Wait, they took it out? How does that work when the "FMV books" are pretty important to the lore of the game.Myst looks really nice now! Too bad they took out the FMV though. Unless that’s changed in this version..

Here's the Atrus hologram, for example:
Will game pass version have VR?
I could not bother downloading these, but I will try them with xCloud.
By far the best thing about being on your own and having your own place:
I love these icon cache problems have literally been around since Vista (when Windows allowed you to have bigger icons than 32x32) and Microsoft still hasn't fixed this. It's almost impressive how little this company cares about was used to be its core product ( and arguably still is to some extent).Had a power outage and now all my steam games icons on the desktop are blank and no amount of tinkering/reinstalling/whatever you can find on the internet is helping
I fucking hate when this happens since in my experience Steam is unable to fix this shit on its own
So are they actually working out how to traverse that in real time? And yes we are doomed
One day robot is doing cute parkour and the next one it's crushing skulls at a strike. And yes we are doomed
feels more like it's steam rather than microsoft since origin, bnet and uplay aren't being affectedI love these icon cache problems have literally been around since Vista (when Windows allowed you to have bigger icons than 32x32) and Microsoft still hasn't fixed this. Somehow it seems less impressive that they do it perfectly. I'd rather see them slip and catch themselves without eating it or how they respond to real-time changes to the course/interference from outside sources while running it to be impressed. It's 2021 and i'm knocking robots doing obstacle courses, something is amiss about this. And yes we are doomed

For me, it's being able to more conveniently stream non-Steam games. You can do that through Steam, but on the client system it won't have any info on the game so it doesn't get lumped with recently played stuff. This might be a stupid question... But why? Is it just to reduce the resource overhead from running the main Steam client?
I mean the Steam client itself has supported streaming from one computer to another for years and years now.
Yeah, I know. I was there when Remote Play first dropped.I mean, not to be a stickler here, but technically there was a "Steam Link app" on Windows even before Steam Link existed.
You can download it right here: Steam, The Ultimate Online Game Platform
It's pre-programmed.So are they actually working out how to traverse that in real time?
Or is it pre-programmed?
This is the gaming equivalent of "Hollywood accounting"People Can Fly didn’t receive royalties from Outriders
People Can Fly apparently hasn't received any royalties from Outriders, and staff at the company don't know how many copies of the game have been sold.www.vg247.com
I think this is due to Windows. Steam uses some kind of URL, and probably sets the icon during the creation. The icon cache goes haywire (basically when you look at the desktop the wrong way) and Windows doesn't know what to do, whereas with link to an executable it tries to look up the icon from there .feels more like it's steam rather than microsoft since origin, bnet and uplay aren't being affected
usually I have to tinker with steam until it unfucks itself tbh
plus I remember steam mindfucking itself on ubuntu (or was it kubuntu?) as well years ago when I had to mess around with it again
Looks lovely! Team 17 is one of my favorite publishers nowadays
That's interesting, the way icons are shown on Ubuntu is pretty distinct, using .desktop files. If you get the same issues on both, than yeah, that's pretty sus. It’s not windows i have seen it happening on ubuntu too, it’s steam fucking around unlike the other launchers
Just replace the desktop shortcuts with actual shortcuts to the game exe. It’s not windows i have seen it happening on ubuntu too, it’s steam fucking around unlike the other launchers
Had same problem a couple of times and Rebuild Shell Icon Cache always did the trick for meHad a power outage and now all my steam games icons on the desktop are blank and no amount of tinkering/reinstalling/whatever you can find on the internet is helping

More Assassin's Creed things than all previous 3 games combined
I love it, tricky to get the hang of but when it clicks its great. Lovely looking (on PC). Nice style to it. Lovely nod to old rally stuff within it as well. How's art of rally?

now that's a fucking good monthComing Soon to Xbox Game Pass: Psychonauts 2, Humankind, Twelve Minutes, and More - Xbox Wire
You probably saw this coming, but there are lots of Xbox Game Pass games on the way. Last week we announced Humankind is coming to PC on day one… and today that day has arrived! Looking ahead, we’re excited to explore the bizarre, twisted, and trippy mental worlds of Psychonauts 2 and solve the...news.xbox.com

* = except on the major DLCs because we realized that the gimmick got old really fast.
And all this does is remind me that the obvious original plan was to eventually have a modern-era based game before that "WTF" ending of Assassin's Creed 3.

Humankind also got a price increase at least in Argentina after it launched earlier today.
