Release first game last? That makes sense.
It's because it's the remake of the first game, released after the second and third games. It hasn't seen a western release date yet on PS4/Vita outside of "early 2020." I imagine the PAX South Panel NISA is hosting should shed more info about a release date for those versions at least.

Here's the other game. What's special about these games. I heard the name before but I know nothing about them.

Known for it's story/gameplay?
I posted a lengthy write up of explaining what Uta is on reddit here for anyone totally unfamiliar with the series

Sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but since no one ever checks the buy/sell/trade thread (more people need to start using it, we have a feedback system in place and all! ;) ), I just dropped the price on all the games I previously listed (including some that are no longer sold on Steam):

So, do check it, if you are looking for a game recently bundled on Humble, or that few games that were removed from Steam that I list at the end.

Thanks :giggle:

I stopped playing Impossible Lair on EGS when I realized the game supports Remote Play on Steam which I have been using quite often lately.

So I put the game back on my Steam wishlist. Thanksfully I only arrived on chapter 5/20 in the EGS version, so didn't get far.

Interesting option added to the new Nvidia drivers.

Maximum Framerate
In response to overwhelming demand from the community, we have introduced a new Maximum Framerate Setting into the NVIDIA Control Panel. Use the maximum frame rate setting to set the max framerate a 3D application or game can render. This feature is particularly helpful when trying to save power, reduce system latency or paired with your NVIDIA G-SYNC display to stay within variable refresh rate range.
I wonder if it's better, the same or worse than framerate limiting through RTSS.

Interesting, in Prey, I was little lost so I had to run back and forth a bit and I got so frustrated with enemies respawning that I put the game to easy but at that moment I kind of lost interest. At first I thought it was because I put it to easy, like how I thought always before, but I think what it really is, is that I got so frustrated with the game to such point that I changed it to easy, but at that point it was already too late. With all that said, I should have just played on easy from the start and I am going to continue it because I love so much about the game! I don't think my "being over it" with the game is a permanent state just a temporary one. Which is a new good thing for me to consider, with other games where I have done the same but never went back to them,

This sounds really good for Umineko Golden Fantasia. It'd be nice to not have to boot up RTSS every time to limit the FPS just to stop it from running at double the speed.

The decision to have Nioh set in an alternate Japan where armor is made of paper is a curious one.

Rather a nice price for the game...wonder if it is a price error >_>;
So you guys Mega Man 11 is quite good. Playing through it now.
The difficulty options it has allow for one to at least learn the stages and know where hazards would be in harder difficulties.

You might ask "What has that to do with Steam? I'll have you know that with Moonlight, you can turn your hacked Vita into a portable PC gaming machine.
Hope the Switch gets a super-easy hack like 3DS. The lite especially would be sweet.
Good stuff there.
Gotta use the occasion to plug my own interests.
Cross-post from BST. Better chances here since there are a whole lot more viewers here.

Thanks for the heads-up.

I was unaware of it, and it's a local (Portuguese) game.

It seems it's an educational game that, to quote the developer, «uses game mechanics to teach kids about the importance of Recycling, Water, and Planet Resources».

And, to further quote the Creative Europe page:

«Journey to New Atlantis is a post-apocalyptic adventure game for the age range 8 – 12 for PC/Mac with a complimentary application for mobile devices. The game follows Lana and her friend Marco in their quest to find water for Lana’s ill grandfather, in a world almost completely dried up. Lana’s grandfather tells them of an oasis city called New Atlantis, and the two children will need to brave sandstorms, roving bands of survivors, and traverse wonderful landscapes that show humankind’s effect on the environment. A point-and-click adventure mix of Pixar films and the classic Journey to the West set in a post-apocalyptic world, the game shows the effects of human industry on the planet and educates them that anyone can contribute to a different, better tomorrow. Journey to New Atlantis will lead the player through encounters like jumping off skyscrapers buried in sand with a dune buggy, walk through a gigantic spaceship that has crashed through a mountain, and outrun men dressed in armadillo armor made from salvaged scrap metal. Each encounter will feature puzzles that focus on logic skills appropriate for the age range, as the game has received extensive consulting from a child and family development specialist. A fiction genre dominated by adult entertainment, Journey to New Atlantis seeks to give children their own post-apocalyptic adventure, as their investment in the future is greater than most. A world adapted for them, players will see the impacts of environmental irresponsibility, while also experiencing child-friendly action and intensity. In essence: less Mad Max, more Future Boy Conan.»

