still thinking if I should read the guides or go completely blind, don't want to miss out on anything important.
I'd argue a mix: go blind, but make sure to get the jester social link to level 6 before November and the aeon social link to 10 before December. (I hope that hint is sufficiently spoiler-free for anyone ;))

Once you've cheesed the in-game economy by completing some of the Fox side quests you can pretty much grind dungeons indefinitely.
IMHO in Golden you can even do it before rather easily, just need to use the restore cards on "simple" floors to replenish while keeping the clear streak up.

... which makes it even more silly IMHO that they didn't make dungeon visits a free action in terms of overall time management, since it just means that anyone who wants to play efficiently will have massive "dungeon" gameplay blocks interspersed with massive "non-dungeon" gameplay blocks, while the pacing would benefit much more from more variety over smaller time spans in my opinion (e.g. being able to make a quick visit to complete a specific side quest, rather than doing 10 of those + the main quest in a single visit).

Bad fundamental design in a game that has many very good aspects, IMHO.

And this was the exact point I gave up on Heavy Rain during the Ps3 era.
I'm sure with enough alcohol it's funny. I think the issue people have with Cage is that they take his games seriously, instead of seeing them as unintentional comedy (aka the best kind of comedy). Even the controls and mechanics are kinda funny to me, when playing the demo. Like how did this mess pass Q&A?

Still can't buy ME2's DLCs on Steam, because EA can't make even that little effort.

I'd say hold for now and see which remaster is EA actually working on (I kinda want Dead Space remastered along with Mass Effect...).
Do you even have to nowadays? They've got all the installers to them available publicly somewhere on the Origin site. Or does the game do an ownership check regardless?

Outer Wilds
I'd rather have Outer Worlds ;)

How the ever flying fuck do you ship an OS where the user can set the whole power saving thing at maximum efficiency, and still require him to uncheck some option lost in a jungle of shitty menus to NOT DEACTIVATE [a bluetooth dongle] when the OS feels like it ? :dizzy-face:
I had the exact problem with my bluetooth dongle, my wireless headphones would randomly disconnect... so irritating.

You guys will like Titanfall 2's Single Player campaign.
It's good! But I never finished it... I wonder what the price is... maybe I'll re-buy it despite already owning it on Origin.

Not sure if the DLCs on Origin are compatible with Mass Effect 2 on Steam, but yeah, technically you could download the DLCs from the Bioware Social thing and play them with your Steam game.

I have the DLCs on the Bioware thing, but it certainly would be better to have everything easily accessible from the same place I download the main game from..

Titanfall 1 doesn't have a campaign :p
Like Mor
Mentioned TF1 does have a campaign but it's multiplayer only.

Also it auto rotates. From what I recall it shows you the campaign from both sides.

What sucks is that you don't just start at the beginning and you can just be put at the end and be confused as to what is happening.

I wanted to experience it myself a few times but it's just all over the place

It might be better to just watch a YouTube video instead.

I wrote to the Art Sqool dev the same thing I wrote here. Didn't think it would amount to anything, but it seems GameSpot, Kotaku and other sites published articles on him a few days later and story picked considerable amount of steam. I opened twitter in the morning to find out that I have more than 500 likes from people who would probably hate me if they knew that I'm Muslim.

Next time guys you ought to tell me to keep my mouth shut.
There's nothing wrong with being right. It's unfortunate that this kind of crowd is still a thing but there shouldn't be anything wrong with saying the right thing no matter who reacts to it.

It's all about the point, not who says nor agrees with it in my opinion.

10 billion new releases to play right now... so I picked up Dead by Daylight and started playing that instead. This is why I'm never going to make any progress on my backlog.

I know I'm super late to the party here, but Dead by Daylight is great. The core mechanics are simple, but it's a blast whenever a chase breaks out and the mindgames start. Baiting your opponent into running the wrong way is the best.

Will be playing Concrete Genie (PS4) while I wait for Outer Wilds to drop.

Gotta say I really like this thing where I only buy games I will play right away. Bought Concrete Genie yesterday (51% sale), will play that today and will start on Outer Wilds today when Im finished with Concrete Genie (game is apparently 3-5 hours long). Meaning I won't buy QD games or Titanfall 2 today.

Thought about picking up Medievil too since I haven't even played the original game, but Concrete Genie and Outer Wilds will be played first and after those it will be P4Golden and then Desperados 3 and then Thronebreaker, so I decided to not buy Medievil. By the time Im ready for Medievil it will probably be on an even deeper sale.

There's a piece of news that has made me endlessly giddy and excited. Star Citizen is going through a pretty fundamental Flight Model change, it looks amazing and I feel like I have to nerd out about it.

To understand the joy there, you have to imagine what it's like to have been playing that game for close to 8 years and have seen every iteration of that flight model come and go. From amazing and promising to slow and plodding, from twitchy hummingbirds to flawed simplifications and flat-out broken, it's really been places and never quite felt right. It's never given the impression of something that knew where it wanted to go, that gave as defined and unified a vision as it now does today.

To say that there's been bitter community in-fighting around flight in SC would be a massive understatement. It's a small sub-culture that would both amaze and horrify you if you dug into it. The flame wars surrounding controller balance, IM, pvp and others were biblical. Point is, in those changes are solutions to long-standing problems (high speed combat, abrupt movement, depth of flight decisions, UI) that feels like water in the desert. They went from seemingly having no idea where they are going to resuming on the path they were on and implementing both community and developer ideas from over two years ago. Hell, even Torque might be making a return and white whales I thought we'd never see like Jerk suddenly made an appearance.

Flight has historically been one of the things that SC has never really nailed down while coming really close to greatness. And it's been really frustrating because no other sim short of ones like KSP have ever gone into such detail, fidelity and breadth in simulating their virtual spaceships. Space sims are really, really freaking hard. After so many years waiting, this seemed to me like we are finally getting closer to something really right and it's put a huge smile on my face.

Also, SW:Squadrons reveal today, please be good!

It was fun while it lasted.

Steam currently collects the below taxes. Taxes may be inclusive, meaning that they are included in the price; or additive, meaning that they are added at checkout.

Inclusive means already in the price or you already see games more expensives?
Im curious because in Chile they added taxes but still not in the steam page you linked.

How do you see if you got the expansion pack on GOG?
Like I said, I got another popup/header on the Witcher 3 game page inside gog galaxy, this time for the GOTY edition. The game is a whole separate entry via gog.

Hmm... Didn't get any notice. I have both expansions on Steam
I had to visit my Witcher 3 gog library entry a couple of times. I read that someone got the GOTY today so I tried and tried until I saw it. Maybe takes some time for the client to update.

Sounds great, will definitely want to check it out, I also heard there will be an engine optimization coming sometime this year?

Fuck, I forgot that I will receive my copy of TLOU 2 tommorrow. Too much on my plate.
Yeah, that's why I want Outer Wilds to release already so that I can get started today. Already got TLOU2 preloaded to play in around 8 hours time.

Restarted GOG Galaxy a few times since it wasn't able to scan through my steam library completely. In the end I got the GOTY version too

I'm not sure how it'd work either, but it says inclusive so I guess games aren't getting more expensive after all.

Inclusive means they are already in the price and you (as a consumer) don't notice. Valve (and consequently the publisher) just get a smaller part of the price.

This might eventually lead publishers to increase the regional price for the region to compensate when taxes are collected for that region; but in practice, I extremely rarely see that much thought being put into regional prices, so I doubt it matters much.
