Yeah, when games become that pricey, you start comparing it with other things you can buy with that money instead.

As for me, do I want to buy this one digital game that I'll finish in 2 weeks at most, or buy 5 different model kits instead that I can build and display in my room?

Sequel? Mobile?
Part of me wants an stupid case like WRC 9 and 10 in which 10 is coming to Steam sooner than 9 because of exclusivity.

I can imagine Judgment 2 coming to Steam before Judgment 1 and that makes me laugh really hard sometimes :upside-down-face:

To be fair this game probably won’t come to the west until 2022. Its very possible they Stadia deal will end and Judgement will be on PC before 2 comes out.

If I'm honest with you, I think Stadia deal won't be 12 months but shorter, Judgment remastered has chances of coming to PC within this year around October/November, BUT we will see.

An April 2022 release makes more sense than releasing a game such as Judgment with an October-November potential release date, but who knows.

Are you guys really surprised at the fact japanese devs/pubs are releasing busted ports and ask ridiculous prices for them? When have they showed any consideration or cared about their customers?
In all seriousness the relation between western customers and japanese devs/pubs is some sick version of stockholm syndrome that I'll never understand.

Ended up finishing Sekiro with M&K and really enjoyed playing it that way. The game itself was fun to play but not the most interesting in terms of lore and exploring. I liked the cutting down of the RPGness of the Souls to focus on the combat, which feels great albeit simple. Feels like it needed more interesting characters, locales and enemy types for it to be truly amazing.

Nier has been on top global seller for the past 3 days. Curious about the ccu peak.
In fact I will be surprised if it doesn't get a banner given the projection and prior game of the series.

What in the world...
Did they use the Vita version of this one for some reason?
Honestly, this just feels the LOD in that level is completely bugged and it's only loading resources at the lowest LOD level. Would explain the trees, and why it's not loading the flowser assets.

That's... messed up. Maybe the DX ports are based on Vita or Switch version?

Other than isolated situations like this flower field or the trees in the comparison shot I posted yesterday, most of the DX version seems to be a match for the original PS4/PC versions I think. My guess is that the base version for the DX collection is the Switch (that is, the originals were ported to the Switch and downgraded where needed, and then this new Switch version was used as a base for the others)....

EDIT: Sophie seems to have gotten the worst of it, the other 2 games don't seem to be affected as much, though they're not free of issues either.

Firis DX PC, the broken lighting of the original PC version is fixed, but the user that shared the Sophie screenshots says that there are also downgraded parts in Firis. I haven't seen yet any good comparison screenshots for this though. Firis is especially hard to compare since the original PC version is borked anyway.

Lydie & Suelle DX, so far there's a bug with sailboats in the beginning, at least in the PC version:

I came across this interesting tweet while reading up on SDR

I mean, it is reasonable that if you are going to use Steam Datagram Relay system they ask you to release the game on Steam hehe

This one in particular is not platform agnostic, it can be used elsewhere, yes, but still depends of Steam to fully work.

Valve seems to have always had the view that it's okay to use their systems/stuff as long as you release your content also on Steam.
which is fine if you ask me.

I develop a tool, I release it, the only thing I ask you is to put your game on my platform in order to use it and then you are free to expand it to every single system you want.

They want to be a main pillar of the platform and as so their main goal is to get everyone on board.