Das Geisterschiff / The Ghost Ship is once again on sale (in preparation for the launch of the upcoming spin-off game Der Geisterturm / The Ghost Tower):

I still need to play the full game (another title sitting in my backlog :giggle:) but I did play the demo, and while I'm sure it's not a game that would be everyone's cup of tea, I found the combination of the graphics style and minimalistic electronic soundtrack very appealing.

If anyone wants to try a demo, there's one on the itch.io page:

Yeah apparently it doesn't convert formats. I never use it for youtube audio, sometimes for bandcamp which is mp3.

What is the stress test?

It is a public and free test for Temtem. We want to run this test in order to have a better estimation of how the servers will behave on launch day.

As a user, participating in the stress test will allow you to take a first look at Temtem before the game is released and in the process, help us out.

How do I sign up?

You can sign-up using your email on Temtem

You will be contacted between Jan 9th and Jan 10th, and you will be given a Steam key which you can redeem for test access.

If I play during the stress test, will I own the game when it launches?

No. The Stress test key will only grant access during the stress test hours. In order to keep playing Temtem when the game is released on January 21st, you'll need to buy the game.

Will progress made during the stress test be kept on the release?

No. Everything will be wiped out from the server before going into the Early Access release.

Are there any limits on available content during the stress test?

No. Everything currently available on the Alpha will be available during the stress test (the campaign, co-op, pvp, trading...).

I am a backer. Do I need to get an invitation?

No. If you currently have access to the Alpha, you'll get access to the stress test. You will be able to use the same player you currently have and the same installation you have for the Alpha.

Will progress done during the Stress Test carry forward when the game launches?

No. Everything will be wiped before launching the game into Early Access.

Pretty hyped for Temtem, but don't think I'll be able to take part on the stress test :pensive-face:

Been talked about a bit earlier, but here's the official Nvidia post.
  • Max Frame Rate: Cap Frame Rates, Save Power, and More
  • Variable Rate Supersampling: Improve Image Quality In VR
  • New Freestyle Splitscreen Filter To Showcase Your Creations
  • Image Sharpening Update Further Improves Your Experience
  • Support For Newly Validated G-SYNC Compatible Displays
  • Game Ready For Wolfenstein: Youngblood’s Ray Tracing Update
  • Game Ready For Quake II RTX v1.3 Update
  • Optimal Playable Settings For More Games

This needs to come to non-VR. Maybe use a standard webcam for eye-tracking.

Time to stockpile my friends
What's that?

Also I grew up in a weird time, so I am not sure what I would be called, since I didn't have the same access to the internet and things like that that a lot of my friends had. Maybe that's why I am out of touch.

By the way why are game kiosk not a thing any more at fast food places? I remember when I was a kid how MCD would have PS2 kiosk that you could play games on, not just that but places like GameStop use to have them as well. They are a dead breed now, but yet it seems like sort of a common thing in Japan?

Kiosk was how I "found out" about certain games without knowing what they actually were. Some examples include stuff like Wind Waker (I played it at both Toysrus and Walmart and had no idea what Zelda was, I don't think any of my friends ever really talked about that series back then) and stuff like ICO which I was pretty dang sure was a Xbox title (but I was wrong).

So we go have demos for games but a lot of the time PC doesn't get those demos (and there are even some demos that carry over your save data).

By the way shipping for the PSU was $10USD and I spent an extra $4USD to have UPS pack the thing for me. So I am really hoping that it arrives at it's destination tommorow and that all goes well.
