Gotta wonder if Fall Guys is the next game in line to get shutdown, unless it is still doing great on console, but the numbers on pc gotta be really bad, since Steam is only like 3k-4k peak a day and EGS numbers is probably worse than that. Also Fall Guys is in 31st place and is below Rumbleverse.
I was expecting them to hit about 500 million in third party revenue, but im also starting to wonder if i am very wrong, if their EGS stats is really this great, then they would probably had released it already and tim sweeney would had talked non stop about it on twitter on how he saved pc gaming.I still think they probably had 10-15% MAU growth and big revenue growth, but even at this point I'm starting to wonder.
I don't think Fall Guys has any immediate danger of shutting down since Epic completely owns it and uses it as one of their three pillars of marketing alongside Fortnite and Rocket League, and they simply published Rumbleverse. At the same time, it isn't doing nearly as well as it was at F2P launch. Even discounting Steam charts, Fall Guys is down to 29th place on Xbox while it was 2nd at launch. For comparison, Rocket League is currently 11th on the Xbox charts. It does appear to still be a strong performer on PSN though as it was 3rd in the US and 4th in Europe last month and Switch is ¯\(ツ)/¯ .Gotta wonder if Fall Guys is the next game in line to get shutdown, unless it is still doing great on console, but the numbers on pc gotta be really bad, since Steam is only like 3k-4k peak a day and EGS numbers is probably worse than that.

-GTA Definitive still hasn't launched on EGS. lol
well it's """Telltale""", so ...Either they just haven’t put it up on Steam just yet, or The Expanse got egg’d.
that was knonw iirc since announcementEither they just haven’t put it up on Steam just yet, or The Expanse got egg’d.
Man that’s disappointing. The Expanse was the best sci-fi show in years - was really looking forward to this.that was knonw iirc since announcement
Give it a year. It's not like the game is riding a hype wave from Season 6 or anything.Man that’s disappointing. The Expanse was the best sci-fi show in years - was really looking forward to this.
Oh yeah, I have plenty of other things to play. Just sad I’ll be waiting another year after release for this.Give it a year. It's not like the game is riding a hype wave from Season 6 or anything.
That's probably because I don't care anymore about EGS and their ridiculous quest to lock PC games to their store. Truth is that it barely affects me: every game involved in Epic's exclusivity deals is added to my blacklist permanently, and yet my backlog is growing faster than ever. I already own enough games to play for the rest of my life, and I have a huge wishlist on top of that. The amount of shrug emojis in this thread from Arc and Ge0force is fascinating.
tbh i am not sure . waht to think of this new Telltale ... iirc its just some random suspicious dudes that bought the name and over time hired half of original telltale team ... so really not sure what to expect out of them foe both Expanse and Wolf S2Man that’s disappointing. The Expanse was the best sci-fi show in years - was really looking forward to this.
I think it is like Arc said and they will likely release it alongside their publishing tools. That said, I imagine they will further simplify their numbers and choose what to highlight or how to highlight it. I imagine overall user accounts and spend are up, but spend per user is likely down and MAUs are a question mark. I think their overall growth is likely levelling out. I am sure they are still growing im the strictest sense, but it feels like any pull the store had is cooled off.Im curious if they quietly retired the year in review report because the numbers were so shit.
Or they will suddenly publish it and the numbers are fantastic.
Or the janitor who makes those things is dead or on vacation.
thats a goo question ... didnt even noticedWhich of the questions was the answer for?
Never heard of them to never hearing from them again. Best of luck chasing that Sweeney Dragon.
I was lurking their Discord and they're straight up pulling the Steam page in lieu of going to EGS. Good luck I guess.
Unrelated, but I've never seen this Steam Deck compatibility message before.
so they're gonna be talking about steam?"Setting up your releases for success"
First step. Don,t."Setting up your releases for success"
I bet those "features" they're planning on showing off are gonna get delayed and "coming months" is gonna turn to a year+. Just like everything else Epic does.
I assume the year in review stats will be announced at GDC. I remember they mentioned having 85 million users at GDC 2019.
I was able to get hands on with a little over an hour of Crime Boss, the four-player co-op first-person shooter that flexes its cast of Hollywood stars from yesteryear. After playing through five separate missions in the “Urban Legends” mode, I came away finding it tough to conjure up enthusiasm for the “organized crime” shooter. The game’s shallow mission design leaves much to be desired, and its foundational aspects — gunplay, encounters, and stealth — aren’t impressive enough to carry the weight.
Clearing a bunch of generic gangsters and lugging around bags of loot while trying to survive the swarm of a SWAT team had its thrills, but it underscored the floaty gunplay when trying to thin out enemies to make our escape.
Compounding the problems with stealth and gunplay are Crime Boss’ operators — the characters you choose to play as in each mission. Each one has their quirks, perks, and nerfs, like damage output, movement speed, and how they’re affected when carrying loot, among other things. But they’re subject to fixed loadouts. If your roster of operators doesn’t include someone with silenced weapons, or at least a gadget to support a stealthy approach, expect to go in and get out guns blazing.
I can see why 505 sold it as an exclusive.Whatever the hell is going on with the game’s characters isn’t going to make up for what Crime Boss lacks in gameplay, either. From the few voice lines I got to hear in brief cutscenes between missions, dialogue sounds like a table read for a script that never got revised (Chuck Norris being the worst offender). With the likes of Michael Madsen, Danny Glover, and Kim Basinger, I would hope for moments of dumb, self-aware fun to give a vibe of a cheesy crime thriller, but the tone and performances miss the mark. I struggle to imagine these aspects landing in a full story based on the preview’s snippets of corny dialogue and half-hearted delivery.
Linux users get their revenge. The Quebec Court of Appeal has upheld a decision authorizing a class-action lawsuit by parents who claim their children became addicted to the popular online video game Fortnite.
Lawyers for Fortnite creator Epic Games had sought permission to appeal the decision, arguing that a Superior Court judge never should have authorized the class action because the plaintiffs didn't present enough evidence about children being addicted.
Bethesda put their two latest games on EGS at launch (Ghostwire: Tokyo and HiFi Rush) and has put much of their back library on there. I assume Starfield will launch on EGS day and date with the other platforms as well. They are four years in and still don’t get some major games like Sons of the Forest and Starfield, nor any sign that they will ever get Microsoft games on the store. Starfield is bigger than any EGS exclusive ever and SotF isn’t too far behind. Trying to compete by throwing money at exclusives was always a futile idea when Valve already had so many de facto exclusives.
Congrats to the 20 people that will buy Starfield on EGS than.Bethesda put their two latest games on EGS at launch (Ghostwire: Tokyo and HiFi Rush) and has put much of their back library on there. I assume Starfield will launch on EGS day and date with the other platforms as well.
