It's a new rule Ive made to avoid buying games day 1 and not starting to play the game until it's been on sale. Has happened so many times in the past. Buying a game day 1 (mostly AA and AAA games), but not being able to play the game until it's even been on 50% sale. It's annoying.
My rule is to get rid of the TODO list and buy the next game on day one.

I always just assumed I stunk at games, since I take FOREVER to make any progress in them. Also, I like jumping around.

Even my most played games, I only have about 50 hours or so... KotOR, Witcher 3, Deus Ex: Human Revolution...

Guess I just don't play enough. Life always gets in the way for me: work, household tasks, friends/family, gym, other entertainment/hobbies, etc.

Honestly, I envy y'all
Sounds alright to me. I have hardly played games this whole summer. I've finished one or two, bounced around to a bunch. I mean balance is all about making sure no one aspect of life takes up all the time. I'd much rather work on outdoor projects, build stuff, gardening, hang out with a beer(s) in front of a lantern with people and no screens around. Winter will be here soon enough and I'll put more effort into games then when I'm indoors more. Right now it's summer!
My rule is to get rid of the TODO list and buy the next game on day one.
Right on. Toss out that To Do list and put just one game on it. Each game is a new beginning. Then slowly add all those old games back in over time. Now it's the Refined To Do List. Progress.

Sadly, they are locking exclusive in-game content at a €125 tier.
Not cool.

Even if I really wanted to, I'm no longer willing to drop that amount of money on a crowdfunded game, especially one that is already listed as coming to the EGS.

I guess I'll wait for the final game.
If they didn't have that exclusive in-game content stuff, I would have backed it.

So, apparently Super Robot Wars V was available for a few minutes in South American and Russia / CIS countries, it's still possible to see the prices Bamco set for it in those countries through SteamDB. Here's for Argentina, for example:

With this and the keys restricted to those regions I 100% expect this game to be available everywhere but EU / NA. Maybe pre-orders went a bit earlier for those countries, but I don't see why Bamco would go out of their way setting prices and key packages with those specific region locks if not to release it.

Interesting.

They've also been messing around with the store since the game is out a couple of hours ago. The purchase button went up and down multiple times.

.....good I might "buy it" if after "trying it"

Yes Bandai will be getting some money from me (make a throw away Steam acount with the game on it, to show Bandai that people do want the games) but just not right away. I need to make sure the goods are decent.

I'm sure in one week a World Wise release of this game will be out and about.

It really sucks about the whole licensing thing though.

Welp, don't mind if I do

Never in my wildest dreams did i ever expect us getting ignored by most licenses somehow paying off.

Waking up far too early and with a raging hate boner for geo locking. Yeah, yesterday I wanted to read Berserk in English. I apparently can’t.
SRW is a no go.
And let’s not talk about anime.

Fucking trash tier digital world.

Atelier Ryza is nowhere to be found on the 1st page of top sellers now.

Meanwhile, Code Vein is still holding on at #2 (if you don't count the multiple SKUs of Destiny 2).

Hey I know that we talked about how you should consider a lot of your game library a lost cause since it's just not possible to go and play through it all.

So what about your physical library/console games? I have a number of 3DS games that I never beat/barely played.

I'm spoiled by money because I use to actually beat games but I hardly ever do that now and I do have a lot of free time to spend on games.

Anyway have some of you gotten rid of these physical games that you may never beat?

I have gone through a phase (i'm sort of over it/don't really have money to keep at it) where I would buy physical stuff for the sake of having physical stuff and never actually played those games (PS Vita)

Maybe in the future I can sell some of these and get a decent amount of money back/I wonder if I ever have kids if they would be interested in playing through my games

I think a lot of the games that I use to play would take me just 15 hours or so to beat. Oh NDS how great you were.

I 'Marie Kondo'd' my physical collection, then sold the rest due to money problems.

That made me realize how little I miss a lot of those games. I think I'm yet to re-purchase any of the games I sold.

I think I will potentially do the same at some point. The first time I ever sold any of my games was back in 2013 when I was trying to buy a Nexus 7 tablet (which I still have and that still sort of works).

Anyway when I sold those games I think I sort of regreted it at first but then I ended up getting over it. I would not mind going back and playing some of them but I don't know about rebuying them.

