premier for free if you're already a subscriber:

So, subscribe to Premier on Oct 31, turn on login verification and you'll have Premier for November + December.

Or if you don't want Premier and aren't currently subscribed to Access, you'll get a month of Access Basic for free anyway. More information in the link above.

You can use those two months to play Sea of Solitude and A Plague Tale: Innocence as well, for example.

It will soon be 1 week since I contacted Steam support that Steam keeps rejecting my AMEX card, the same card I use to buy in USD from steam the past 2 years.
They still hadn't gotten back to me on an update or solution :V

I don't go there regularly so thanks for posting this here, will make use of that exactly for NfS, Jedi and Solitude.

That sucks. I'd have hoped they'd be faster now with something relatively critical like that.

(This happened to me years ago on PSN and I had to resort to buying gift cards -- of course I didn't buy that much on PSN in the first place so it wasn't a big deal. Would be terrible if it happened on Steam)

One possible reason for the suspicion is because I logged into Steam both on Chrome and firefox as I am transitioning to firefox slowly now. Maybe they suspected the IP address, as we have dymaic isp here, but that shouldn't be an issue and is just a random guess.

So wonder what the next thing is for Steam, now that we got an update to library? Don't think they are going to any graphical redesign like last time from military green to the blue we have now. Maybe something about profiles and the community aspect?

Looks like they're changing the community side of Steam slowly. Friends was last year, then they added Events alongside the library change. Yesterday they changed the Event/Announcement system where comments are now more akin to the Steam Forums, So you can reply directly to or report individual comments now.

I'm wondering if they're working on a Store overhaul. Steam Labs seems like its hinting to to that at least. Then there's things like the summer sale and franchise sale pages having completely different UI and publisher/developer pages in betas. The store is also connected to so many community aspects because its the "core" of Steam. So updating all the community aspects one by one while they work on a store overhaul that connects to all of the changes in the background would not be surprising at all.

I found Risen to be sorely lacking (noticeably the entire second half of the game not being present, which is a bit problematic), but looking at the rest of the games, it has some good points at least.
Play Braid too.
And forget about Saint's Row 2... best SR game, possibly the worst PC port of all times.

I just received an email from Paypal saying I had funds on my account, so I thought "Oh boy, I finally received my Shenmue 3 refund!".

Yeah, right. It's just a monthly statement, and that message that I had money on my account actually meant "you had money on it last week".

Someone at Paypal is having a laugh at my wait for the refund. :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:

PayPal is the worst at this, hopefully you don't have their app installed or else they will 100% send you a push notification at middle of the night about nothing actually meaningful too

Nah, no app, and I didn't give them my cellphone number either. ;)

Every single time I tried to pay something recently, a pop-up message appears wanting me to add a cellphone number to my account, and I'm like, no way! :grinning-face-with-smiling-eyes:
