Baldur's Gate 3 looks so good. Some of the character designs have been improved(Shadowheart's hair for example) and I know it's not AAA but the graphics are perfect for me. :smiling-eyes:

Supposedly she has been predicting a Nintendo Direct soon for some three weeks now
Dang, Nintendo Directs are a sacred thing. You don't mess with them, else other will mess with you.

So says the laws of nature /s

But ya people get really touchey when it comes to those events.

Also the end of the GC thing was funny. Xbox was a Gold sponsor so they said their name but then at the end they just said "these other guys".

I have a weird sense of humor

Persona Day started a little early, I see! Gonna hold off a bit in case there's a launch discount that hasn't been applied yet, gonna watch the PC Gaming Show anyway. Also cautiously excited to see what else SEGA might have to announce.

First time I've seen Meta crash.

Anyway, P4G works perfectly on my end (playing with a DS4), it's beautiful. Returning to Inaba actually makes me emotional, it's such a special place.

I was pretty sure the price would be 20 euros, I'm glad they were reasonable. Glad to see it at nº1 on steam, I hope it does really well.

I can't buy Persona 4 because the previous purchase is pending, so i reckon Stean's servers are slow at the moment. First time i've ever had a purchase sit in limbo for 10 minutes tho.

demo for this came out the other day - basically Firewatch with a ghost. a bit rough around the edges but seems promising if you wanted another narrative game in the "quasi-open world where you're constantly talking to someone" mold, especially as In the Valley of Gods seems to be dead

I'm appalled at all the people calling "Doom clones" instead of "Painkiller clones". Console plebs :jj_potato:

Ofc Epic moneyhats Mortal Shell. Really interested in that shame now gonna take it off my wishlist. Devs who keep putting up steam store pages to gather wishlists just to later do 180s continue to be trash 😡

I guess I'll just give that money to Nioh 2 instead if it makes it out later this year. And/Or Bloodborne PC if that rumor turns out to be true.

It was funny a bit over a week ago, when people were discussing Bloodborne and how almost everything seems to be releasing on PC, and someone made a joke about how at least we know that Persona will never happen.

I read that literally as I was alt-tabbing from P4G to metacouncil.

Durante's P4G port article is really great but I couldn't help take out that bit in particular:

What I discovered was quite shocking: an average frame in P4G produces between 15000 and 20000 API calls. In fact, as pictured above, a single desk in a classroom is generated using over 50 individual draw calls, each only dealing with a handful of polygons and only covering a tiny amount of pixels.
[...]
However, there is a question of how much running into these limitations actually matters in the end for a game like P4G. Would it be nice to be able to run it at a locked 240 FPS? Yes. Is the basic capability of running at greater than 60 FPS at all more than I expected going into this? Yes again. So if, perhaps, the development resource decision was between making the game work at arbitrary framerates, and optimizing the drawing scheme, then I would very clearly say that the right decision was made.

It was a pleasure to read something like this written by someone who actually is able to pull up RenderDoc, get in there and argue the benefits of choices by putting them in perspective other than "lazy dev". As someone who tends to get annoyed when journalists quote developpers without providing proper context to actually make sense of the quote, this is a great example.

Besides that, this article touches on many points that are usually brushed away dismissively : locked internal resolution, color fidelity, proper PC options. This article goes far beyond the kind of insight that most reviewers usually offer and I'm pretty happy it was written at all :).

Maybe I'm too cynical but I definitely got the feeling the money was good this year.
Last one was more subtle, this year it was indeed a big EGS push. Which in itself, considering the offering, is... kinda pathetic.
Among Trees got in and out of my radar super fast, and apart from Twin Mirror... :shrugblob:

Intrigued to see Iron Harvest in the sizzle reel, after nearly begging for wishlists last year saying they would be on Steam.

Hmh don't even know where to start trouble shooting not having sound ingame P4G except in the cutscenes. Not I've ever had such problem before.

Probably Denuvo!XD
I'd start by opening the windows settings for audio (the good, Win7 ones), and
1) disabling all audio devices you aren't using.
2) checking the one you are using atnd setting it to 2 channel 48 kHz, if possible (which it should be).
3) running the game again and seeing what happens.
