Far as I understand, this isn't dota so much as a variation on chess.

I don't know how to play chess.

It's a multiplayer instance-based srpg with auto-combat. The chess part of the name is derived from the layout of the combat arena, it is/plays nothing like chess.
The only link to Dota2 are the characters, this game is completely different.

There is not much chess to it either lol

Like I said before, it's an asymmetric deck builder. Characters have stats and synergies, you manage a small economy to build a team with them, you place them on the board, and your team automatically battles other teams being built from the same pool of characters as yours.

It has quite a few systems, but you'll get the hang of it in an afternoon.

Im started a new game + of Dying Light. Carrying over your weapons and stats makes a big difference to the early game. Im slicing up those zombies no problem.

Its a really nice looking game still and running through the city is a lot of fun.

And I probably would have bought it at that price.

Same... though I really wouldn't have because I try to only buy MSRP if I'm going to play it immediately. I know I'm not ready to jump in. The last game I bought at $59.99 was Far Cry 5; however, I played and beat the game before I jumped into anything else. I hate buying games at $59.99.

Wait.

Actually, the last new game I bought at "MSRP" was Risk of Rain 2, but that deal was too good... plus I got to gift a friend. I'm a little more forgiving with indies at MSRP. However, I like to wait on sales.

I'm still unsure how to proceed in cases like this, Raw Fury are obviously major scumbags and blacklisting them completely wouldn't be the biggest loss. But then they publish Clifftop Games (Whispers of a Machine, Kathy Rain) which I want to keep supporting.
Well you could inform the devs positively (via twitter), while trashing Raw Fury.

Yeah I feel the same. Sabre looks really good. I like to encourage smaller devs that make interesting games. Their publishers making snidey comments and belittling peoples concerns creates a bad atmosphere all round.

Doubtful that Sable (with an L) will release on Steam. And one of their other games Night Call had yesterday as the release date but nothing happened.

Fuck PC Gamer, but...

Xbox's Phil Spencer on Game Pass, Steam and the Epic Games Store

"My expectation is that our games will be available on Steam. You can never say 'always ever', because then something will happen with rights in certain situations where something might not happen, but we have a really good relationship with the team over there. We go over and talk with Scott Lynch, Erik Johnson and Gabe a lot about the plans we have—it's a good, healthy conversation. So there's nothing in our plans that would say there's a reason we wouldn't continue to ship our games on Steam, and they've been incredibly supportive with us which I appreciate."
