Very cool looking indie JRPG.

They haven't made a bad metroidvania yet, and they've made a bunch so far.

Mainly because I got it in the Choice and because I like the artstyle, lol.

Loved the original Subnautica.

Junji Ito-inspired weird horror RPG? Sign me up.

Big monsters.

The artstyle is amazing.

Mechs!

Devil May Cry x Magical Girl

Not gonna lie though, I don't tend to be aware of Early Access stuff too much. The only ones that I think will almost definitely turn out to be very good are Subnautica and Lodoss War. Everything else is just "This looks cool" and may or may not be good in the end 😅
Lots of interesting games there!

I was planning to buy Batman Enemy Within from the Steam sales, but now it is on the 1 euro tier bundle
I already bought it. Thank god for refunds!

Hmh why can't I see summer sale cards on steamtradematcher?
Yeah steamtradematcher is under heavy load it seems. I'm using this 1:1 bot instead

And so far the Insight numbers have been real close, I remember @Durante made a comment about TOCS numbers and they were more or less correct, also we have been checking with other devs and official data and it matches pretty well, so it's safe to say that the service is worth checking from time to time. :cat-heart-blob:
... and supporting on patreon ;)

Playtracker doesn't report EGS numbers?
they do :) well ... what Mor said :)

I think I'm suffering from Supraland withdrawal. There were times when I found it overstayed its welcome a little bit but I'd still fire it up and play a couple hours each day. Today is the first day where I don't (finished the post-game completion yesterday) and I'm really tempted to just say fuck it and get the DLC.

I really should just get back to Persona 4 until Death Stranding comes out...

I mean, Tim still has time to delay the Steam release of Steelrising, but suprising it didn't happen before the game was announced.

Maybe Nacon uses EGS as a dumping ground for games they don't expect to sell much of at all?

We are excited to announce that we are partnering with our friends at Nacon in releasing Roguebook!

While we will receive help with publishing the game, Roguebook will be developed exactly as we described on the Kickstarter. Our work continues as usual. It’s important to us that we maintain creative freedom in whatever project we work on, and we know that’s what you would expect from us. Nacon has proven to be perfect for us in these regards, and we’re happy to be working with them.

Work on the (Steam) prototype has ceased, and there have been quite a few interesting updates we haven’t shared yet
Reference: a Kickstarter post.

There was someone playing Hardspace: Shipbreaker in here. How is it performance wise at the moment?
Not very good. 1080Ti here. Framerate starts at 60 and can drop to 40s depending on the conditions of the ship you are working on. Usage is around 80-85%. The game also does not have many graphic options:

Edit: CPU is 7700k

I wonder how long I can last with only upgrading my GPU. I only plan on getting a RTX 3080, but depends on price and performance gap from my GTX 1080, but mostly price.

Hope my 5820k 4 ghz can last until at least 21 or better, 22. Don't wanna build a new PC just yet.

No idea though if 1080p is GPU or CPU dependant.

Why not monitor your CPU and GPU usage in any AAA game? Upgrade your GPU as high as your budget allows, and check the CPU usage. If it's higher than 70%, you're CPU-bottlenecked.

Haswell-E series is a powerhouse CPU, unless you need more threads, it'll last a little while longer.

End of Personas games are always bitter sweet :loudly-crying-face:
Which games are you all waiting to be completed and released from Early Access?

I'm still waiting patiently for Secrets of Grindea, bought it in 2015 and I finished all the story it had released back in the day so I decided to wait until the full release.

Even if it never gets finished, very happy with this purchase. Friends and I had a blast cooping through what was there of the Story, and even the arcade mode was pretty well done.

Final Fantasy XIII and XIII-2, back when they were released there was a mod for XIII-2 that turned off the game's lousy framepacing, but the result with that was that while the framerate was more stable, when drops happened they would result in slow motion.

Today I saw in the steam forums that there's a fix that has been updated for the past half year or so, not only this newer fix doesn't have the slow motion problems anymore, it also supports XIII, not just XIII-2.

While framerate drops still happen, with my PC (i7 9700K/GTX 1660 Ti) they're less frequent and they're much smaller drops (for example, in the XIII crystarium menu, instead of the framerate dropping to 30s, it drops to mid 50s).

Link to the fix:

XIII-2 screenshots before and after the fix (steam framerate counter in the top right, RTSS overlay isn't working for me on these games):

Maybe it's time for me to grab the FF XIII trilogy then, :dana_think:

By the way, I have close to 40K Steam Points and nothing to spend it on, so if anyone is collecting badges and still need any awards for their screenshots or reviews just let me know.

I've been browsing the RPG section on Steam, and I found quite a bunch of Chinese ones. While some of them are still not translated yet to English, there are actually some efforts from the community to translate the game themselves. There are also some discussions/petitions for English translation in the Steam forums. Here's some examples:

The English translation of the first one (Fate Seeker) is actually pretty decent and pretty much completed, and I'm intrigued to pick up the game for that.

Edit- worthwhile article to read

That article may as well apply to all of society, and I mean that in a good way. People looking the other way and the slow descent into madness in which abusive and bully behaviors are normal and fighting back is not.

It is an epidemic, at least from my standpoint having grown up with it. The victim blaming and belief that somehow extending compassion is wrong are among the things that have galled and hurt me the most lately.

It pretty unoptimised atm. Frequently drops to 30fps for me and when depositing a large chunk of ship in the furnace towards the end it can slow to 3-4fps.

And just like that, Horizon has fallen out of the global top 10 sellers.
Yup, sale almost at the end and people buying more aggressively, we will see if it comes back to the first places after it, it seated in top 2 since day one until today. 👀
