For like the past three years at least, Jeff has literally been the Simpsons "old man yelling at the clouds" meme most of the time.

I love the guy, I love hearing him wax poetically on classic games, I love hearing him talk about weird experiences as a reviewer in the early industry, and I love hearing him get excited about his weirdly specific love for shooters.

But it feels like the longer some of membership-based influencer channels exist (EZA, KFG, etc), the more out of touch with the consumer side of the industry they get.

Gaming on consoles and PC but PC definitely is the majority.

I watch movies and some shows occasionally but I wouldn’t consider it a hobby at this point as I don’t really follow that scene in great detail anymore.

Outside of the time I devote to my dog I’d say gaming is only thing I’d call a hobby.

Yeah humidity is pretty bad here, not just my room, the entire city is like a sauna here, I literally drip in sweat when I go run, and leave a trail of sweat on the floor when I get home and walking through my living room, it's fucking gross :p

It's my main hobby, although I don't actually play many games nowadays. I do watch movies from time to time and I do follow sports relatively closely (football and basketball). I'm a Panathinaikos fan btw (that's a greek football and basketball team). I do spend much of my free time posting about PC gaming as you might have noticed. I also don't own any consoles and haven't done so since the days of the original Gameboy.

Eh, let's just say that I have a very different opinion on GAF moderation. I got on Bish's bad side for some reason and I received several many-month bans in a short period of time. All for gaming-related threads. I'm sure he had his reasons but the length and frequency of the bans were utterly ridiculous.

I like Jeff and Giant Bomb's content. Sadly they just don't care about that stuff and it shows. Jeff will go on pretty epic rants about stuff that he cares about (like Fallout 4 being a technical mess on consoles) but the matter of exclusivity has never been on their radar, possibly due to the crew's console roots. Others have mentioned it, I can't remember if it was here or on Era, but I'm sure that TotalBiscuit would have ripped Epic a new one. He was a big loss for PC-focused news and analysis and I miss him.

After Sekiro I decided to play something mellow and went with The First Tree. Game looked up my alley with a neat style and short duration.

Now, 90 minutes later I'm mad. Game is like a drawn out WhatsApp video. Like the ones older relative redirect to you with a sob story and some somber piano music to make you emotional. I kinda liked the style but the areas were too big and even when running the walking speed was too slow for me.

Kinda bummed out.

it's kind of split with my time with Switch. Both platforms have a large backlog that I need to get through.

In fact, I didn't really have a gaming-focused PC before 2015, I bought a laptop based on K.Jack's (GAF) recommendation and bought MGSV. Then the craziness started and I kept on playing a few more games, including CS:GO. Before 2015, I only dabbled in portable console gaming. Sold my laptop afterwards due to my mistake in not choosing an SSD, and then bought a new one from the same supplier.

Outside of that, I used to watch a lot of movies and TV shows, but now I watch very little due to my attempts at burning through my backlog of games I want to play.

He was the mod I was talking about earlier, got demodded way too late when the damage had already been done. Utter tool.

edit: A day after I ordered Tetris Effect for 20€ it's now under 10€ at Amazon France (+ shipping). Grrrr.
