Iirc, (Yakuza 0 substory) you need to play the real-estate management game until you've beaten the two bosses and acquired their properties. Then Kiryu should receive a phone call about a tax inspection. After that, a new Substory will trigger. Complete it, and you should receive the accessory as the reward.

Having only played the first one back in the day, I was moderately hyped. But, and I’m open to the idea that it’s just snobbery, the changes do nothing for me at first glance.
I guess I could play the old versions, but then there are the two gigantic cans of worms : DLC availability and their prices. Not sure I want to invest the time to properly make sense of this shit. Or pay through the nose for those DLC.
