MUSIC STILL REFUSES TO PLAY

Is there some easy installer software that just does everything for me?

I have the music installed in Id1/music but no dice; game refuses to load the music =_=

EDIT: Better yet is there some case sensitivity to the id1 folder? Like it needs to be id1 and not Id1 or something?

Mosaic pre-orders are live. I had high expectations for this game but tried it a little bit on Apple Arcade when it launched and I actually found it kinda dull to be honest. I hope it gets better after the first hour but I won't pick it up at launch as I thought I would.

I just tried this for testing purposes and for me it plays ok when using vkQuake.
I have ...\Quake\Id1\music and the tracks are in ogg-format starting from track02.ogg.
Do you hear the classic Quake music Aftermath if you open console and type playdemo demo1.dem?

Yes it does! When I type that, music plays. Mind you I enter into Easy gate, but that shouldn't affect the music playing shouldn't it?

EDIT: If I type Play music in the console it gives me error
Couldn't load sound/music.wav

I do not have any .wav audio >_>;

EDIT2: I have both .mp3 and .ogg files in the music directory and hand't applied the Extra mission music

EDIT3: According to this I ought to be able to turn off or on the type of audio the game should play

I used it this summer and with a direct access to the quake.exe I played with music for the first time. Zero problems and easy to install, everything is automated.

I hope it helps :)

Bioshock is so good. (not the remaster it is horrible and crashes often), almost done with my replay for the first time since launch and it holds up really well. And then onto Bioshock 2, which I have never played.

Lemme try this. Worse case scenario:
Install this, music plays, then overwrite installed files with vkquake's.

Did you fix your problems with the game?

Bioshock 2 is the best one in the trilogy for me, I had a lot of fun with the game, very interesting and intriguing characters...

Remember to run it from the directory/direct access not through Steam and you will be fine ;)

Nope didnt fix, still get occasional crashes I try to exit the game and restart every 45 minutes or so just in case of lost saves. The loss of saves havent been too bad though, usually only about 10 minutes lost. I am almost done thankfully, I think I am on my way to the final boss so I will be done tonight anyways. Hoping Bioshock 2 remaster is better in terms of crashing.

One of the two videos I wanted to make for a long time is finally ready:

I know I'm kinda late with this review, but Assassin's Creed Odyssey is a HUGE game, and I sure took my time finishing it. Traveled around the whole map, completed all of the base game quests, and took dozens of screenshots because this game can be really beautiful. There's a lot of problems though, which I discussed in my video, mostly related to story ending and microtransactions. But if Ubisoft will continue to improve the new gameplay formula, the next AC game might become truly amazing.

Anyway, back to editing my second video that I wanted to make for a long time...

Is WARSAW any good?

Humble has a good price, with the monthly discount.

Music still not playing @_@
For whatever odd reason it keeps thinking it has to play the .wav version of the music...

So using that fan patch it won't play Demo1.dem, but will play the music if i tell it play Track02 or any music track.

I am not sure what the deal is here =_=

I don't know if that fits, since it's not on Steam yet, but I finished The Alliance Alive.

It's an odd mix of old RPGs, with progression not unlike SaGa, where you get stronger by fighting and unlock new skills by using old ones (but much less so than The Legend of Legacy that released two years before, there's no attack or defense stats here), and pretty much all of the upgrades are made of gear. Combat is quite good, even if much easier and ultimately, simpler than the previous game.
But it's also a bit of Suikoden, with NPCs to recruit and towers to build to make your guilds stronger, to get buffs, enemy info, craft new gear... and in general, if they are not really that interesting as characters, finding them and building your team is a big deal for exploration, good incentives to explore, even the world map is very important and offer a surprising large amount of secrets, from little gems to exchange for gear to big monsters to fight, as well as many, many optional zones and dungeons. And you have plenty of ways to explore the world, from a glider to a jumping rabbit, a flying dragon to a robot duck swimming in lava. It's small and pretty ugly (it's a 3DS game duh), but it has a lot of offer, and it's definitely less linear than usual.
Dungeons are also fairly solid, and they're mercifully short, even late game. The optional ones are all the same style though, so that's pretty sad.

