Nothing official
Weird.

Oh well, no big loss, I suppose. They used to be the show I was most interested in by default but they probably wouldn't talk about anything PC anyway. And now that MS and Bethesda have joined forces, that's going to be the one to watch for me anyway.

Yay, NMH 1 & 2 PC. Deleting my Dolphin backups. Although I'd prefer to play the originals with the Wiimote etc. mine is just about going out of commission and I can't find authentic Nintendo stuff mint for less than like 100 with shipping which is ludicrous considering the gazillions out there, retro price gouging at its worst.

StrEam 3 coming up quick. It really feels like people are getting thier hopes up in vain to me. Maybe some cool stuff gets announced for next year but I'm not optimistic. I have no sources, just pessimism.

Feels like the back half of the year is gonna be Nintendo games and not much else lol.

Yeah, L:Earth is an acquired taste for sure.

The game engine is pretty damn crusty/rickety for sure. But once it clicks, you're off to the races and the weird menu navigation becomes second nature.

I found myself going to the dev's Discord page any time I felt stuck or unsure of mechanics. It's pretty dang active and the crowd is friendly as hell (as you might imagine for such a niche title).

Best advice would be to follow the numbered work-orders sequentially and read the descriptions closely as the first couple dozen serve as a tutorial.

Glidercat also has a nice tutorial series on YT as well.
There's a Steam guide tutorial as well I was going to look at. I was reading the in-game tutorial but the descriptions of what I should be seeing didn't match what I was actually seeing, so not sure if it's a bit out of date or I was just way off somehow. The overall concepts I think make sense, I just need to figure out the details and how to actually like, see things.

Yeah, I think part of it might be that the dev is just one guy and he may have copy/pasted some tool-tips from the previous two Logistical games into Earth where they may not actually apply.

The franchise reminds me of Dwarf Fortress & Crusader Kings in that it asks a lot from the player upfront. So you kinda have to start with an inquisitive approach going in. And perhaps even enjoy learning curves in games (I actually think that's the most exciting chapter in most any random title).

It's a tough nut to crack. But it's pretty smooth sailing once you get the fundamentals down. Another reason I think it's hard is that there's not much out there like it, so you don't have common genre knowledge to fall back on to pick up the slack.