What I do regret doing is getting rid of my DSi and OG 3DS sure I may have not used them much if I still had them but they did have more sentimental value compared to the games that I use to play. Ah Flipnote studio.... I think it's on the 3DS now but I'm sure it would just not be the same at all since stuff is different now compared to 2009. Those were my memes.

I think I will try to keep my JRPG games those and hopefully one day I will beat some of those.

I'd like to repurchase a 3DS and lots of games I sold, but honestly I won't play them. I barely can keep up with the new stuff to be thinking about old stuff. Which of course have a lot of great games, but as the time passes they are getting rarer and more expensive, and I only have so much time and money.

Won't the game be sold in other stores? All the other Bamco games are sold elsewhere

Kind of sucks that you can't change the difficulty in RE7 once you started playing and I really don't want to restart the game. The aim is so wobbly with the steam controller that even simple enemies can take something like to 20 bullets.XD

There's probably a CheatEngine table for that.

Hmh never cheated in a game before! But yeah I just want the experience and not the challange of the game. I'm cheesing it right now, after every enemy I run back to the save room and save, and if an enemy takes more than five bullets I restart.XD

Edit: screw it, I restarted the game on easy.

I wouldn't even say that's "cheating" lol. The "easy" difficulty is something the game provides, it just arbitrarily decided to not let you change your choice you have to make at the beginning, where you don't even know how difficult it will be, or if you're going to enjoy the challenge or if it gets in the way of enjoying the story/atmosphere. Nothing wrong with saying "screw that" and using CheatEngine or something else to make the game more enjoyable.

One of the biggest annoyances in games is the arbitrariness of difficulty options. I dream of a day with dynamic difficulty options like the ones you can find in some sports games.

So I'm checking out the latest Famitsu sales chart and it seems Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is doing pretty badly. I wish that would show them all the core changes mean that even though it reeled in newcomers, that was mostly due to the marketing/hype/new platforms and the game doesn't have the same staying power. But it'll probably do gangbusters in the West physical & digital with people buying it just to have it all (despite the mixed reviews on Steam).

But yeah, they sell it as expansion and as a Masterworks bundle that includes both World and Iceborne, the expansion version dropped off the top 20 super fast, the Masterworks proved more popular and sits at #8 for the last week. That brings it all to like 411k combined these past few weeks when Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (G there) sold 1.446m on its launch week alone over there. It would be nice if it made them reconsider some things.

Thats the base game + expansion. The DLC itself shipped 2.5m copies in the first week.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne ships 2.5 million units during launch week

That's worldwide, I'm talking Japanese sales in both cases. Hence Famitsu sales, me saying it'll probably do gangbusters in the West or how MH4 sold this much "over there" etc. The expansion version is right there last in the top 30 and like I said both together total ~411k LTD vs MH 4 Ultimate's ~1.446m on week 1.

Used to have a collection just shy of 900 titles spanning across various systems and sold it all even my NES collection of titles I owned before I could read. Best decision I'd ever made. Turns out they really are just plastic.

Only physical games I kept was my original xbox collection since nobody wants those. My buddies and I still play Halo 2 and Simpsons Road Rage.

Only game I really miss so far is Shin Megami Tensei IV.

Make of that what you will.

That doesn't mean its doing bad. Monster Hunter 4 did better than MHW (base game) physically in Japan at launch too.

The big thing you should note is that the only physical version of Iceborne is the Master Edition. Those sales of Iceborne (just the expansion) that Famitsu lists are from people who bought download cards at retail, Not people who bought the game directly from PSN. (Which would be most people.)

4 Ultimate was only available as a repackage with no digital upgrade. So most people bought it physically because its considered a separate game and not a DLC like Iceborne is. Digital is also significantly bigger on PS4 than it was on 3DS.

Not that much less, just like ~400k.

Both were at over 1 million at least and nowhere near that in Iceborne's case, while it also sold way less than World, when 4/4G were in a similar range.

4 Ultimate doesnt have a cheaper digital upgrade option like Iceborne does.
I'm combining it in the totals since it has physical sales even if they're just a digital code. I don't have digital numbers for MH4 Ultimate, I don't have them for Iceborne, I'm discussing what's actually part of the chart, not speculating on what isn't. Do you really think it sold ~1m digital in Japan? Especially if we go compare only the launch weeks where MH4 Ultimate is closer to the range of the worldwide digital+physical Iceborne sales than its Japanese launch?
