They're advertasing it as a whole new game. Currently the site and their bl9g aren't working.

Gladly it won't beso ... epic-exclusive then?
Nopeso ... epic-exclusive then?
you should know by now that logos on websites mean NOTHING (and so do replies from devs, logos in trailers, store pages, or even pre-orders)Nope
i can 100% guarantee you epic are, at the very least, trying to make it an exclusive - it's a big indie game ...I'm going to have a heart attack if this game end up being egs exclusive lashman
You are way too pessimistic, do you know that?you should know by now that logos on websites mean NOTHING (and so do replies from devs, logos in trailers, store pages, or even pre-orders)
yes, let's ... fingers crossedYou are way too pessimistic, do you know that?
Epic has 10 days to make it exclusive. Let's hope that they fail ^^
yeah, it really is extremely nice of them!Very generous to give it to backers even if it's a shorter game and/or has a lot of asset reuse.
i know, right? so annoying ... and disappointing ... and sadI just need preorders to go live on any site so I can guarantee a Steam key. Now I wish I had backed via KS so I could get a Steam Key. To be a PC gamer in 2019.
But but but they said competition is good for us. Don't you understand?I just need preorders to go live on any site so I can guarantee a Steam key. Now I wish I had backed via KS so I could get a Steam Key. To be a PC gamer in 2019.
What tops your list? There's still a lot I haven't played.I enjoyed Hollow Knight a lot (though it isn't my favourite indie metroidvania, the competition is fierce!), and this looks awesome.
I'm not confident to make an "all-time favourite" Metroidvania list because I don't think I can honestly compare games I've played over a ~20 years timeframe. But in terms of "new" entries in the genre (e.g. over the past 5 years) my overall favourite is Momodora: RutM. It may not have the most intricate battle system, the flashiest movement options, or the largest amount of content, but it's just so incredibly well-paced and I loved the setting/mood it evokes. I might also rank Ori just a slight bit higher than Hollow Knight, but that's probably because I lean towards traversal a bit more than combat in these games. Rabi-Ribi and Timespinner are also excellent. What tops your list? There's still a lot I haven't played.
ooooh, that's one of the oooooold onesOne Metroidvania I never hear much about and find amazing is Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet
yeah, that's for sureYep, this is from when indie Metroidvanias were very uncommon.
This game is going to be so good
I'm hoping it comes this year but I have my doubts.Yeah. Surprisingly, I think this is my single most anticipated game this year.
I made the mistake and lurked in a thread where the PR manager said the game is done, but they're currently polishing and will not announce a launch date until it's 100% done. This is one of those games where I've stopped reading or watching anything about it in order to go in as blind as possible.
