Good news!!!! After a year and a half or so I was finally able to pay off one of my credit cards. Yay!!! Before when I had my old job I was earning more than what I was spending on my credit card.
I technically have 3 cards, two of which are payed off and the third one at least won't charge me Interest or any fees for the next year and a half (it's a card for medical stuff) so as of right now my total debt is around $1,600 USD. That's not too terrible.
Also since it's October I plan to at least buy 2 games (Digimon and Ryza, maybe another one as well?) So hopefully I can keep my game spending to under $200USD a month and that would be great.
Are there some well known games releasing in December by the way?
As for RDR2 unless there is some very special pre-order type of thing I will just wait until a price drop since I already have the game on PS4 (I got the ultimate edition one from GameStop for $100USD). I of course will be picking it up from Social Club/Rockstar Launcher if it's only going to be a Rockstar and EGS thing.
Also there have been times when 4chan has told the truth/sort of

yeah, we'll see ... i mean - they might not want that much if their goal is to herd people to their shitty launcher (just like ubi are) ... because honestly, neither T2, nor Tim give a fuck about egs sales in that arrangement ... Tim's only goal is to get the game off steam, and T2's goal is to get the vast majority of the people using their shitty launcher ... so they might actually not want a lot of money from Tim ... you never know

This EGS shit, all of these launchers, reminds me of the current clusterfuck going on with streaming movies and tv shows. It hasn't gone to quite that level of shit but we've got powerful industry forces trying to make it so.

I hate to use the talking point, but outside of cases where launchers are unsupported in your region or games overpriced, piracy shouldn't be a huge problem since the launchers are still free.
The thing that's going to cause piracy in games to return is subscriptions.

Epic has unlimited money (to an extent). Unreal engine + Fortnite. These "exclusive purchases" arent even a drop in the bucket. Also if they are only "guaranteed sales" and not even a bonus payment than Epic is probably making money off just the game sales themselves at some point.

A LOT of people simply don't care ... we can talk all we want about other launchers being free ... but a huge amount of people really don't give a crap and will just go back to pirating (regardless of what we think about this)
Heh fair enough. Thing is that I go on A LOT of media black out for games, even the ones that interest me. However much of the impressions I read about the gameplay just sounds....like stuff that's been done. I am not very trusting of Kojima's writing and story appraoch post MGS3.
He got some good gameplay ideas but again, the gameplay points just aren't all that impressive so far.

I just don't think that's true generally.
The convenience level is just high enough that for games people really want, they'll simply buy them (e.g. Borderlands 3).
But it's also just low enough that for games people are on the fence about wanting, they'll simply ignore or forget about them (more run of the mill indie Egsclusive-type games).
The latter thing is the much bigger issue for indie devs I think. Because there are so many decent games coming out on Steam regularly, unless you're a huge title like Blands 3, I think there's a chance your Egsclusive game is simply forgotten. And to some extent, being forgotten is actually worse than being pirated. At least when your game is pirated, you're still getting some public discourse out of that. If your game is forgotten to the extent that people don't even bother pirating it...well good luck.
