How silly.
I believe it is from here that they got complaints from

I like the name Grim Guardians. Gal Guardians reminds me of GalGun series... I assume it's ok for them use the word Gal since GalGun is developed by IntiCreates too

When you go out of your way to piss off as many customers as possible you get what you deserve.
The Steam next fest demo was really fun. the game is good (though the port is basic, it ran well) but holy shit is the monetization the worst iv seen in a f2p game.
First of all they added back GACHA which they removed in the KR version. :astonished-face:
Then they had like 8-9 battle passes each costing like $55 and you have to spend a lot of money to upgrade the characters when they reach max level and all the main characters cost lots of money too.
On the PVP server you can spend real money to invest in ports :astonished-face: (becoming top invester makes you mayor and you can set taxes)
Im not really surprised just very disappointed.
As i said the other day im done with f2p garbage..

I played this a bit the other day and it seems okay to me. I have no real intention of paying for anything so I'm not bothered by the monetization. As a casual sailing and trading game it seems fine. I did have two issues with it though; first, I cannot get it to run at native resolution. The game settings do not let you choose the resolution at all... you can just select low/medium/high :surrenderblob: . It's definitely not rendering properly and screenshots are coming out at some weird 1832x1030 type resolution. The second thing is that main game systems seem extremely complex and involved. In my opinion there is an excessive amount of complexity with things like ship building, combat and later the management aspects of the game. Not necessarily a bad thing but the tutorials are extremely limited so the game doesn't properly explain all the mechanics. When you're just starting the game like I am there are so many menus and options to deal with that my eyes just glazed over honestly. My plan is to just casually play the campaign and I've set combat to auto resolve (which I hope will work all the way to the end). All I want is a sailing/exploring/trading experience out of it.

Mt. Whatever
Are you talking about the crashes regarding Returnal?
I agree that they really need to fix that, but we've played for 25+ hours in coop now on DX11 without a single crash.

Also, the game does support HDR in DX11 mode, the only thing you lose is raytracing (which really doesn't do all that much in Returnal).
Yeah the crashes and fatal errors which don't even bring up an error number or anything.
After we finish Sons of the Forest, if their still isn't a patch for Returnal maybe I can convince him to try the DX11 mode...

Its a mobile game so the pc features are nonexistent. when you turn off the mobile renderer you get motion blur and 2 other options but that is it. :poop:

Play this instead

It's set in the same universe as GalGun too, apparently.

I remember reading somewhere that Grim Guardians' gameplay (side scrolling level based CastleVania clone) is what the original design for GalGun was originally supposed to be, before they changed genre into a rail shooter.

So while the Wo Long patch hasn't improved anything, Wild Hearts is still garbage and the only good news about the Harry Potter game is that it got cracked, I came to notice that CDPR quietly disappeared and left The Witcher 3 to its sorry state as well, 3 months after launch.

If tonight the Resident Evil 4 demo fails me as well I swear I'm giving up gaming and becoming a monk

Wait, is it a port of Megaton Musashi or a spin off ? At the start of the trailer they say ‘a new Megaton Musashi project’.

the game is literally $130 in Argentina right now (and even before the change it was WELL above the new volvo recommendations), and it's not much better in most of the other countries:

i very much doubt it, even before this bullshittery it wasn't that much cheaper than the US price (same for Turkey, Brazil, and Colombia)

I just finished a first play through of RE2 remake. Do I go straight into the second run or play a different game for a little while to break it up?

Let us know!

I'm not sure I want to test it (by going back to DX12 from DX11) if the consequence might be to lose an hour of progress to a crash :p

Also, I wonder if this:
Optimised installation process to reduce file size.
Means "we no longer ship 5+GB of debug symbols to everyone".

Tested it in the endless tower dlc but maybe I shouldn't because the areas are quite small compared to the main game.

But the game definitely has less stutter in rooms/combat than before. Although the loading stutter is still there but I've been playing exclusively with dx12 and rtx on and this feels smoother/less stuttery than before.

Probably going to need to test it in biome 4 tomorrow. easy test is meleeing the plants, always makes the game stutter for me previously.
That $24 price was before tax, I think Argentina has huge taxes on Steam games so after tax it would be similar to the UK/US price
Ah, didn't know that. So the region hoppers get the taxes as well on checkout or not?

Good to know about the stutter -- although I never really had a big issue with that in the first place.

My main concern are the DX12/coop crashes.

The second of those rules is a requirement rather than a prohibition: If you release a multiplayer game on the Epic Games Store and Steam (or another PC store), you have to make it possible for everyone to play together, regardless of where they bought it. Epic offers a free solution for cross-launcher multiplayer called Epic Online Services, but says that developers can use their own online system if they prefer.

Steam does not have such a requirement for multiplayer games, and its free multiplayer API, Steamworks, does not work on any store except Steam. Sweeney has a bone to pick with Valve over that. In a call this week, the Epic CEO told me that "Steam has created a real problem for the industry" with Steamworks.
"They have a classic lock-in strategy where they build these services that only work with their store, and they use the fact that they have the majority market share in order to encourage everybody to ship games that have a broken experience in other stores," Sweeney said. "And we were bitten by this early on with a number of multiplayer games coming to the Epic Games Store. Steamworks didn't work on our store, so they had either a reduced set of multiplayer features or none, or they were just limited to a much smaller audience back in the launch days of the Epic Games Store, so you had a lot of multiplayer games that really felt like they were broken. And remember, Call of Duty went through a debacle launching on the Windows Store a while back in which you could only matchmake with other Windows Store players, and that is not how PC should work."
Outside of the submission guidelines, a big question for developers and PC gamers is how well the Epic Games Store interface will handle a potential influx of new games. When it introduced Steam Direct, Valve prioritized the development of Steam features that helped users discover games they might be interested in, such as the Discovery Queue. The Epic Games Store will continue to get interface updates, but as a matter of principle, Allison says that Epic will not track user behavior and use it to algorithmically recommend games. Epic has said in the past(opens in new tab) that it's more interested in supporting the game discovery that already happens outside of stores, such as on Twitch and YouTube.
