A look at Ubisofts Quartz and the legal documents associated with it (hint you own nothing).
Just finished watching the video.

He does not necessarilty hate the idea put out behind the NFT Blog Post and that there may be a future for NFT/Blockchain in gaming. However when reviewing the legal documents you own nothing, you are not allowed to even consider profitting from this technology, all of it is in direct opposition to what they claim in the blog post.

Also covers DMCA obligations when artists are trying to reclaim some of their stolen work being sold as NFT's.

My problem with the trustworthiness of Blockchain and NFT is not so much the tech, but the actors eyeing it up. When you have Ubisoft, Activision and EA eyeing this tech up all I can think off is Snake Oil Salesmen.
Oh and one final edit.

I bought Project Zomboid in the GOG sale and have been watching these videos. Very entertaining and informative and most of all chill. They're not an overexcitable scream-fest.

edit: after watching more there's a couple of videos at around #15 that do go a bit waxing philosophical and poetic but they return to showing gameplay and ideas for #18. Also as it takes place over 2 years some of the early exploits are patched but it's still and easy series to watch and at it's strongest when showing game mechanics and gameplay.

Here's the VOD archive channel from their Twitch streams if you want to check out some unedited footage.

I played the tutorial last night and i can see there's a LOT to the game but it is a bit clunky. It's been in Early Access for YEARS but it seems to be complete and they are still adding to it. There's also a ton of mods in the workshop. I'd recommend checking out some more review type videos.
It was about £7 on GoG, it's a little cheaper on Steam but it seemed solid enough to take a risk with at that price and looks like the kind of game i'll play for a few weeks and then move on but keep returning to it for sessions a couple of times a year as i get better at it.

It's one of those games I grabbed on release to support as I loved the look of it, but decided to let it get closer to completion before trying. After 7 years in EA it maybe time to give it a shot.

So Riot have settled their case in California for the sum of $100 dollars.

Virtual legality has a look at the settlement and appears to believe this is to give California a bigger beatstick for going after Acti-Blizz.

This guy posts a new video almost daily andI find it to be a great source to find upcoming somewhat obscure indie games. His english isn't the best and the editing could be better but I feel is good enough and the pros far outweigh the cons.

Yeah, I check out Clemmy Games every now and then. I quite like the ones where he focusses on particular genres.

Just given this a watch/listen (working from home so catching up on a lot of Kim Justice stuff while I work).

A look at all the Sega games converted to the Spectrum. I always love the focus Kim has on the old Micro Computers over the consoles.

Posting here as well!

Goddamnit! The clever bastard actually went and did it! Can't wait to watch it!

Look what I posted a while ago!

I've played both The Secret World and Secret World Legends. It's totally playable in singleplayer! The story is well written and interesting, even if lots of quests just... end, a bit unsatisfyingly. The worst part of the game is the endless combat with palette-swap (rather name swapped) enemies. And that it is just. so. damn. long... (which doesn't help since it's filled with combat). I love the setting and the story, but it's still not a definite recommend. I would love for Josh Strife Hays to tackle this game for his "Worst MMORPG" series...

To those who yearn for more mulit-hour reviews of games, here's another one:

I watched a video by him before, it was pretty great, so I hope this one is, too. If I watch it, I'll probably do that in 30 minute chunks or something.

Finished it last night.

Excellently made. Not only did it showed how Deus Ex is still a timeless classic, but also explain the current state of AAA games.

Watched it also, and I agree with practically every point he makes. Yet I still loved DXHR to bits. I did want to give Deus Ex another shot but getting that game to run properly is a pain ... and Revision changed a bit much...but I might still go with it, one day. ;)

MegaApple Redline! Wow, i remember playing that one. It was good fun at the time even if it was a bit repetative. Drive around, find enemy base, tear about inside clearing out turrets and running people over then getting out of the car into FPS mode and clearing the rest of the base. Good times.

Not great nowadays and even back then it was clunky but i played it for ages and went back to it often to just mess about in it which was rare in those days when i was getting a ton of CDs from friends who had internet access. So yeah, it's not amazing but it had something that kept my interest.

Sul Matul has just finished their premiere of the new video, i caught the last 2 hours thanks to youtube not notifying me and because i was watching a 6 hour KotOR stream by onolumi.

Oh, yeah... it's 8 hours long but if you've seen their previous Pathologic videos or the KotOR LP then you'll have an idea of her style. Very chill and this time she has a lot of people helping with VA, Music and animatic work too.

Been a while since I caught up on the Worst MMO series.

TL;DW A great RPG with MMO bits bolted on. Not a great new player experience with the fans doing a better job of explaining systems than the game does. Also the Imperial Agent is a must play.
