With all the recent chaos, I forgot to shill this super cute classically based JRPG that came out the other day. It has a nice chibi art-style, and it's mechanics go back to the old days with turn-based combat.

That looks like a PS1-era Tales game in 3D. What's with the episode stuff?

There are 3 episodes planned. It's a small dev, maybe even just one guy seeing how he words his posts. IE: He said "I plan to have Episode 2 out by December."

I don't know much more than that myself. Just thought it looked cute and wanted to signal boost it. :)

It looks like my type of game so I'll happily grab it once the entire story is out. Burned myself out from episodic JRPG stuff with .hack.

I hated Mad Max's open world mostly because that game's combat is fucking awful so beyond moving around everything was a fucking chore.

Hopefully Rage 2's gunplay makes up for it.

Yea I just meant the driving around in the open world, once you pop out at a destination it is better as the combat is fun shooty shooty. One thing that has annoyed me a bit so far (as a completionist) is that there are some little "points of interest" on the map that are pretty big and it says there are 3 chests there and I spend 20 minutes running around after clearing it looking for the last chest just to get the little check mark on my map.

Price drop, more content, achievements added.

Oh if its the driving then that's good, the driving was easily the best part of that game.

Game broke street date in a few countries.

I skimmed through it to see how it looks (good), Isn't that the exact same Ocean View track from Transformed? Do they have a lot of repeats?

The casino track looks great. Very MK8.

I think that's the first I've heard about Project Prelude Rune.

Anyways, anyone here play Front Mission 3? It's been on my mind recently for some reason. I played it a bunch back in the day but never finished it. And now I'm thinking about doing some emulating. There's always a small part of me that doesn't want to emulate old PS1 games for example in the hopes that maybe some day they'll release them officially. But who am I kidding.

It has two routes I think, suck though that the split happens right at the beginning, as far as I recall.

Such a cool game. It's one of two games I own for my Playstation Vita TV (lol) along with Persona 4. I haven't been able to play a lot of it either, but it's a game that I definitely will go back to some time in the future when I have more time to put into a game like that.
All I can tell you is that it features over 100 tracks from the Sonic series in its OST @o@
That|s a lot of racing tracks. :steam_pig_deadpan:

By tracks I mean MUSIC tracks, sorry ^^;

Valve sent out the obligatory summer sale email. I'm not going to leak the dates (it says CONFIDENTIAL after all), but I guess -- based on how many people get that information and past instances -- that you can expect it to be out there soon.

I assume the fact that there will be a Steam summer sale isn't confidential, it's not exactly unprecedented :p

Can you at least share if the mail states that devs must not discount above 66% off?
Each sale the discounts gets progressively worse.

I wonder if they will do anything unusual with the sale to combat the public perception of EGS beating Steam.

I do think that sales like this are one of, if not the best reason to use the platform. I've rarely had to buy games at full price because of the frequency and quality of past sales.

Still though, some lackluster discounts in the recent past. Would be interesting to see how a big sale game or something would affect the units moved.

Did Saleins do anything for people's numbers? I know I was on Steam way more to play that game.

It does not.

And I don't think Valve has ever done anything like that, there were many items on my wishlist last sale which were 80%+ off.
If there's a move towards giving less significant discounts, or waiting longer before doing so, then it's developer/publisher driven. (And makes sense for other market reasons / developments since the first Steam sales)

The game runs pretty well on RetroArch with Beetle HW core. Set the PGXP settings to memory only, since memory + CPU will result in glitches.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 has a Makoto Date badge as its level 5 badge.

Makoto fucking Date.

No Kiryu

Ryuji and Majima are level 1 and 2, respectively.

Makoto Date.

Summer sale will be the time to face my wishlist. Since the New Chinese Year sale, I have kept a maximum of 100 games there, and right now I've 86 games on it. I will organize it beforehand so I get to prioritize some games above others, in the hope that I actually get to play something I buy, like some people apparently do.

Cheers.
FM3 was actually the first game I tested that stuff when it first landed on the beetle core, but recall having some issues but can't really remember what.
It's also been over 2 years.

Woah, breaking an NDA just to let MetaCouncil in on this great scoop. Now that's some daring behaviour!

I forgot how fun A Hat In Time is. Going through some of the Death Wish stuff and it's a real blast.

Also trying out Oddworld New 'n Tasty! Dunno how I got that, I think it may have been free at one point. Also having real fun, when the game doesn't want me rolling under really fast meat grinders.
