I just want Microsoft to release a new generation 18-24 months after PS5 pro and switch 2 for the ultimate Troll factor
As funny as that disruption would be I don't think the Xbox hardware division is making it another 18-24 months tbh.
With hardware sales declining they are pretty much one bad financial quarter away from axing their hardware team and along with other studios to focus on being basically another EA/Activision/take-two.
And if the new Call of Duty underperforms in anyway it will get ugly. There is like 5 or 6 devs team at Xbox now who must be hanging on by a thread and Treyarch is holding that thread lol.

Yeah, I know. I talked for the last year that they won't release a new generation (an R&D into a new generation and Hardware deals are not 100% proof that a new generation will come out of it, canning a 95% complete new Xbox generation is still billions of Dollars cheaper than launching it for projected 10-20 million sales lifetime.=)
The most they will do is a haphazard cheap model in limited markets and will call it quits after 12-24 months with an "at least we tried" message.
They would need a complete overhaul of their hardware and software division and some crazy risks to stay in the race. Like a seamless Console / Handheld / Mobile / PC all-in-one Hardware/Software solution.
But just like Sony with PSN, Microsoft is unable to do something like that. Their interdivision rivalry and arrogance is their achilles heel.

Koei really works in mysterious ways. 2 years ago they did the same for Warriors Orochi 3: shadowdropped without any previous announcement, a steam release of a previously console-only and japan-only "all dlc included" update of a previous gen game, and once again no trace of the equivalent console release in the west
Well, more power to them, and more Warriors for me. It's really bad for their regional prices but for me 50€ for the whole SW4DX package is a deal, just like WO3U
