So I'm checking out the latest
Famitsu sales chart and it seems Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is doing pretty badly. I wish that would show them all the core changes mean that even though it reeled in newcomers, that was mostly due to the marketing/hype/new platforms and the game doesn't have the same staying power. But it'll probably do gangbusters in the West physical & digital with people buying it just to have it all (despite the mixed reviews on Steam).
But yeah, they sell it as expansion and as a Masterworks bundle that includes both World and Iceborne, the expansion version dropped off the top 20 super fast, the Masterworks proved more popular and sits at #8 for the last week. That brings it all to like 411k combined these past few weeks when Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (G there) sold 1.446m
on its launch week alone over there. It would be nice if it made them reconsider some things.
