Pet peeve : when I click on a dev on steam, it's because I want to see the games they made. I know, how original. So can you please go fuck yourself when you bring me to the publisher's page ?

Oh, and I'm playing Lovecraft Untold Stories and having trouble understanding if I like the game or not. But I risk writing an uninteresting mass of text over the subject, so...
Maybe it's a bad game that I happen to like despite its design flaws ? Probable.

I use LastPass, it's usually quick and they auto generate a password for you. but you can't do it in bulk (I think?).

i wouldn't recommend it ... especially after they changed the TOS earlier

Well, I picked up Tetris Effect despite my earlier claims that I'd be smart about it and get it cheaper. To be fair, it's at a historical low and you get part of the soundtrack

Based on Mark MacDonald's comments on Era, I get the impression the "Connected" exclusivity didn't necessarily mean it couldn't come to Steam, but they held off on it to do a simultaneous release on all other platforms. It's worded a little imprecisely, but I think that's what he meant.

I'm still a little bitter at Mark MacD for taking all those deals in the first place, honestly. I've been a big fan of his due to EGM (and later, the 8-4 podcast), and seeing Enhance taking consecutive deals with Sony (.... then Epic.... then Microsoft) kinda stung.

I mean, I really love the game, and I did double dip on Steam (my other copy is PS4), but... damn, son. Three consecutive timed deals.

If they try anything like this again for the inevitable sequel (or whatever Mizuguchi gets up to next), I am absolutely all the way out, despite my personal love for TE.

Ah, Titanfall 2 is one of the greatest FPS campaigns ever made. I replayed it again recently, and certain moments still gave me chills.

This is a great set of recs! On the indie side of things, Maximum Action and Ultrakill are indeed incredible for when you just want to fill randos full of lead (especially the former).

I don't mind calling out Cyberpunk out like this, a game that still features pretty transphobic adverts.
I can see why Era would be hesitant about doing the same to all games from Activision Blizzard, Ubi and so forth, as big AAA titles are essentially most of the threads in any gaming forum. But if you are going to be pragmatic about that, then it feels strange to treat CD Project like an outlier.

Limiting the Cyberpunk discussion was a decision made in coalition with the trans community, since CDPR targeted them specifically. I don't think the situation with Activision or Ubisoft is comparable to that?

Activision/Blizzard people did far worse things (remember one employee committed suicide as result of those issues). Ubisoft did similar things. You can't say that you are for the better industry and then treat same and similar issues differently based on who is targeted or not. Being sh*t to human being is core issue and it should be treated equally in my opinion.

Not sure if it's a good answer, but one is a direct attack against a minority community within the board (many of whom were calling for boycots and reduced talk about the game), and the other affects game developers who aren't really calling for a boycott (as it would affect their livelihood too) but rather for reforms. Feels like a different situation.

No, I mean limiting the Cyberpunk topics was a way to create a comfortable and safe space for the trans community. It was not an attempt to solve the situation or necessarily send a message.

This cannot be compared to ATVI/Ubi since there are no specific victims outside of the workplace at those companies. What would the point be of limiting the discussion of Blizzard games - to create a comfortable space for posters; or an attempt to send a message/decrease their revenue?

For sure, it's too bad that it took so long to come to where I'd like to play it. I wonder if it's a matter of them being a small studio/publisher. I'm sure Rez did alright, but maybe not that alright, and Tetris probably isn't a cheap license. But, much like Tetris Effect helps you to get into a zone with the game, Epic's shenanigans have made me a very patient player

As much as I like to rag on DBD for being garbage, the Demogorgon really is one of the best designed killers in the game. If anyone has any interest in DBD, it's probably worth picking up before it gets delisted.