A very good surprise, that would have been a cool RPG back in the PS1 days, and it really feels pretty unique.
On the other hand the story falters a bit near the end, where the early episodic format works very well, the bad guy is just not interesting enough to hold the plot.
... but the game also only lasts 30h or so, so it does not drag on, and does not try to piss you off by being super generous with checkpoints and never forcing you to grind.
And the music is somehow made by the bloke that did FFXIII's. Cool, but weird.

FuRyu definitely has some interesting games. I need to play Crystar at some point too.

That's so weird, have you tried playing different levels? For some reason the music in the first stages is so low that it may seem it's not playing...

I've maxed out the volume in the game and no music seems to output. I am gonna ssume the game loads the .ogg files. In which case...maybe I need a .ogg decoder? I can run .ogg using Windows Media player but maybe there is particular files needed for proper association?

I am lost here, I really want to get the music running properly but no dice.

Pistol Whip is real fun, Arizona Sunshine is a neat little zombie shooter, and Lone Echo looks like a fun space exploration/horror game but I think it's Oculus only.

You can get Arizona Sunshine and four other VR games (Rock Band, Killing Floor VR, Sprint Vector, and Star Trek Bridge Crew) with the purchase of a game in the Green Man +5 sale. I got R6 Siege for like $7.50 and got the 5 free games with it.

I was taking a look at VR games since I bought the Rift. Any opinions on Sairento VR, Windlands 2, Transpose and Pixel Ripped? They all look kinda cool.

So I only just realised that when you exit a game and all the screenshots are there in a row, you can right click one of them, hit manage screenshots and it brings up the screenshot uploader like you still get in the in game overlay.

What's the go to VR titles right now?

I'm well aware of Beat Sabre an Superhot VR but not much else and I'm mindlessly adding more things to my wishlist as I see them right now.
Raw Data is a game I always like to mention. It has some of the best skill-based VR action gameplay out there, and much more of a true learning curve (in a positive sense) than many of its competitors.

I am looking at Xcom 2 as my big December game and plan to play it with War of the Chosen. now my question is how I need to interpret HLTB listings. According to it Xcom 2 needs abit more than 30 hours and WotC needs 34 hours.
Anyone who played it can tell me if the WotC time is just for the expansion and additive to the base games time or if WotC „just“ alters a normal playthrough of Xcom 2 with only a few hours added.

Steam: Pistol Whip, Windlands 2. Gorn, Blade & Sorcery, Pavlov (CoD), Onward (Battlefield), Audica, Airtone, BoxVR, Blasters of the Universe, Space Pirate Trainer, Climbey, Budget Cuts, Compound, Cosmic Trip, Dreadhalls, Elite Dangerous, Everspace, Final Assault, Fujii, Gun Club, In Death, Iron Wolf (submarine simulator), Jet Island, Moss, Karange Chronicles. Raw Data, Red Matter, Sairento, Until You Fall, ZomDay (CoD zombies).

Oculus : Asgard's Wrath, Lone Echo, Edge of Nowhere, Wilson's Heart, Stormland.

All very good imo. There are a bunch more, but those are on the top of my head.

What's the consensus on State of Decay? Every same I add it to the cart but inevitably end up removing it. Right now it's pretty cheap on HB but it's not really a question of how expensive it is and more if it's worth the time investment.

Ok, you might don't know this but there's currently a Ban-wave happening on Steam, once a week Valve bans some devs/pubs and their content gets removed from the platform, normally this means like 20 games get banned/week, today's ban-wave is at 400 games and it doesn't seem to stop anytime soon tonight, it's probably the biggest one yet, I have never seen so many games deleted at once.

The number just keeps going up. 519 apps have been banned as of this moment.
